    Hi JB
I need 3PM and want to improve FT%

Trade my LB James for P Gorege? suggest to go or hold? Thanks

    • Wilson says:
      (link)

      Typo, should be P George

      • Slim

        Slim says:
        (link)

@Wilson: Eh, I don’t hate it as long as you’re ok with the FG% and TOs without the assists. In a vacuum I’m probably holding LeBron, but I get it.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Wilson: @Slim: Yeah in a vacuum I’d hold Bron too, but I’m good with it for your needs

  2. dom says:
    (link)

In my deep 12er, thinking about dropping Mo Williams (2 remaining games this week after tonight) for someone with 3 games left this week to help with my current matchup. Probably a big. Basketballmonster really likes Alexis Ajinca. Steven Adams is another option. Henson doesn’t have quite the rebounding upside as the other two I feel like, this is a 10 cat league with OREB included. Any thoughts? Thanks

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@dom: I’ll go with Adams. He’s the only one with 20 min guaranteed, and the upside for 30. And like you said, he’s the better rebounder.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@dom: @Slim: Yeah with OREB a stat, I’ll agree and go with Adams

  3. Chris says:
    (link)

    Hey JB needs some help!

    First is my roster:
    G-Bledsoe-Conley-Harden-Miles-Fournier (g/f)-Iguodala (g.f)-Collison (start 4)
    F-Favors-Leonard-Anderson-Booker-(start 4)
    C-Gobert, Lopez (start 1)
    1 F/C starter position)
    I was offered this trade:

    I get: Otto Porter-Henson-Dragic-Burke
    I give: Bledsoe-Ryan Anderson

It’s 9 cat roto. I’m hurting for rebounds and blocks. However, once Gobert comes back he should fix that. I’m not behind a ton. Let me know what you think.

    Thank!

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@Chris: Nope. That is not enough, like not even close to enough. Drop Henson and Burke and get a top 75ish big and I’ll think about it.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Chris: @Slim: Yeah no way Bledsoe should go for that low a price. I like Slim’s suggestion. If say, Greg monroe was thrown in there, it’s worth considering, but still unsure. A guy like KAT makes it work

  4. I'm Harden for your love says:
    (link)

I traded Bledsoe for Millsap…. Fare value right? Plus Bledsoe’s 3pts and PTS weren’t helping me all that much.

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@I’m Harden for your love: Yep, that’s fine. They both are in that 11-15 range for me. If it fits a need then I’m all for it.

  5. neogonzo mourning says:
    (link)

i finally dropped Terrence Jones and now I hope his eye just falls right out

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@neogonzo mourning: Hah, what if he played with a patch on?! Pirate Jones!

  6. Mic C says:
    (link)

In a 12 team keeper, 9-cat, where do you slot drummond vs ABC. I have drummond and watch him do these crossovers and finish nicely sometimes and think wow sky is the limit but it’s so hard to punt FT every week. Where would you rank these guys and I’m thinking about offering drummond for ABC+gortat Cuz I know the owner likes Drummond and would love to do a 2for1. Gives me help this year and a good keeper in ABC. My other 2 keepers would be Brow and Hayward.
    Thanks for your help

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Mic C: Whewwwww, yeah ABC is still so young. They’re pretty close. Close enough to where yeah, getting Gortat to help the lost boards makes it worth it for me. Oh you have Brow already?! Then yeah, I actually don’t mind ABC straight up even

      • Mic C says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: straight up even! Wow they’re that close for you huh. It’s tough figuring out who to target since drums ranking in yahoo is all jacked up.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Mic C: Yeah for sure, if you’re not dedicated to a punt FT though, I think he’s not quite as upside-y as ABC

          • Mic C says:
            (link)

@JB Gilpin: we’ll trade accepted, my drunm + Marcus mo for ABC + gortat.
I think I make up the rebs I’m losing in drunm and not giving up anything else. I would’ve had to drop Marcus anyway.

            • JB Gilpin

              JB Gilpin says:
              (link)

@Mic C: Nice, love the move!

