It’s almost a new year guys, and what an interesting season so far. I think Jusuf Nurkic‘s New Year resolution is to start putting up some good stat lines. He has been horrendous through four games, as The Bosnian Beast has averaged 9.8 ppg to go along with an underwhelming 7.5 boards. Yikes, he is not bringing the defense either with only 0.5 steals and 0.8 blocks.
What does all this mean? It means to go out and get this guy. Shoot offers out in all your leagues for Nurk. We all know he is going to be better than this. Maybe you will find an impatient owner who is already fed up with him. Going back to 2018-2019, Jusuf started off slow as well, averaging 13 points and 9.5 rebounds in his first six games. The stats will start piling up here very soon. Maybe you can get yourself a nice little late Christmas bonus with Nurkic for a discount.
Trading a guy like Myles Turner, who is red hot for Nurkic may be a huge win. Players like Darius Garland, Donte DiVincenzo, and Terry Rozier could be potential guys you could use in a trade as well due to their early success. There is a reason Nurkic went at the 2nd/3rd turn in preseason drafts. The guy is a fantasy beast and in the end, we should see him in the top 30 in terms of production in both cat and points leagues.
