This post is about my rankings compared to those at Yahoo and ESPN for the top 200 players. Keep in mind that there are usually two different rankings at both sites: default and draft room rankings. I’ve chosen to use the default rankings. Also, it’s not even September yet, so there could/will be modifications. In addition, I’ve made some changes to my rankings from the ones that were published during August on Razzball, as little tweaks were performed, which may have moved some players up or down a few spots.

Gerald Green was not listed in the Yahoo database. That’s why I put him at 1000.

Remember, this is just one tool to give you a broader view of the fantasy basketball landscape. Always factor in personal bias, wants, league/team context, roster construction, and average draft position.

    whats up my man, don’t you think the difference category should be w/re to your ranks and relative to yahoo! ranks?

    ie yahoo is the benchmark not your ranks yours are what we are seeking as advicement vs theirs so a player like DLoading is 81 on Y! and 131 in your ranks should be +51 away from Y! vs -51 as youve denoted. it may just be my bias and how i use benchmarks in my field

      @osama: Sup osama!!!

      Naw man because then I’d have to title the post: Yahoo rankings vs SONs and ESPNs. I’m not cool with that. I hear what you are saying, though, and initially made the sheet sortable. Decided against it because I thought it was cleaner this way.

    Hay Son great stuff. I think you really missed on Randle. I believe in Nola they will run a 3 man rotation and Randle will be at least as good as last year.

    DOnt you think Rondo can be relevant this year of the bench ?

      @Saints: Thanks Saints. There are a ton of guys that I don’t feel great about in my rankings. The range of outcomes for many are so wide. Randle is in that category. I just can’t project him for 3o minutes. In addition, he offers no 3s and very little D stats.

      As for Rondo, if you need assists, then he will likely be a cheap source. Outside of that, though, I don’t have him down for significant minutes and what else does he really contribute?

    Thanks for the stuff,

    So, Otto becomes the best fanatsy player in Wizards roster? Don’t feel it

      Ha! Yeah, I’m probably with you but it’s all context driven. From a floor and overall value perspective, Otto has a chance.
