Some moments in basketball go far beyond the game itself. Sam Presti reminded us of that with a beautiful gesture, surprising Russell Westbrook live with the announcement that his jersey will be retired this season.

The emotion on Westbrook’s face said everything. It was clear just how much this recognition meant to him, and how deeply his time in Oklahoma City continues to resonate. Credit to Presti for understanding that great organizations are built not only on wins and championships, but also on loyalty, respect, and genuine appreciation for the people who helped shape their history. A truly classy move.

Regarding last week’s suggestions, Ja’Kobe Walter had an OK if unspectacular week, while Jared McCain disappeared from fantasy relevance and even lost his starting job. Kris Dunn had a juicy 7 steals game, bringing his average to 2.9 for the season, Robert Williams did sit one game for injury management so his appeal drops significantly despite the per game value, while Isaiah Jackson provides something every game with a 3 steals 4 blocks game highlighting his week. On the Sell front, Zach Lavine had one bad and 2 good games and I still believe a sell high is in order while Naz Reid predictably regressed so I hope you took advantage in time.

Keyonte George: After a good start to the season for George, Utah has been blown out in the last 2 games and that has affected his overall value tremendously. He is ranked outside the top250 for the season so make a request to his owner to see if he is frustrated with his recent struggles.

Max Strus: His first game back from the injury was an encouraging one and I think after a ramp up period he might end up starting. He has never been a standard league fantasy player but for a bit deeper leagues there is value so he is worth a speculative add now that he is available almost everywhere (7% owned).

Nolan Traore: The absence of Egor Denim and the rookiness of rookie Mikel Brown Jr has allowed Nolan Traore to start the last 4 games and he has shown real progress form his mediocre rookie season, averaging 2.5 triples, 3.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.8 blocks during those games. It might not last once the Nets get healthy again but I like an add right now to see if he can maintain this level of play (11% owned).

Sell

RJ Barrett: The absence of Kawhi Leonard has provided ample opportunity to RJ Barrett to post career high numbers in scoring, triples and rebounds but his fantasy profile remains a bit empty due to his horrible ft% and lack of defensive stats, so this is a great opportunity to check his trade value and take advantage.
