I was off last week because of the holiday.  Hope you all had a safe and profitable Thanksgiving in DFS.  As you know I try to pass along some news if there is any and advice.  The best advice I can give to any new or veteran player in DFS is bankroll management.  Can’t stress enough how important it is.  50/50’s are the best way to build your bankroll.  It doesn’t matter if you finish 1st in these contests.  All you have to do is beat half the field to double your money.  Yeah GPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool) money is nice but it’s hard to cash in these contests consistently.  What I do for example is if I was going to play $100 for the night, $85 of that is going to be in 50/50’s.  Now if I am just starting out I’m probably playing all my money in 50/50’s to build that bankroll up.  Hope this advice is helpful.  Now let’s get on with some picks for a smallish 6 game slate on Saturday night.

Point Guards

What I have been doing as of late is trying to fit in three PG’s on Draft Kings.  That strategy has been doing well.  Now we have some injuries to monitor with Ricky Rubio (Out), Tony Wroten (Out), Mo Williams (Quest.), Isaiah Thomas (DNP Fri.), Isaiah Canaan (Out), Patrick Beverley (Out), and Alexey Shved (DNP Fri.).  Also you never know if Pop will give Tony Parker the day off on the second game on a back to back.  So check the status of these players before you finalize your line ups.

Now I don’t have to tell you that Stephen Curry ($10,300)  and Chris Paul ($10,100) are good plays but if you want either of them  you are  going to have to pony up for them.  If you want to go cheaper than Michael Carter-Williams ($8,500)  is your man.  He has been money with Tony Wroten and Alexey Shved sidelined.  The last four games he has averaged around 50 Draft Kings points.  He is playing a ton of minutes and has Brandon Jennings defending him.  Add all that up and I can see another 50 burger from MCW on Saturday night.  He will be the first player I put in all my line ups.

The price for Derrick Rose ($6,100) is just too low.  In a game with a close spread and O/U around 200 he should easily pay off this salary.  Now there is always a risk of injury with him so I can’t fault you if you don’t play him in cash games.  Although this is the type of upside play that could cash some GPP’s for you.

Also consider Goran Dragic ($7,500) if Isaiah Thomas is out and Cory Joseph ($3,000) is a great cheap source of cap relief if Tony Parker gets the day off.

Shooting Guards

I am not seeing much value as of right now at SG.  That could change as we get closer to gametime.  If you want to pay up then James Harden ($11,300) in a fast paced game against the Suns.

Jason Terry ($5,700) has been seeing big minutes running the point for the Rockets.  His Draft Kings price has risen but he’s the only one the Rockets trust running the point right now with all the injuries they have.  This is a fine cash game play that should pay off 5x salary.

If you want a cheaper play J.J. Reddick ($4,200) has been shooting great lately.  14 for 22 the last two games.  He doesn’t do much of anything else but he is a source of cap relief.

Also, if Popovich decides to sit Manu Ginobili on the 2nd game of a back to back then Danny Green ($5,500) is a option.

Small Forwards

Unlike most nights there are a few good options a small forward.  I love the way Josh Smith ($8,200) has been playing since he has been a the 4.  Smoove has averaged 41 Draft Kings points the last 7 games.  Not bad huh?  With the 76ers coming to town I expect that number to continue.

Rudy Gay ($7,600) has a very nice price.  I would of expected him to be a little over 8k.  His usage rate goes way up with Boogie out with a virus.  The Magic don’t defend SF’s that well either.  He’s a fine cash game play.

K.J. McDaniels ($5,700) has been on a heater.  I just don’t know why he isn’t starting.  Anyway,  K.J. is a high energy guy that contributes in all areas of the game.  Ride the hot streak against the Pistons

Also, consider Trevor Ariza ($6,500) and Kawhi Leonard  ($7,700) if some Spurs sit.

Power Forwards

Anthony Davis is really good at basketball and his price shows ($11,600).

Pau Gasol ($8,600) is where I am going to plant my flag if I am going to spend some money at PF on Saturday night.  Pau has averaged 46 Draft Kings points over the last 6 games.  With Joakim Noah questionable I expect this number to continue

Nikola Mirotic ($5,300) if Joakim Noah is out, start him.

Reggie Evans ($4,500)  is a rebounding machine and seeing around 30 minutes with Demarcus Cousins out.

Centers

The Center position is a wasteland of injured players.  Four of the top six players listed are either out or questionable.  That doesn’t leave much after that.  I think this is a spot to save as much salary as you can.  Fill out the rest of your roster first and fill this position last.  With that said Omer Asik ($4,400), Kyle O’Quinn ($3,600) if Nikola Vucevic is out, and Aron Baynes ($3,800) if Tim Duncan sits.

If you don’t want to go cheap at center then just plug in Andre Drummond ($8,700)

Get over to Draft Kings and get in on some NBA action.  They have games at all different price points.
