I’ve got a great idea for a horror movie. Β This giant dude with a disheveled afro walks into various fast-food franchises and just stomps on everyone and gives them sub-90 sanitation grades. Β We’ll call it, “Andrew Bynum: Franchise Killer!” Β Dum, domp, dumb! Β Aka, the sounds Bynum makes when he talks. Β Oh man, Cleveland hasn’t been this happy since the Cavs beat LeBron and the Heat a couple years ago in Cleveland. Β And all this does for Bynum is get him moved to another team so he can be waived for a salary dump. Β I wish I dumped salary! Β No not celery! Β Anyway, the Bulls shipped off Luol Deng in their own celery dump (too many Chicago dogs) to Cleveland, while receiving some draft picks in full rebuild mode. Β Hey, if they don’t make the playoffs then no one has to berate Derrick Rose about his knee! Β What was Rose thinking saying he might try to come back… I’ve never been a big Deng fan, perils of being in tar heel country, and moving to a team with a lot of shooters (Kyrie Irving) and ball hogs (Kyrie Irving), I think Deng’s fantasy value takes a hit. Β Sure Deng still played well with a healthy Rose, but it’s just not a situation where I see Deng being as solid a fantasy guy with C.J. Miles and Dion Waiters also shoot first guys on the wing. Β And you can kiss the 7 boards a game goodbye with Tristan Thompson and Anderson Varejao pullin’ em down. Β I wouldn’t panic and give Deng away, but that’s just my take. Β Here’s what else I saw from last night in fantasy basketball:
Mike Dunleavy –Β Should be your starter at the 3 tonight. Β Deep league ThrAGNOF rejoice!
Tony Snell –Β A big winner in last night’s trade. Β I’ve talked about liking his game multiple times, and with the Bulls officially in a rebuild, look for him to get expanded minutes.
C.J. Miles – I took a gander at the NBA’s most-points allowed list, and man, Philadelphia is nearly seven points (!) a game the worst – giving up 111.1 per – than #29 Sacramento giving up 104.5 points a contest. Β That’s some unreal bad defense. Β Mike D’Antoni and the Lakers at 28th are like, “See, told ya we D up!” Β Just food for thought heading into tonight’s game (and spot-starting the rest of the way), where I’m not positive but would posit Deng wouldn’t play yet, meaning another big run for the 8% owned Miles. Β 19/8 and 21/6 the past two games, and will need to play well again to keep his share of nice minutes. Β Against that ridiculously bad Sixers D, worth a spot start tonight if you’re a streamboat.
Corey Brewer –Β Speaking of Philly’s terrible D, did you see the Saints over the weekend?! Β Philly burn! Β Haha, I kid Philly fans, but your Sixers gave up 126 to the Wolves last night, helping Brewer stay on his hot run of double-digit scoring in 5 of the last 6 and multi steals in 4 of 5. Β Shooting better lately, hitting threes, if you need the treys and swipes, Brewer is your bartender.
Ricky Rubio –Β Another blowout, another sub-30 minute game. Β Third time that’s happened in the past 6. Β Break up the Timberwolves! Β A 4/3/8/1/0 game while shooting his typical 2-8. Β I was wrong that his shot/scoring would marginally develop this year. Β Certainly no one expected career-lows in both. Β Mas frio.
James Anderson –Β Man, only one block away from an out-of-nowhere rainbow line for my REL team last night! Β Woulda be pre-PAAAAAAAA-sterous! Β It’s been a bumpy road, but he’s actually been more multi-cat than you’d think, in obviously smaller minutes though. Β Be sure he’s owned in your deep leagues. Β Still banking on a Michael Carter-Williams shutdown that should give Mr. Anderson some nice games down the stretch. Β “My name is Neo!”
Pero Antic –Β Got into foul trouble last night, but still had a decent 8/3/0/1/0 line with 2 treys. Β Decent, as in if you need a deep-league C. Β In shallow leagues that’s very indecent. Β Like Miley at a Music Video awards ceremony.
