Close to wrapping up the positions at PF, there’s a really interesting dynamic looking at my PF ranks.  Sure you can not agree with where I have guys, but I think it’s pretty undeniable there’s a big dropoff from the middle round guys (ending with Zach Randolph, Thaddeus Young and Kenneth Faried) to the deep guys.  As I’ve said before, if drafting on Yahoo the positional scarcity isn’t nearly as big a factor with their position criteria, but if drafting on other fantasy sites, I would be sure to grab one of those top 20ish pure PFs so I’m not stuck with one of the guys in my 30s.

Moving through the positions to the 3, SF looks to be deep just like PGs.  You’ve got your elite studs, you mid-level multi-stat gods (looking at you Chandler Parsons and Kawhi Leonard), JB’s crazy sleepers that no one else seems to like (DeMar DeRozan and Gerald Henderson) then old guys that possibly could produce late (pray for Danny Granger‘s knees!).  It’s a nice mixed bag.

Pretty much the polar opposite of the immense PG depth and value this year seems to be SG.  As you can see in the ranks below, you’re getting all the way into the 7th round before 10 SG-eligible players have been taken off the board.  So if you’re worried about positions while drafting – especially in Yahoo where it seems the majority of players have multi-position eligibility – be sure to keep an eye on your SG position where I’ve had that spot filled last in a lot of drafts so far this offseason.  As mentioned above, all Razzball ranks are broken down by Yahoo position eligibility (view all top 200 here), so there won’t be direct positional crossover to other fantasy sites:

As the way of the goose, or some sort of idiomatic phrase attempting to explain current times, PGs are the most prevalent position early in rankings.  Having the ball in your hands in today’s NBA is good enough to be fantasy worthy.  Just ask Michael-Carter Williams.  With 10 guys PG eligible in my top-20, I’m heavy on the PG like Chunk on Baby Ruth.  Remember, these positions are broken down on Yahoo position eligibility, so there won’t be direct positional crossover to other fantasy sites:
