[Reposting to the top!  Remember, polls close on Saturday night, so be sure and get your votes in for the 14-15 Razzies!]

The Razzies are back!  You’d think we’d want to distinguish the best across the NBA with our annual awards show, but where is the fun in that?!  Especially after this past month of injuries, DNPs, and tanking buffoonery.  Buffoonery I say!  So the second annual 2014-2015 NBA Razzies are here, a year after our debut awards gala.  Who could forget all our Larry Drew bashing?!  Our decorated awards panel have painstakingly put together the candidates for the prestigious Razzies, and once again, the results are voted on by you Razzball Nation!  Polls will be closed at the end of this Saturday night on April 4th, and we’ll release the winners in our awards ceremony next Tuesday.  We have 8 awards to bestow in the wall of shame, so vote once, vote often, and let your voice be heard Razzball Nation!

Haha I love these polls – how has it been a year already!? Well, can’t be too hard on some of Slim’s calls. I still maintain that Big Al shoulda been on the list if disappointments. Slim’s call of jimmy was a little strange. I forget, were they made before or after preseason. Because watching him in preseason is what made me pick him real early in my super shallow L. And boy oh boy were you way off on the Dragon haha. Can’t blame ya after last year but a ball-hog like Bledsoe back in the fray made me nervous picking him. Either way, those ranks and projections are like crack and I can’t wait to get me a sniff of them in a couple of months. I’ll be back to vote again.. Like I did for that fckwad Larry Screw last year ha!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Lasandro: Thanks man! Indeed, it’s been a whole year! Yeah the thing with Al is that he was hurt for that month. So he was tough to put anywhere, other than the group of injured guys vs. Durant haha.

Yeahhhhhh Dragon was bad. Looking forward to another big year!

  3. Clyde Prompto says:

Whew, these were tough choices. Neither of you had any truly egregious calls so it’s tough to nitpick. Missed games were the major fantasy story of the season for sure. Not much anyone can do about those.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Clyde Prompto: Yeah, I feel like this year was a little harder… I mean, SOOOO many guys got hurt including last year’s MVP, and other than MCW (my pick), I agree I don’t think I did anything too bad haha

Hey JB, I was looking forward to you daily Streamers/Cheap Daily League Picks. Especialy today with a small amount of games.

Can you reccomend a couple of players for tonight?

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@DanThePoorMetFan: If Teague sits today, and with Schroder out then Shelvin Mack might be big time.

CJ Miles looks like a strong add, KCP too for some ThrAGNoF.

We need a big… hmm… Whiteside should play, he might have been dropped. I guess Splitter is the next best. Not thrilled about it though.

      • DanThePoorMetFan says:
        (link)

@Slim: Thanks Slim. ALready picked up Mack the Shack((had to drop Jabari Brown to do it).

I have Whiteside sitting on my IR, so would have to drop Mack or drop one of the following…
        Brandon Bass
        Langston Galloway
        Chase Budinger

Not sure what to do. Its the final of a 16 team H2H 6player keeper league.

        • Slim

          Slim says:
          (link)

@DanThePoorMetFan: Bass, Galloway for 3 and Budinger for 2. I think Galloway is a hold. I like what Budinger has been doing so much better than Bass but it would cost you a game. I’m going with keeping Budinger and dropping Bass. I’d wait till we know for sure Whiteside is good to go.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:

@DanThePoorMetFan: Totally agree with Slim, losing Bass, I hate the Celtics… You might be able to tell in the Razzies haha. Sorry didn’t do a typical post today, back tomorrow!

Made the championship in both of my leagues! Big thanks to the Razzball crew!

My team in my money league has been decimated by injuries through the playoffs, but I’ve made it. I think I’m dropping Knight and considering dropping Millsap for tomorrow. I’m looking to try to win both %’s, 3’s, and any combo of the remaining categories. Ziguana projections tell me points are the least likely.

Plenty of good options on free agency. I have 3 adds left for this week. I was thinking of saving 2 for Sunday to try and pick up help in categories and last minute extra games. FAs are Covington (3) (should be starting all week with JRich injured), Wilson Chandler (3), Ilyasova(3), Zaza(3), Bogut (4), Thad Young (3), Lou Williams (3), Ryan Anderson (3), Bass (3), Bargnani (3), Rubio (2), Aaron Brooks (3), Anyone you particularly like to have for the week out of those?

    My Team:
PG: Dragic, I. Thomas, Clarkson, Knight
    SG: Hayward, Redick, Anetekoumpo,
    SF: Parsons, Barnes
    PF: Millsap, Kanter
    C: Whiteside, Adams

    His Team:
    PG: Lillard, Walker, Parker,
    SG: Klay, Kawhi, Bradley
    SF: Tyreke, Mirotic,
PF: A. Davis, Z Randolph, Ed Davis,
    C: Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard

@Real_Cigs: Nice work man! Def looking at guys that play on the low schedule days. So the Bucks are very meh on Wed/Fri/Sat. And not touching the injured guys (Ryno/Rubio). Def grabbing Covington to go ahead and lock in a guy playing Sat/Sun even with JRich looming. Past that, I don’t think anyone is a must add right now. Good luck man!

      • Real_Cigs says:
        (link)

        @JB Gilpin:

Looking everything over, If I grab Covington, I have 10 on W, Sa, and 9 on Sunday (meaning I only get to pick up 1 extra game on the last day). If I grab Zaza, I get 10 on W, 6 on Fri, 10 on Sa, and 8 on Sunday (meaning I have 2 possible pick ups if I don’t make any more changes this week).

Am I crazy for thinking I should grab Zaza for the better %’s (both), rebounds, with steals, assists, and 12+ points. I could try to grab Covington on Sunday to help boost 3’s if he’s still starting.