Deron Williams –Β Another day, another twerked ankle. Β Luckily this one isn’t as severe and won’t hurt your team like a wrecking ball. Β But owning Williams has been like taking too much molly. Β His ankles sing to him and are like, “we can’t stop… spraining.” Β I am less of a man for these…
Andray Blatche –Β I’ve been a little flippy-floppy, but right before he left with that four-game absence, I had given up and kept picking other options in commenter decisions. Β With Brook Lopez out, I think Blatche got a little overrated. Β Now, I didn’t see last night’s game, but Blatche racked up 4 fouls in only 12 minutes for an abysmal 3/1/0/1/1 line. Β He really hasn’t had a good game in 3 weeks. Β I think he’s a pass in most 12-teamers. Β Slim – Blatche or your boy Tristan T?
Kevin Garnett –Β 10 rebounds?! Β The world is frozen over! Β No literally, US and Canada are frozen over right now, no connection with Garnett…
Mirza Teletovic –Β When you’re KG and only scoring 4 points, it’s obviously because of the offensive juggernaut coming off the bench behind ya! Β 6-12 (4-9 3PTM) for 16/3/0/0/0. Β ThrAGNOF!
Paul Pierce –Β Rainbow line! Β 9/4/3/2/3 and been great the past two weeks. Β Party like you’re playin’ with Antoine Walker! Β Rap title idea…
RainbOladipo –Β Almost got his namesake! Β 22/8/5/1/1 in 26 fantastic bench minutes shooting 8-15 and 3-4 from deep. Β It’s like seeing Benjamin Button go from old/great producer, to young senile/under-utilized off the bench, but then back to old. Β Given this game was out of hand early, Oldadipo is good to go back in your line-ups.
Maurice Harkless –Β Now this one, you can totally chalk up to the game getting out of control. Β 32 minutes out of nowhere for 22/6/1/2/0. Β Nothing to see here.
Nikola Vucevic –Β Just can’t buy a break. Β Misses time with a twerked ankle then gets a concussion last night. Β Probably misses a couple of games.
DeAndre Jordan –Β Almost trip-dubbed the hard way! Β 14/17/0/0/8. Β Pretty awesome.
Darren Collison –Β Yesterday’s lead was a winner. Β 8-11 (1-2 3PTM 4-4 FT) for 21/3/7/4/0. Β I said he would have no problem averaging 16/3/6/2 and that was pretty spot on!
Nicolas Batum – Going to play with a cast on his middle finger for up to 6 weeks. Β Every time he waves to the refs it’s gonna look like he’s Mr. Bean. Β If he has a bad game the first day he wears this thing, I think he could be a good buy low. Β Don’t expect much of a change to come out of this.
C.J. McCollum –Β Should make his NBA debut off the bench for the Blazers sometime tonight. Β I haven’t seen him play much, but he’s gotten rave reviews and El Burro loves him. Β Worth keeping an eye on.
Next Game: I’ve got a thriller with Golden State heading to Milwaukee. Β Hah. Β Actually pretty pumped though since I own Brandon Knight on a lot of teams. Β I hope everyone had a decent start to their week, and if you live virtually anywhere in the US or Canada, stay warm today!
should i sell hawes? you think he’s going to get traded? who else do you think are likely trade candidates to sell/pursue?
@Patrick: I’m not sure about his trade status, but I would probably hold unless someone wanted to pay full value. A guy like Hawes having a career year in multiple stats is always a “sell high” but I wouldn’t give him away at a discount. Tough to answer who else is out there, I mean Asik might never get traded at this point, we all thought Josh Smith would be traded last year and no one got him, if Thaddeus Young gets moved he takes a big hit, I think he’s fairly likely to get traded, same with Afflalo and Big Baby, but they’ll take value hits, so maybe Harkless/Nicholson as deeper targets, I like Oladipo a ton as a buy low
Hey, JB, you going to Charlotte this weekend? Stub Hub has a “bargain” on tickets for $175.00 each. Should be an excellent game.
Opponent offered to send me Blake Griffin for Steph Curry straight up. Besides position, any difference in the two?
@Sherm: Haha I wish man, but got too much to do here in the triangle. Will be watching in my Rod Smart jersey though! I think there’s a huge differece, much rather Curry by a long shot. Love Griffin too, but Curry is a top 5 guy.
@JB Gilpin: Long shot. Ha. See what you did there.
@Sherm: I aim to please!
i don’t know a lot about trading injured guys but holding westbrook, marc gasol, bledsoe, vucevic and henson i guess i better learn. team looks like a beast on paper with
aldridge
jimmy “i’m getting more playing time” butler
ellis
korver
kawhi
favors
b. wright
rounding out the roster but the injuries are killing me. currently scrubbing the bottom of 12 teams in H2H. any trades or moves you got up your sleeve JB? maybe a trade for one of my living dead for a ball boy? waiver’s pretty thin with only anderson, antic and harkless worth mentioning.
@Sio: Ugh man that’s brutal. Maybe look to trade Westbrook to a top seed team to see if they want to build for the playoffs. Gasol, Bledsoe, Vuc, and Henson all should be back within a week or two so I wouldn’t worry as much on them, just sucks that it’ll be tough to win. Yeah don’t love those waiver options, obviously
@JB Gilpin: what do you think of a westbrook+aldridge for kemba/wes matthews+cousins trade?
@Sio: Ehhh don’t love it, don’t like moving the best player in the deal especially while you’re so banged up
@JB Gilpin: yeah was leaning towards rejecting too. just had to get a 2nd opinion. all the injuries are making me such a wuss.
oh and it’s fun trying to figure out what movie line you’re referring to! i’m a movie nut but some of the more obscure ones just go over my head. keep em coming!
@Sio: haha will do man! In today’s I didn’t have a line just a really off the wall reference haha. Film school is helping with something!
Blatche by a mile over Tristan. 2 better %s, more steals, blocks, assists. Points are a push but that’s in 10 less minutes per game for Blatche. Tristan gets boards but if Blatche gets 33 minutes then that’s at least a push. Even still, I’d take 24 minutes out of Blatche over 32 minutes from Tristan and figure out where to get 3-4 boards somewhere else.
I miss Hardaway already. Take good care of him Team Tough Guy Town.
@Slim: Haha I figured you would say that. I’ll take TT. I think he scores more by a decent margin. I don’t know if Blatche ever gets over 30 minutes consistently. INteresting debate though. I mean they’re not miles apart, but I knew which side you’d be on.
Hardaway gone away, noooooooo!
Hey JB, someone offered their Luol deng for my tyreke evans. So then I asked myself how badly does he want to get rid of deng? Just as badly as me selling my dwight howard? So i asked for nikola pekovic if I threw in howard.
deng/n pekovic for t evans/dwight? good move?
@Kevin: Mannnn, looks really close. Howard is sinking fast and if it’s a FT% league I like the move. Really like how Evans is gelling, you just have to cross your fingers he can stay healthy!
Snell or Jarret Jack?
@JT:
Or McLemore.
This is a keeper league, and I stink to the high heavens at SG.
@JT: How many keepers? I’d probably say Jack right now, but Snell looking at the future. I know that’s uncommon since McLemore was the high draft pick, but meh, not liking him
With Deng out would you drop PJ Tucker or Marvin Williams for Tony Snell? Thanks for the advice, love the site.
@Furious: I don’t get why everyone thinks Marvin is overrated. Over the last 30 days he’s averaging 1.5 3’s, 1.3 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game. He’s ranked 66 9 cat over that span. I doubt snell will be better.
@Corey: ranked 66 in 9 cat
@Furious: Semi agree with above, I don’t really like Marvin but don’t think he’s over or under-rated. Now Tucker on the other hand I think is underrated. That said, I would rank them Marvin, PJ, Snell right now, I like Snell’s upside for minutes but needs to perform a few games first to overtake.
If you found a frustrated Kawhi owner willing to deal him for Deng, would you make that deal?
@Joe: Definitely – in a heartbeat
@JB Gilpin: Really?? In my super shallow league, Kawhi got dropped a week ago and no one is touching that guy on account of him playing on the anti-fantasy Spurs. Is he worth a pickup? The talent is obviously a given, but the minutes ugh
@Lasandro: Yeah minutes are tough, but he’s still a good all-around producer and ranked pretty high in 9-cat metrics due to performing well everywhere.
@JB Gilpin: Im looking to make ripples. Whats your take on me offering my DMC and AD for K Love and Vuc?
@Lasandro: Ehhh, it seems pretty even. Love is close with AD and Vuc close with DMC. A big help will be getting some treys, if that helps you out I like it more.
If I was offering a 2-for-1 to get Hibbert (because of his blocks), who should I be offering from my team to make a fair, but winning offer (for me)?
My team: Lillard, IT2, Burke, Knight, Tyreke, J.Green, Deng, D.Lee, Ibaka, JV, M.Gasol
Thanks! Stay warm. Brr.
@Jose A.: Hmmm, I really don’t like Green, Green and Deng? But that seems like a tad of an overpay. But that’d be what I’d do if it was a dire need. Let’s get it above single digits! Haha
This is a great day in Boards-N-Blocks History. Bye Bye Bowling Bynum.
@Pete Nice: adios muchachos!
I knew that you were a bulls fan, cuz when that D Rose you were like Deng π π π π π
@matt: Haha, when Boozer gets dealt too I won’t hate the Bulls anymore!
@JB Gilpin:
Boozer will get amnestied if he doesn’t get traded
Just traded Eric Gordon for Tristan Thompson. I figure this will be good with the inconsistency of Gordon and the recent Cleveland trade. Thoughts?
My current Roster is:
PG- John Wall, MCW
SG- Paul George, Terrence Ross, Monta Ellis
SF-Rudy Gay, Kahwai Leonard, Gerald Green
PF- Tim Duncan, Tristan Thompson, Kenneth Faried
C- Joakim Noah, JJ Hickson
@Daniel Miller: I woulda tried to get someone better for Gordon. Tristan averages less than 1 assist a game, shoots only 44% from the field as a big man, and under 1 combined blocks and steals per game.
@Corey: @Corey: I have John Wall, Monta and MCW assists aren’t a problem. I feel he fits in better with my team don’t you?
@Daniel Miller: no it’s better to have someone who actually adds some value somewhere. TT gets rebs and avg to low pts and fg%, a black hole in every other category. It’s perplexing that he’s owned by such a high %! In 8 cat, per ESPN’s player rater, his PR avg for the season is 0.14, good for 193rd in the league, lower than that of Chris Kaman and Richard Jefferson. Eric Gordon not v valuable so not a big deal, but ppl seem to make this mistake v regularly.
If his only good stat was 2 treys per game, and he was rubbish elsewhere, no-one would touch him, but an empty dub-dub and he’s nearly 100% owned!
don’t you think his assists will increase with another perimeter shooter to kick it out to in Deng? plus the cavs frontcourt depth is hideous and tt is seeing more mins
@Daniel Miller: possible but even if he doubles from 1 assist per game to 2, he’ll still hold little value with bad %s, no threes, low steals, blocks and low/med pts. He’s a 1-cat wonder.
@Prodders: I’m already last in fg% any way it really doesn’t hurt, I’m 1st in assists, steals and blocks and Gordon’s 1.4 3’s a game doesnt hurt cause I added Gerald Green
@Prodders: who’s on the wire in ur league? If it’s a standard league Tristan isn’t even worth owning due to everything prodders said.
@Corey: @Corey: Glen Davis wouldn’t be bad, Sullinger I’m not a fan of, Nene, Terrence Jones, Illyasova
long term I like tt over all these guys because they’re all injury prone and i’d like to see how the trade effects his play
@Daniel Miller: I’d go T Jones, gets decent rebs plus you get some 3s, blocks etc. Not trying to be a downer, just trying to help. Ilyasova big upside too but anyone’s if that comes together.
@Daniel Miller: yea I would go tjones or Sully over Tristan. To me it’s a no brainier
@Daniel Miller: Man, everyone hating on Tristan Thompson lately! Slim would be proud. Even though it’s a common stat, sometimes people need boards. I think it fits your team OK. The fact in overall rankings that someone is ahead of someone else when you need one particular category makes it irrelevant. It’s like Reggie Evans a couple of years ago, he was worth owning if you desperately needed boards. Now in 10-team, TT and Green are streamable (when Bledsoe is back or if your boards get boosted through other factors)
@JB Gilpin: Agree to an extent but I think when ppl chase one stat like that they see 10 boards a game and see improvement in that cat so they’re happy, but less noticeable is the subtle damage that player does by failing to contribute in all the other cats. Ppl end up chasing their tails using reb specialist one month, falling behind elsewhere, steals specialist the next, etc. Bit early in the season to be blinkered to one cat and let others suffer. The maths that go into the PR avgs that show TT makes no overall contribution are sound.
@Prodders: Remember I gave up Eric Gordon, it’s not like he’s helping my fg% either
@Prodders: Sure, but I disagree with a big thing, we’re more than halfway through the regular fantasy season in H2H and it’s not early anymore. In Roto it hurts more, definitely, in H2H it makes sense. Sorry if league format was mentioned above, that’s a key difference as well.
@JB Gilpin: Daniel has Terence jones and sully on the wire though lol. Please help us convince him that those are far superior options to Tristan
@Corey: Ah, now that I agree with, like both better
Alright guys once the trade goes through ill put my waiver claim in for t jones lol
What do you think of trading away Josh Smith & Jonas valanciunas for rondo & colonel sanders? Feel as if I’m getting upside and trading away frustration
@TR: Haha while I understand that assessment, I think it’s selling too low, I mean who knows what we get outta Rondo
IT2, Dragic, Lowry, Wall, MCW
If all five were starting who would you start?
Hard choice because MCW is playing the cavs, dragic is playing the bulls, lowry playing the pacers
I’d say MCW but what do you think?
@CDS: Mannn tough one, agree probably MCW
Would you deal Favors for Iggy?
What about Favors for Marc Gasol?
My team:
Westbrook, Reggie Jackson, Kendall Marshall, Collison
Kevin Martin, Shumpert
Marion, Terrence Ross
Love, Randolph, Favors, Kris Humphries
Unibrow, Bosh
As you can see, Im a little light on PG/SG/SF, and heavy on bigs…its a 14teamer w Dub Dubs as 10th cat.
@Don Majkowski: Favors for Marc Gasol for sure
Back in the next 1-2 weeks and once he’s playing he’ll be worth much more.
@Don Majkowski: Agree, Favors for Gasol is a slam dunk. Even if Gasol’s knee won’t let him dunk. He should be able to shoot and dish haha. I get wanting Iggy to fit your team but Gasol could easily be a top 20 guy when he’s back.
How do you feel on Bosh vs. Favors? My feeling is they are oughly the same value…Do you have a preference?
I am thinking of offering him his choice of the 2 for Gasol[email protected]JB Gilpin:
@Don Majkowski: Kinda depends on needs, about even. Bosh has some late season benchings to be concerned with, narrowly like Favors more in a vacuum
Are you trading Boozer for Henson?
@Jay_0321: Mannnn, so close. everything in me says yes, I am a UNC fan, hate Duke, hate the Bulls, hate old guys, if you need blocks definitely, coin flip for who you like more otherwise. Henson obviously has more upside too
@JB Gilpin: I went to UNC!
@Jay_0321: Oh sweet! I went to UNCW for film school. Grew up a fan, my much older brother went there and raised me a tar heel. Gotta go Henson then! Hah
Hi JB. Same old same old question, who’s better ROS?
Ross, Wroten, Dunleavy, Snell, Sullinger (own currently), Vasquez?
I’m a little short on assists but looking more for overall value. Would rather gamble on someone with the chance of being mid-round value.
Thanks, keep up the good work especially the obscure film&tv references!
@Prodders: Haha thanks on the references! I’ll keep em comin’ I’m going to go off the wall here, but I’m going to saw Wroten because MCW as I’ve said a few times I think gets shut down. With that in mind, I think Wroten becomes the best player in the critical playoff time. Sullinger would be 2nd, I think he’s fine, but doesn’t have that “big upside” that you’re looking for I don’t think
@JB Gilpin: That was my inkling too. I’m doing it! Sullinger will bore me to death in a best case scenario haha.
@JB Gilpin: You say, I do, it is done! Tony Wroten MVP. This is like the Dice Man, ever read that? What next… ‘JB I’m not sure what to have for dinner, best out of spaghetti, burgers, chicken, pizza?’ Haha
@Prodders: Haha well I just had spaghetti! Was friggin awesome, I think that or pizza on this cold night. Never read the Dice Man, will check it out!
Just dropped Kawhi in a ten team h2h points league for Kendall Marshall, am I crazy? He hasn’t been doing anything lately and I think his highest output so far has been under 30 points.
@TobiasFunkeAnalRapist: Would have tried to drop someone other than Kawhi but i guess for Marshall it’s worth it…at least for now
@Daniel Miller: rest of team is Harden, Jrue, Bledsoe, Drummond, Gordon Heyward, Unibrow, Varejao, Brandon Knight, Hawes, Darren Collison, Rubio and Lance Stephenson. Real guard heavy but has worked out so far with a G and 3 utility spots, and Kawhi has been the least consistent player lately.
@TobiasFunkeAnalRapist: in a points league that’s not a bad move.
@TobiasFunkeAnalRapist: Yeah Kawhi and his multi-cat isn’t as good in a points league. I can’t argue the move either
Deep 16 team league. Would you rather roster Dunleavy or Belinelli for 3 pt. purposes?
@tugboat: I’d probably go Dunleavy for the assumed more consistent minutes
Do you think Butler benefits at all from Deng leaving, maybe an increased scoring/rebounding role? Also, I’m thinking of changing ‘the Beal Deal’ namesake. Beal is killing me right now… I think I’m gonna go with The Tristan Thompson Conundrum. I dropped him already so it doesn’t bother me every time I comment here.
@The Beal Deal: Yeah I do, Butler was huge down the stretch last year when Deng had that failed spinal tap. Probably shoulda mentioned that in today’s piece, I’ll probably mention tomorrow if Butler has a goodun tonight. Haha, with a name like the beal deal, I have to always check in that your fingers aren’t hurt while commenting haha. Love Tristan Thompson conundrum hahahaha. Been quite a fun few days yappin’ about him
@JB Gilpin: Im looking to make ripples. Whats your take on me offering my DMC and AD for K Love and Vuc?
(Didnt mean to post this in the earlier thread, ma bad)
@Lasandro: No prob got ya above!
@JB Gilpin: Well those talks have now died down. Next on the trade block is my Lance and a filler for Vuc. How do you find that?
Lance is amazing and I only just got him, but this increase in Granger’s minutes is a little concerning. As far as fillers are concerned, I was either gonna give him Sully or Reggie (he’d prob bite on Sully due to boards). Would a Lance/Sully for Vuc deal be at the very least even?Having just picked up butler off the wire, I’d hope that’d account for some of the stats I’d lose with lance. If he asks for W Matthews as my filler, I may be overpaying I think.
He has been offered J Green and Tobias for Vuc by someone else and is wanting that to be matched by me at least.
Current lineup:
Jackson
Jrue
BJ
DMC
AD
Lance
Parsons
Dunleavy (flier)
Butler
Sully
Matthews
M Gasol
R Anderson
@Lasandro: I’d like Vuc there. agree Granger is surprisingly concerning with Lance’s decline in production. Market cannibalization they would say. Prefer moving Sully too. Lance and Sully would be awesome. Man, Green and Tobias looks better though, but you can def try
@JB Gilpin: Yep he’s willing to bite on Sully and Lance for vuc. I’ll take it then? Also, once I get Vuc, I’ll have two flier positions. Dunleavy I’ve already decided on switching with Pierce, unless he goes nuts today. Then what should I do with my free spot today? Kawhi, Ginobili, W Chandler, Oladipo, A Bradley, Meeks all out there. Think any of those would be a good fit on my squad, now that Sully and Lance are gone?
@Lasandro: Sweet! Yup I’d do that. Agree on Pierce move. Kawhi and Oladipo I like a ton still
@JB Gilpin: more than te second scoring option in Denver and your main man Wilson?? JB is this you or an imposter? In a super shallow league (only 8 teams) why would you pick guys with lower minutes and similar prod over a starting multi cat? Just need your thoughts on that one. Of course if Afflalo does get traded, then oladipo would be a must own..
@Lasandro: Haha you know I love Wilson! But I think the upside of Kawhi and Oladipo I like more. In shallower I think their upside at bigger production makes them a better hold than Chandler who is what he will be right now. And I do think Afflalo gets moved and Spurs get guys benched giving them more minutes 2nd half
@JB Gilpin: Well that’s food for thought. If Afflalo were to be traded, it surely would be very soon yes? I still cant trust pop and his whacky minutes, but we’ll see after a couple of games.
Ironically, right after Ive traded him, Lance is on the verge of putting up a trip dub today, and Granger’s 31min seem to have cut into PG’s prod, of all people haha. Hope Vuc comes back in beast mode haha
@Lasandro: Ummm maybe, Depends on the market and all that. Don’t blame you on not buying Popp, I don’t either, but soon Duncan/Parker/Manu will all stand to get some benched days off down the stretch and young Kawhi will go to work. Ugh yeah big game for Lance. Eh well, you’ll love havin Vuc
Breaking news from the Milwaukee Bucks Twitter Account: “Coach Drew on the lineup: Itβs been tough having guys in and out but iβll keep shuffling until they show signs of consistency.”
because switching up the lineup everyday is EXACTLY how you become consistent. Jesus! how does he still have a job?!?!
