It’s the last week of the regular season, which means roughly 40-50% of fantasy basketball will be over for the owners who didn’t make the playoffs. But don’t worry! You don’t have to wait until fantasy drafts next October to get back to your fantasy winning days. Our friends at DraftKings run huge $ daily fantasy contests, and have got some of their biggest payouts yet. Play today in their $150,000 Bank Shot and for an entry fee of only $200, you could win $50,000! Payouts will go to the top 100 players, and the prize pool would make John Dillinger proud. Or you can always hop in the $15,000 Big Wednesday for an entry fee of only $27 and win $3 G’s! Now let me try and help you win some money with some good value picks for tonight:
Serge Ibaka ($5,600) – While he may put many men’s private collections in peril, Ibaka is coming off a big night against the Spurs (13 Pts 16 Rebs 3 Blks) and I think can replicate and probably improve upon those numbers against the Jazz tonight. After losing in San Antonio, I like the Thunder to play hungry and win big at home. With Paul Millsap likely to sit out and Al Jefferson still in the 30-minute range after missing a few, I like Ibaka to wreak havoc on the boards and in the paint.
Jason Thompson ($5,700) – Very quietly has played his way back into fantasy prominence scoring 18 in 3 of the last 5 and grabbing at least 8 boards in 3 of the last 5. With what should be a gutty matchup underneath between DeMarcus Cousins and Joakim Noah, look for Thompson to be able to exploit some boards and a few shots against the slower Carlos Boozer. I see a 16-11-2 game with little downside.
Dorell Wright ($4,800) – Even with the news that Nick Young thinks he will return tonight vs. the Heat, I like Wright to have plenty of minutes and three-point shots to be worth the money. Wright’s minutes didn’t fluctuate much with/then without Young anyway, and the Sixers will need the offense to try and keep up with the Heat going for their 20th straight. He’s scored double-digits in 6 of the last 7 and also has multi 3-pointers in 8 of the last 9. Add in a handful of other stats and he’s a guy to target.
Corey Brewer ($4,600) – I’ve been loving Brewer as a deep league option, and tonight for a daily league cheap option, I think Brewer is a solid buy. If the Knicks even play 130% better than Monday night they will lose by 20, which will give the Nuggets bench extra time on the floor. He does it all (scores, boards, dishes and steals) and should have a great game against a team that looked in disarray.
Kosta Koufos ($4,500) – Another Nugget I like tonight is the big Kouf, who is coming off a solid 20-10 game his last time out. The Knicks rebounding was atrocious against the Warriors, and while Koufos is obviously no David Lee, he isn’t that far off from Andrew Bogut right now, who also had double-digit rebounds against the Knicks last Monday. Koufos went 10-11 from the floor his last game to get 22 points so I doubt he hits that plateau, but I could easily see a 15-10 game with a few other stats sprinkled in.
J.J. Barea ($4,600) – Hit 5 threes last night and has back-to-back 16-4-4 games going 17-5-5 with 5 3s yesterday. He’s got the shot to score 20 and does enough other things to be a solid buy.
Good luck tonight and win Razzball Nation some money!
