It has not been an easy season for Sacramento fans. Well, let me rephrase. It has not been an easy decade for Sacramento fans. After sucking for a while, accumulating draft picks and proceeding to miss on almost all of them, the franchise fired another coach in Luke Walton. Their play has been subpar to say the list and as you can see the crowd is not to pleased either with the product on the floor.

That’s a video you want to forever erase from the internet or one that you will proudly show to your grandchildren one day, depending on your viewpoint of life. Usually, I’m envious of the guys working at arenas, as they are so close to the players and the action, but that was a case that I obviously preferred being hundreds of kilometers away on my sofa.
Regarding last week’s suggestions, Jalen Brunson had an exceptional run sans Luka Doncic, but his return certainly caps his upside. On the bad news front, Chimezie Metu was useful but the coaching change in Sacramento removed him from the rotation altogether and is a clear drop and Talen Horton-Tucker has provided two consecutive stinkers. I am still holding as he is starting, but I can understand the temptation to move from him in shallow leagues. Kevin Love on the other hand was a more than useful streamer, as suggested, while all of Thaddeus Young, Joe Ingles, and Jordan Clarkson did nothing to change my view of them as “Sell” cases.
Before moving on to this week’s suggestions, and on an unrelated note, I would love to get follow up comments from the discussions we had on previous posts, to let me know what you decided to eventually do and how much you hate me for giving you the wrong feedback on who to grab/drop every single time, causing you to lose your weekly matchup, the fantasy championship, your friends and your self dignity. Brandon Ingram: The Pelicans are starting to get healthy again but the return from injury has not been pretty for Ingram. His rhythm is nonexistent as he is shooting just 41.6% from the field and is also turning the ball over at a career-high rate (3.7 per game). He is the perfect buy-low in my eyes, so I would be floating offers to catch an impatient owner of his and get him to my team at a discount before he inevitably improves.
Kevin Huerter: De’Andre Hunter will miss the next two months with a right wrist injury and Bogdan Bogdanovic has been quite inconsistent so the next man up to shoulder the load is Kevin Huerter. He has scored in double digits in all the games without Hunter and looks well-positioned to provide backcourt stats for the foreseeable future (40% owned). In deeper leagues, take a look also at Danilo Ganillari, who has increased his minutes due to the injury situation (17% owned).
Jarred Vanderbilt: His fantasy game is not suited for all team builds but if you are punting points, triples or assists he can be a valuable contributor for your team. He is continuing to start for the Timberwolves and they have in fact won five of their last seven games with him in the starting lineup, so this looks like a move that could stick. Just temper your expectations regarding his points and triples contributions, as they are well below average (44% owned).

Jordan Poole: A portion of Golden State’s early season success has to be attributed to Poole’s play, who has manned the SG position admirably, averaging 18.4 points, 2.7 triples, and ranking inside the top 70 in per game value. The bad news for his value is the eventual return of Klay Thompson, which is expected to happen around Christmas, and the fact that a decrease in minutes will hurt Poole greatly, as he depends on volume stats to provide fantasy value. His last two games have been electric so trying to get maximum value for him now is a good idea in my opinion.
Steven Adams: Adams started the season hot in his new Memphis environment but then returned to his unspectacular stat-lines that have become the norm in the last couple of years. He is still useful in a punt ft% build but if you are not punting that category and have Adams in your roster, you are doing it wrong. His negative impact there is not worth the rebounds and defensive stats he provides and as much as I love his real-life toughness, there are better pickups from the wire (61% owned).