@Shaft: OMG THAT DICK!!! How the shit was Middleton averaging 20 per for a good handful of games in a row inconsistent?? This wank is the reason why I dropped both Kris and my man man Henson. His rotations are like a box of chocolates…
Also, heard a recent interesting stat: Drew is one of only three(!) former players turned coaches in history to have won a conference player of the month and coach of the month. Forrest Chump.
@Shaft: Hahahaha what a joke. @Lasandro: Dickish indeed. This is unreal. Henson could easily be a top 70 or 80 player if he got any consistency. How Drew ever won a coach of the month is beyond me. Carried by Teague and J Smoove!
Got offered Lillard and Parsons for my Irving and Evans.. Thoughts?
@Jake VZ: I aint JB, but I’d bite on that. Evans is great but a bench guy. Once Anderson is back and Smith is back at full health, dont see him grabbing more stats than a starting offensive weapon in HOU who gets damn near 40min every now and then. And Lillard not only gets points and 3s, but assists and stls too. Pull the trigger, IMO
@Jake VZ: Very very close. I love Lillard, but when Irving is on and healthy, is best player in the deal. He’s been banged up again and Deng might take a couple shots and I love Parsons. I’d probably have to take it too
Philly leads the league in pace, so even if they were a top notch defensive unit, it’d be worth streaming against them for volume stats.
But since they aren’t – party time!
@Shoop Da Whoop: Party it up! Wooo CJ Miles call!
I was offered three trades for my Dwight Howard:
Howard for Parsons and Hibbert
Howard and Lillard for Lebron and Wes Matthews
Howard and Eric Gordon for Beal and Hawes
Should I accept any?
@Fantasy Newb: Normal 9 cat? 1 – like it 2 – love it, not way I can turn down getting LeBron there. 3 – Ehhh, takes a lot of injury risk on Beal, close. I would take 2, getting LeBron is too tough for me to turn down
@JB Gilpin: It’s a points league. DOes that change anything?
@Fantasy Newb: Nah not too much, as long as FTM/FTA are included in the points calculation. No FT% then howard is obviously more valuable
Good call on CJ Miles JB!! Too bad my rosters locked before I could stream him.
@MC: Thanks man! Yeah I’ve been boasting around the office while the guy making the Cavs highlights is goin’ nuts haha
@JB Gilpin: good lawd! Is he gonna still get burn with Deng in town tho? He’s been ridonk the past few games
@Lasandro: Not as much run. but knew he needed a big one to stay in the rotation.
My Melo and Rubio for Wall, Beal and Hawes in a points league. Should I accept?
@Fantasy Playaa: Hmmm that one is very very close. If Beal is healthy the rest of the way, I would think it’s a win, but that’s a gamble. Hawes is cooling off too. I think it’s a coin flip and would go with whoever you like rooting for more
Just got offered an interesting trade. His Marc Gasol for my Dirk Nowitzki. I’m in a h2h points league. Should I pull the trigger on this and Gasol’s upside?
I also currently have Noah, A Davis and Sanders so I’m deep @ PF/C.
@Barenrewn: Hmmm that is a good one… I think I would hold Dirk just because he’s been healthier. Well also he’s played really well, but yea
@JB Gilpin: My gut was kinda telling me the same thing. I was thinking about a counter offer of Sanders for Gasol. Not sure if he’ll bite but it’s a little more favorable for me.
@Barenrewn: Yeah that’s definitely worth the offer, I would take Gasol there. Who knows, he might do it
Owner traded lillard before I could get to it.. Dang. Thinking about offering D Will for Marc Gasol? What’re your views on this?
@Jake Van Zuiden: I like the offer, I would rather Gasol than risking Williams’ ankles hold up
aj Gibsons on the waivers should I drop Bass to pick him up now that Deng is gone? or hold Bass?? Thanks for always answering my questions I love this blog man.
@yokev_o: Got ya on the REL post π go get Tej!
Hey man, do we trust this recent outburst by faried as being something of a normality from now on? Because I sure could use another double double guy on my squad. My only droppable guys would maybe be oladipo, Pierce or butler. But, yknow…
@Lasandro: Trust? Ehhh not totally. Pierce v. Faired is close, would def hold the other two. I’d probably wait one more game
@JB Gilpin: that’s a fair call. Also interested to know if you like Meeks over both those options (leaning towards Pierce over Manimal ATM)? I mean, he’s been nothing but consistent and gets boards, points, threes, assists and a nice steal or two every night
