Rough game offensively for the Orlando Magic, but a few guys did have some standout performances. Cole Anthony led the way with 22 points, but most of this came off a hot 17-point first half. The Hornets got their own game plan used against them as the Miami Heat outscored them 22 to 10 points on the fast break. Not too many spectacular plays from Charlotte and it was a quiet night for All-Star snub LaMelo Ball who finished the night with 12 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Terry Rozier led the way with 16 points and six rebounds while Miles Bridges added 15. This pushed the Hornets’ losing streak to four straight losses and things are only getting tougher as they have the Toronto Raptors and Chicago Bulls coming to town.

Dominant performance from Deandre Ayton on the glass as the Phoenix Suns locked down on the defensive end to pull out the 95-80 victory over the Washington Wizards. Ayton led all scorers with 20 points along with 16 rebounds. Phoenix’s All-Star backcourt of Devin Booker and Chris Paul combined for 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 14 assists. After falling to the Atlanta Hawks, Phoenix looks to start up another winning streak, but they have a tough task ahead as they head to Chicago to take on DeMar DeRozan and the Bulls.

Only two Wizards scored in double figures. Montrezl Harrell led the way with 15 points and seven rebounds while Aaron Holiday added 11. No Bradley Beal in this game as he is still out with a left wrist sprain. And even though he played, Spencer Dinwiddie was also a no-show as he finished with four points and only took five shots. Washington has been struggling as they have gone 2-8 in their last ten games and the trade deadline is right around the corner. So, the tension doesn’t seem like it’s going to let up anytime soon. Especially with the Miami Heat coming to town next.
