Last night was interesting to say the least.  With 10 minutes left till line ups locked, the news came down that LeBron James was going to play.  Then the scramble started because almost everyone was on Kyrie Irving after his 55 point performance.  One bit of advice I can give you guys is you need to use Twitter for news and you need to be able to be around till line up lock.  For example, you gotta leave the house for something an hour before line up lock and don’t have access to change your line ups, I recommend not playing that night.  With the way the NBA jerks us around with injury news you gotta be able to make that necessary line up change.  It could be matter of a winning night or a losing night.  Ok enough rambling. Tonight we have a big 11 game slate. That’s because there is some kind of “Big Game” going on Sunday night.  My prediction for the game is 24-13 and Tom Brady wins another Super Bowl.

Hope we all had a good week of DFS NBA.  Last weekend the article did just ok.  If I remember right, last weekend was weird.  The stud players really didn’t hit value and the value guys didn’t come through.  Let’s not dwell on the past.  Sunday night we have a bigger than normal nine game slate.  Think that has to do with what is going on next Sunday.  I also have a little piece of DFS news linked here.  Good luck in your games and let’s win a little coin.

I usually start of the write up with some news or something positive.  Today I am going in a different direction cause I got something to rant about.  I want to know how people in L.A., New York, and Philly go watch these crap ass NBA teams play ?  I just don’t get it.  Don’t tell me that people go to see the players on the other team either cause most teams are sitting there stars when they play these garbage teams.  It’s not even bearable to watch.  Do these people have nothing else better to do or spend there money on?  If so give your tickets to some underprivileged kids that normally couldn’t go to a game.  The money these people spend on tickets and other things at the arena, I am sure there are a bunch of charities that could use that money.  I see Spike Lee at the Knicks game shaking his head and throwing his hands in the air in disbelief.  Really?  Don’t tell me you went to the Knicks game the other night and thought they were going to be competitive. It’s a flipping joke and it’s hurting the NBA.  And if Adam Silver thinks these teams aren’t tanking on purpose he’s a damn moron.  The only way these owners get the picture is if you hit them in the pocket and that’s by not going to the arena.  How does this relate to fantasy you ask?  It hurts season long leagues more than the daily side of it.  In season long you’re just screwed when your stud player sits or barely plays against these weak ass teams.  In DFS you have to be careful using high priced stud players against these teams.  Yeah, you look on paper and the matchup is off the charts but is that player going to be needed for his team to win.  We seen that most teams back ups are good enough to blow these teams out.  So really it’s better if the player or players just sit out and we get to use the back ups in a good spot.  It also creates much needed salary relief for your rosters.  I bet you are all saying “will this guy just get on with it already”.  Ok you win.  We a nice 8 game slate on Saturday night with some very nice match ups.  I also have a couple links down below about some industry news that happen this week.

Looks like we are in full trade mode in the NBA.  Teams trying to get better for the playoff push.  Then we have teams dumping salary and getting much needed draft picks.  How does this relate to the daily game you say?  If NBA teams are in the advanced stage of trade talks the players involved in the deal can not play that night.  So if players that are involved in trade talks do not play them.  Go a different route.  As far as the article goes, I am going to tell you when the article does good and last week wasn’t one of my better efforts.  We had players sitting out for injuries, bereavement issues, and I just flat out missed on some guys.  This is a new week so lets kick some ass and make money playing some DFS hoops.

I hope everyone had a good and safe New Year.  At the start of each New Year some people set new goals for themselves.   In Daily Fantasy Sports we have the same goal year in and year out.  Be profitable at DFS.  The first step towards that goal is being smart with your bankroll.  I recommend playing 50/50’s to get your bankroll up.  Hope this article helps out too.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and made some money on DraftKings.  The Christmas Day article did great and I hope you all enjoyed it.   I was able to score 287 points on Christmas, winning all my 50/50’s and was able to make some GPP money too.  We have a 9 game slate for ya on Saturday.  So how about we get you guys on the road to winning some money over at DraftKings.

First I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.  Hope no one is on the naughty list this year.  Santa has given us four awesome NBA games and a game with the D-League Knicks.  I don’t know what the NBA is thinking having the Knicks on Christmas Day but I guess it’s the NBA way of getting coal in your stocking.   Now there are a lot of studs playing today and you are not going to be able to roster them all.  I like to refer them as high ceiling and high floor players. We already know Kevin Durant, Chris Bosh, and Anderson Varejao are out. So if there is some news check the comment section.  I will pass along any news I see.  Remember that DraftKings is a late swap site.  Good Luck and hope Santa was good to everyone.

We had the first big name get traded this year with Rajon Rondo getting dealt to the Mavs.  It’s a perfect “Shark Tank” deal for Mark Cuban.  It sends a message that the Mavs are going for it this year.  I don’t blame them since Dirk isn’t getting any younger.  I really like this deal for Dallas.  It brings stability to the PG position for Dallas and we seen in the past what Rondo can do with skilled talent surrounding him.  Dallas sure has that.  Plus, Rondo isn’t under contract next year. If it doesn’t work out in Dallas the Mavs aren’t on the hook for any money after this year.  I was surprised they got him so cheap.  Yeah, Dallas sent 3 players in the deal but it’s not like those players were really heavily involved in the rotation for the Mavs.  Also, rumors are the Celtics are already shopping Brandan Wright.  The only thing the Celtics really wanted was the two picks they got in the deal and the $12.9 million trade exception .  The Celtics now have eight first round picks in the next four years.  I’m also curious to see if what Jae Crowder can do if he gets some time.  I really liked his game at Marquette and never felt like he was given a great opportunity in Dallas.  Now the the player to keep your eye is first round pick Marcus Smart with Rodo out of town.  This kid can flat out score but the biggest hurdle is if he can stay healthy.  With all that said, how about we get on with this small 6 game slate:

I was off last week because of the holiday.  Hope you all had a safe and profitable Thanksgiving in DFS.  As you know I try to pass along some news if there is any and advice.  The best advice I can give to any new or veteran player in DFS is bankroll management.  Can’t stress enough how important it is.  50/50’s are the best way to build your bankroll.  It doesn’t matter if you finish 1st in these contests.  All you have to do is beat half the field to double your money.  Yeah GPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool) money is nice but it’s hard to cash in these contests consistently.  What I do for example is if I was going to play $100 for the night, $85 of that is going to be in 50/50’s.  Now if I am just starting out I’m probably playing all my money in 50/50’s to build that bankroll up.  Hope this advice is helpful.  Now let’s get on with some picks for a smallish 6 game slate on Saturday night.

When I see stuff about the DFS industry I always try to pass it along.  This is a nice read if you have the time.   With the holiday coming up I hope everyone has a safe and nice Thanksgiving.

On Saturday night we have a decent 9 game slate:

Point Guards

I don’t think you have to pay the John Wall ($9,600) price tag tonight at PG.  Kyle Lowry ($7,800) is going up against Kyrie Irving ($8,800) who doesn’t really like to play defense.  I think Lowry is a bit under priced and with a O/U around 211,  it’s nice to get a stud PG in a game like this.

Mario Chalmers ($5,800) has been really good the last four games with Dwyane Wade out.  Averaging 35.5 mins, 19 ppg, and 32.56 Draft Kings points over that span.   The match up against Orlando is just OK on paper but for a PG under 6k getting those kind of minutes sign me up.

Tony Wroten ($5,600) started at SG on Friday night.  If he keeps starting then you can’t pass up the price here.

Flip Saunders finally wised up and decided to start Mo Williams ($4,700).  He faces a Kings team that isn’t good at stopping the PG.  Even though his price as risen he is still a nice value.

We are a few weeks into the NBA season and things are really taking shape.  The 76ers might set the record for losses in a season, the Knicks are still the same garbage team after paying Melo, Brian Shaw has made a mess with the Denver Nuggets and the Sacramento Kings set a NBA record for losing consecutive games in which they were up 18+ points after the first quarter.  With that said how about we get on with some picks.

On Saturday night we have a big 10 game slate:

This NBA DFS season has been kind of a roller coaster ride.  The ownership of players is higher than normal.  Seems like everyone is on the same value players night after night.  If your high priced players you spend on don’t tank and reach value then you’re going to do well.  So be smart and don’t take too many risky players.  Also with the NFL, NHL and College Football going on too, be smart with your bankroll.

On Saturday we have a 7 game slate:
