We had some interesting statements coming from the NBPA, the players association this week, with the most impactful one being the call to remove the 65 game rule that does not allow players that played fewer than those games to be considered for the end of season awards. The conversation sparked with the latest injury to Cade Cunningham, who is in the middle of a career year but there are numerous examples of players just missing the 65 game mark. On the contrary, some kind of threshold should exist, to avoid players with minimal games being considered for those awards.

The other interesting statement was a direct attack to the Milwaukee Bucks for apparently trying to make Giannis sit out games despite being healthy, in a late attempt to join the tank race. I am sure Giannis was informed about this statement before its release, so his relationship with the ownership seems beyond repair and I will be shocked if he remains a Buck after the summer.

Regarding last week’s suggestions, Bobby Portis disappointed with one missed and 2 very mediocre games, while Ayo Dosunmu is balling out in place of Anthony Edwards, with top15 numbers during the last week. Meanwhile, Cody Williams was pretty hit or miss but sat out a game, making him not really worth it after all and finally Taylor Hendricks has been a defensive difference maker and with 11 steals and 8 blocks during the last 7 games he might have turned the tide on some matchups.

Daniss Jenkins: Cade Cunningham will miss the entirety of the remaining regular season so the lead point guard role in Detroit goes to Daniss Jenkins, who started all 3 games sans Cade and can provide your team with a good boost in assists, steals and some triples. The absence of Marcus Sasser further increases his floor so he is a must add in my book (33% owned)

Kennedy Chandler: Before asking who the hell is this guy, let me tell you all the info that you should care about in terms of fantasy. He is a point guard, on a 10 day contract for the Utah Jazz, both Isaiah Collier and Keyonte George are out and the Jazz don’t seem willing to play more than 7-8 players per night. All of the above make him a great streamer for assists and steals, while you should take note of his very bad percentages (10% owned).

Dylan Harper: The rookie is heating up at exactly the right time for fantasy playoffs and the fact that De’Aaron Fox will miss at least one game further improves Harper’s floor. He is a guard option to consider for this week at least (19% owned).

Sell

Myles Turner: It has been a disastrous season for Turner and nothing seems to get him going, so he is a clear drop now that we are in the thick of fantasy playoffs (87% owned).