  7. Kees says:
    (link)

Would you rather own Bazemore or Otto Porter this week (8-cat)

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Kees: Prob still porter, but close

  8. v00dr00 says:
    (link)

Barnes is staring at me on my wire asking me to adopt him. Do I drop Lawson who I just scooped up in hopes he would find trade suitors or do I let Tristan go(hate his game, but he gets those OREBS) Also have Dieng and Leuer who are fringy guys on my team. HALP

    • v00dr00 says:
      (link)

@v00dr00: And T Jones(WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?) who I got in what was once a fantasy steal when I dealt Marcus Morris to a frustrated owner. Guess who feels like an idiot now? Still can’t bring myself to straight drop his ass though.

    • Good STUFF says:
      (link)

@v00dr00: Definitely drop Lawson… he’s doing absolutely nothing.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Good STUFF: @v00dr00: Yup Lawson can go for Barnes 100%. Def looks like Tristan is going for some streaming for me too, tough to own fringy/upside guys in multiples

          • v00dr00 says:
            (link)

            @JB Gilpin: Appreciate it fellas!

            • JB Gilpin

              JB Gilpin says:
              (link)

              @v00dr00: Any time!

  9. Jeff says:
    (link)

searching for a spot to stream…who do you throw out of chandler/ Tjones?

    • Matt says:
      (link)

      @Jeff: Def Chandler. He’s garbage.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Jeff: @Matt: Yeah Chandler for me too, but I do think he is usable at some point this yr once healthy

  10. sebapargue says:
    (link)

drop terrence jones or danny green for felton??? its getting pretty annoying

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@sebapargue: Yikes having both is tough, sure D Green can go for Felton while hot, then move on

  11. Wutang says:
    (link)

Love listening to this guys! whenever I have time its such an informative listen, even if you guys have the most insane humor! hahaha

korver was just dropped in my 10 teamer..
10 team default scoring (no max moves a week!)
PG: Bledsoe, IT3, Payton, J. Clarkson
    SG: Harden
    SF: PG13, Gallinari
    PF: #Occupy, Favors, T. Jones
    C: Hibbert, Sullinger , Gortat

would you drop hibbert/tjones for korver? dont really need more 3’s, but better players are better?

and while waiting on the korver wire, would you just drop both hibbert and tjones to stream 2 players nightly?

    Thanks so much guys!

    • Wutang says:
      (link)

@Wutang: oh and by the way for the 30 point challenge, give me Kevin Love in his Olynyk revenge game!

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Wutang: Haha nice 30pt challenge call!

Hahaha thanks for listening! I don’t think we’d have the drive to do it if we didn’t think we were different in some way, so we appreciate that 🙂

Yeah ‘d prob grab Korver for Tjones and immediately look at a sell high, maybe IT2/3. Def would be streaming the other spot as well (Hibbert). Any time!

  12. jcg says:
    (link)

    Deep 12 team h2h 9 cat

For best upside ROS would you rather roster M Barnes or Olynyk?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@jcg: upside ROS I gotta take Olynyk, but I can’t imagine in most redraft leagues with streaming owning Olynyk over Barnes for right now

  13. I am the Walrus says:
    (link)

    Drop Fournier for Marvin Williams?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@I am the Walrus: Nah Williams is up and down too, I think I’d hold Fournier there for the upside

  14. sajond says:
    (link)

Would greatly appreciate your opinion on a trade…

My Tobias Harris for Nerlens Noel (Hope he gets traded?)

12 Team 14 Player H2H 9Cat (DD instead of TO)

    Alex Len
    Patrick Beverley
    Julius Randle
    Elfrid
    Payton
    Carter
    Williams
    Michael
    Gorgui Dieng
    Jae Crowder
    Deron Williams
    Marcin Gortat
    Tobias Harris
    Nicolas Batum
    Rudy Gobert
    Gordon Hayward
    Stephen Curry

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@sajond: Man, that format helps Noel soooooooooo much. That said, I think I’d want a little more with noel struggling so much

  15. Kevin says:
    (link)

30 Point Challenge pick – Wiggins because he’s off Slim’s REL team

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@Kevin: Haha you sir are a god amongst men!

  16. miles proudfoot says:
    (link)

How do you feel about a TJones drop for a Nurk stash?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@miles proudfoot: Mehhhh, the minutes limit for Nurk for a while have me thinking I wouldn’t do it until he’s back on the floor

  17. d-dawg says:
    (link)

Hi guy, great stuff as always.

I got to commend you this year on the way your able to not feel pressured by the hype on some guys and to not rank them high and therefore we avoided them on draft days

eg aminu plumlee and are a few others

although there were some missed just as gordon stanely johnson and myles turner

but i think you definitley were in the positive when it came to the sleepers this year. good work

Melo owner has come asking what he could get back for him I was thinking something along the lines of

my bosh and deron for melo and conley

Bosh and deron both performing better so far so am doing it mainly for injury risk. But i feel boht melo and conley have just as high injury risk as deron?

is this worth doing or should i be asking for more, bosh looks like hell keep beasting this year

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@d-dawg: Thanks man! Yup that’s the fun of the game, if everyone was right, fantasy wouldnt be fun at all. it’s about trying to find a few stats, gut instincts, trying to watch as much as you can, and most importantly – try to bring your thoughts in a different way, that’s out big thing.

Yup I love that deal for you! I still don’t think Melo and Bosh are far off, if off at all, and even though I’m not a big COnley guy, still like him over Deron.

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

      @d-dawg: Mirotic!

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@d-dawg: @Slim: Oh yeah! Our fears of his bad D became true almost right away!

        • d-dawg says:
          (link)

          @JB Gilpin:

yer stuff like this as you were saying in the podcast would be really cool to look at. Compared your notes and expectations and you can be as biased as you want with your review of your own were *cough cough bruski 150 review* (but serisouly that guy made it seem every pick he made was perfect and it was only due other reasons why people were projected differently)

anyway the guy i am trading with has come back and now want my marc gasol and elfird payton for melo and conley

i really dont think that the trade is worth it with elfird going to only get better to go on through the year.. thoughts?

  18. Guy Fieri's Krispy Pork Zingers says:
    (link)

But there’s nothing like the last line in ‘The World Is Not Enough’:

“I thought Christmas only came once a year” (as he’s boning Denise Richards’ character, Christmas Jones)

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Guy Fieri’s Krispy Pork Zingers: Hahahaha totally forgot about that one. I loved Goledneye, Tomo Never Dies was OK, then it got awful for poor Pierce…

    • Lasandro says:
      (link)

@JB Gilpin @Guy Fieri’s Krispy Pork Zingers: And how about Denise Richards being cast as a geologist, was it? And a leading one in the field, at that. Because we all know that top-notch scholarly types have hard bodies and dress like Tomb Raider. But yes, Goldeneye was an absolute experience when it came out. And Famke Jansen was damn near unrecognisable as the super hot Russian villainess, Onatop (compared to her in the XMen movies). Ha, Onatop… Pussy Galore… Octopussy…. Fleming was such a perve!

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Guy Fieri’s Krispy Pork Zingers: @Lasandro: Hahaha for sure. Denis Richards was bad, but then the ice one after that was pretty awful too, especially that like parasailing part or whatever, off the wave in the ocean

  19. I'm Harden for your love says:
    (link)

Just dropped Jones like the morning after eating Indian. It burned sooo much but I felt like a new man right after! Too personal? Anywho I now have a streaming spot which feels greats cause its in a 10 team league and there’s still above average talent on the wire and just picked up Matt Barnes so see if can stick in the starting line up then someone had to drop BEAL!!! Is Beal just another headache or is he worth picking up?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@I’m Harden for your love: Haha nice! Bet it feels great! Yeah in a 10er, streaming is paramount. Ohhhhh man. Yeah I think Beal needs to be owned, he came back from this before and performed well, but it is scary it’s the 3rd or 4th time

      • I'm Harden for your love says:
        (link)

        @JB Gilpin:

So you’d be willing to drop Barnes my only streaming spot to pick up Beal and sit on him for a few weeks?