        Covington = 3 games
        Zaza = 3 games + 1 stream on Sunday

      @Real_Cigs: lose knight

        (link)

        @Bye Felicia:

I’m with you on dropping Knight. Which player should I grab between these two?

Grab Zaza for 3 games and 1 streaming spot on Sunday (helps in both %’s, rebs, pts, steals, a few assists)

Or Covington for 3 games (helps in 3’s, points, steals, maybe ft%, and some rebounds)

        • JB Gilpin

@Real_Cigs: Yeah I’m losing KNight too. Ugh this is a tough one… Putting it that way, yeah gimme Zaza!

            (link)

            @JB Gilpin:

Thanks! I’m rolling with Zaza and chasing the %’s. Hopefully my players shoot a ton of 3’s.

Is Lin a drop for tomorrow? I only have 3 more add/drops this week. Already used one on Dieng. I have Deron or Mo Williams qued up. If so, who do you like more? I’m leaning Deron because of how close in dimes I am with the other guy, but could easily go Mo. WIll probably wait until tonight to pull the trigger to see if there are any more updates on any of these guys.

JB, you know I’m on the same page about Stevens.. BUT I voted for Byron Scott because he is the cause of my DE-MISE. Sure I was dealing with a mountain of injuries, but it was down to the wire on rebounds and blocks. I would have likely advanced if he didn’t sit Ed Davis for no apparent reason last Sunday….

Anyhow, I managed to score Rudy Gay off of waivers in my 14 team H2H (16 player roster) keeper league. I didn’t drop any of my largest assets because I wanted to be competitive next season. I get 8 keeps, and will have to throw someone back into the draft pool.

Definite Keeps: Westbrook, Ibaka, Vucevic, Antetokounmpo, Rudy Gay
On the Cusp: Dragic, Whiteside, Tyreke, Jrue Holiday (As great as he is, I think we can now call him injury prone)

Thanks for all of the helpful info and advice this season!

    • Bye Felicia says:
      (link)

@Ryan: I’d still keep Jru. If you kept him this long you might as well at this point. I’d lose Reke

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Ryan: Yup, they’re both in close running! I think I voted for Scott as well, I really liked Jordan Hill this year and if he had started and played 32 MPG he woulda been a beast.

Whoa, monster add! Def can call Jrue injury prone, but I still think he’s keepable with 8×14 = 112 keepers if my mental math is right. Geez you have a monster core! I’m with above, Reke is probably my drop, getting a little bit up there in age and has his ankle issues too

Appreciate that man, thanks for dropping by!

      • Ryan says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Yeah there’s a lot of keepers. I literally waited to burn my waiver priority for something like this, but still can’t believe someone dropped a top 30 player. Most teams have been holding players of that caliber because losing a star is like shooting yourself in the foot next season. I guess the team that advanced to finals figured Gay wouldn’t play this week and that its worth it to drop him if he wins the championship this year.

And don’t mention it dude. I love reading your blog because it keeps me informed about all of the great WW plays and diamonds in the rough. I would have likely been the last person aboard the Whiteside train if it weren’t for your blogs, and I’ll def be tuning in to get those deep rankings for my draft next year with the top 112 players off the board.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Ryan: Yeah top 8 being keepers, Gay seems like he shoulda been held.

We’ll be here man, looking forward to seein ya next yeaR!

Did you guys see Gobert swat Wiggins last night then flexx on em? Nasty… I think im taking him in the 2nd rd next year. Dude is nasty!

      (link)

@Bye Felicia: Hah yuuuuuup, me n Slim were talking about Gobert being a second rounder on the Pod a few weeks ago. He’s just soooooo good

      • Bye Felicia says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: i just dont see how I can pass on him in that range and let someone else pair him with a Brow type shotblocker…you’d most likely lose blocks everytime you played that team.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Bye Felicia: Ehhhh I dunno if you would need both… Be an interesting build but you’d have to hit on most of your G

  9. Miles proudfoot says:

You know, it’s a grueling fast-paced league, guys get injuried. What kills me are guys simply not playing. I’m certainly in trouble in a few finals series with not much I could do about it. Injuries I get, choosing not to play multiple games just because is just annoying. I don’t like the NBA making more rules, but this has to be addressed in some way. It’s bad for the game and not right for paying fans. Probably need to either reduce games (won’t happen) or really less back to backs.

Whatever happens, thanks so much for great advice and even better doing so in such a funny entertaining way!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Miles proudfoot: Yeah I feel like this year has been particularly bad with resting and DNPs. Used to be only the Spurs haha. Agree it’s bad for the game, but at the same time the good teams are usually playing their guys (Hawks and Warriors notwithstanding).

Appreciate that man! Good luck this week!

Is it bad that I voted for Batum twice? Man that guy stunk this year, I was never a huge fan of his but found myself drafting him in the 3rd round this year seeking his multi-cat value. Anyway, I have enjoyed owning the Beard and Draymond all season. Finished tied for the best record, 1st rd bye, and now my chance at back to back Championships is lost. Bosh being my first casualty, but then Monroe, Favors, Draymond, and Teague…I did not stand a chance against the likes of Drummond and Curry last week. On a positive note I will be able to use my keeper pick in the 11th round next year on #OccupyDraymond 🙂

Thanks I had fun reading this year

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Big Country: Hahaha not at all! No cap on votes, I’m sure a few will have some angry owner multi-votes haha.

I woulda grabbed him late 3rd too, I wasn’t huge on him, but man he fell apart. Yikes, yeah DNP derailed a ton of top teams… Hopefully we have some better health next year.

Awesome keeper having #Occupy! Def our rank of the year 🙂

Thanks man, appreciate ya stopping by!