  20. The Gintern says:
    (link)

Been loving the podcast guys, always look forward to listening at work! Like the Love revenge game pick above, but gimme the pizza guy for 30 tonight.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@The Gintern: Thanks for listening man! That’s a good one! Cavs G play is still pretty meh

  21. Mari says:
    (link)

    Hey JB and Slim,

May you please rank: pbev, m.Barnes and Bazemore. I have P.Bev, but like the stats the latter 2 are putting up.. but will they keep it going?

Also, I have to ask, why do you guye like Wiggins? I don’t get the appeal thus far.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Mari: Yikes, that’s tough since all kinda do different things. Barnes #1 for me right now, probably owning Pbev 2nd for me personally. Pbev could be #1 if AST need. All about upside for Wiggins, he shows in stretches the D stats and is taking more 3s, it’s still not coming fully together yet. Still a long season and not like he’s been unusable

      • Mari says:
        (link)

        @JB Gilpin:

I’m looking for a, more or less, well-rounded player that shoots treys. So, I guess you’re saying, of the three, PBev for the ROS? And Barnes for the current hot hand?

I’m not sure about Wiggins. Statistically, he’s been a Afflalo with more points.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Mari: Yup, 100% there. Pbev should easily have that role ROS, never know if Grizz change things up again. 1.3 stl+blk is still a lot different than 0.3 combined (afflalo). And I expect it to keep rising

  22. jdubs says:
    (link)

Ayyy JB and Slim! keep up the great pods… I grew up with the pierce brosnan Bond movies, never really realized how ridiculous they were until nowadays haha!

Anyways, just wanted to drop in my pick for the 30 point challenge: Danilo Gallinari! he’s overdue for a breakout

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@jdubs: Haha thanks for listening man! Yeah that line caught me by surprise too since I didn’t get it in middle school. He’ll need to get hot at this point, but rooster could!

  23. Patty Mills is my homeboy says:
    (link)

Give me Giannis for 30 against that terrible lakers D!

  24. Andrew Ringer says:
    (link)

Could you please rank thabo, crabbe, and Gary Harris. Also, I’ll take Kevin love for 30 tonight.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Andrew Ringer: Prob Harris, Crabbe Thabo. 20 was pretty solid, closest of all eligible in that game!

  25. Kozmonaut says:
    (link)

Hey JB & Slim, got offered George Hill for Clarkson. Clarkson seems more upsidey with potential Kobe injury (and more fun to watch “individually, not the team”), yet Hill has way better playoffs.

    Standard Yahoo 12 Team H2H
PGs: Wall, RJax, Elf on the Shelf, Monta, Clarkson
    SG: Wiggins, KCP, Joe Johnson
    PF: Aaron Gordon, TJones
C: Gobert, Favors, Amir Johnson, Ed Davis

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Kozmonaut: Yeah it’s close right now, I think Hill is the solid, safer guy

  26. Niko Cola Chaz says:
    (link)

    It2 30 point challenge

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Niko Cola Chaz: Yikes 3-15 from the field, I thought that would be a lot closer!

  27. Jerry says:
    (link)

Hey, JB! Wes Matthews or Zach LaVine? Thanks!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Jerry: Hey man! I’ll stick with Matthews. Although LaVine looks great tonight and is playing some SG. Very close to must own

  28. Rob says:
    (link)

Greg Monroe for the 30 point challenge

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

      @Rob: Moose gettin loose!

  29. Lasandro says:
    (link)

Mitchell has hinted that he’ll be changing the starting lienup soon. If Dieng gets inserted, does he become more of a must-own than Noah in my shallow roto, or is it needs based (in my case, brds, blks & asts)? And would trading my Barton for a starting Lavine be a good move or fairly neutral?

Was surprised/disappointed that y’all mentioned that Barton is the only consistent player on the Nugs but didn’t elaborate on his awesomeness and rank him in comparison to other hot pickups like M Barnes, Burkes, Felton and Mayo. Even Clarkson is available in my L but don’t think I wanna drop Barton for him. Aside from my Jimmy-addiction, I’m sailing half-mast on the Barton Seas, these days. And those sweet outta-position brds and dimes mm..

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Lasandro: I dunno about making any moves just yet, if Dieng played consistently 30+ mins, yeah he’s over Noah. Hah we can’t rank every player vs 4 others every show! He’s not really a hot pickup though… He’s over those guys, maybe not Alec Burks.

  30. Jay says:
    (link)

This may sound crazy… but is Wiggins droppable?

Not necessarily dying for points, and he really provides next to no value other than points (and doesn’t even hit threes).

Can he be dropped for someone like Omri Casspi?

    • Lasandro says:
      (link)

@Jay: For Casspi? Oh no. If the league was super shallow and guys like Barton, Clarkson were on the wire, maaaaybe. But seriously doubt Wiggy is close to droppable. You could try and ship him off to someone who perhaps sees the upside in him? I totally get the frustration though. Hang in there

      • Jay says:
        (link)

@Lasandro: 10 man league, but I’m in desperate need of a shot blocker next to KAT and Millsap since Nerlens has all of a sudden forgotten how to play defense. Dropped Jerami Grant for Casspi after that game he had tonight though. Here’s my squad (standard 10 cat H2H with OREB):

        Damian Lillard
        James Harden
        Tyreke Evans
        Paul Millsap
        Karl-Anthony Towns
        Mike Conley
        Thaddeus Young
        Jarrett Jack
        Zaza Pachulia
        Nerlens Noel
        Andrew Wiggins
        Omri Casspi
        Raymond Felton

        • Jay says:
          (link)

@Jay: Al Jeff is also an option since he’s on the wire, but other than him, Jerami, and the other streamers for blocks (Amir Johnson, Steven Adams, Capela, etc.), there’s really no one else. Is Al Jeff worth picking up?

          • Good STUFF says:
            (link)

@Jay: grant was a great blocks guy.

        • Mari says:
          (link)

@Jay: I speak of Wiggins, of course

      • Mari says:
        (link)

@Lasandro: I’m not sure that this upside is going to materialize this season. I mean, he scored 23 points, and that’s great, but he contributed virtually nothing else. So when we speak of upside, he’s kind of becoming like Meyers Leonard to me (sorry JB!).

        • Lasandro says:
          (link)

@Mari: Yeah, it’s hard to argue. The whole upside spiel from @JB Gilpin and @Slim I believe is based on his post-ASB run last season. Thing is, I wasn’t buying that he’d be even able to replicate those numbers, let alone surpass them, this season with a ever-improving KAT and a now-ready Lavine. KMart will eat into that usage any given night but he may be gone come trade deadline. Either way, it’s hard to see the guy chip in those nice blks and stls numbers. He really should be rebounding a lot better, too. Basically what Barton is doing in DEN these days (brds, D stats) is what I think many hoped for from Wiggy, in addition to his 20ppg with high volume FTMs and solid %s. On top of it all, he doesn’t come across as a “me first” kinda guy, whereas KAT and even Lavine do. Having the tools (which he does) is one thing – that killer instinct is a necessity. He’s fairly aggressive on offense but that’s it. I’m not a hater but he ain’t a top30 guy for me..

@Jay: If blks are your need, I def woulda kept Grant over Casspi. Johnson is nice IF guaranteed mins, which he’s not. If someone like Bogut is out there, I’d grab him as he’s a per minute beast with D stats and even brds. Al jef is def the most talented guy out there but he won’t be playing for another two weeks and I just don’t know how the surging Hornets are gonna insert him back into the lineup and slow their fast pace back down. Dare I say, he may get the recent ZBo treatment. Check if PBev and M Barnes (doubt it) are also available for those out of position D stats. But Grant is still my pick as a wing who can get major blocks. He got 5 or something his last game, chamon!

@Lasandro: Definitely feel you on Grant, but Omri’s production lately (points, threes (which I also need), boards, and even a few assists) along with his insane per game minute totals was just too much to pass up.

Bogut and PBev are still out there, but with this league geared towards boards (and me having a bunch of guards as it is), PBev is essentially out of the equation except for streaming purposes. Bogut would work, but this timeshare that he’s on with Festus is annoying, and there are times where Festus clearly looks like the better player between the two. Also doesn’t help that Bogut only plays 20ish minutes per game and that GSW is a team that thrives with a small ball lineup.

May consider Grant in place of Omri, but I’m playing one of the weaker squads in blocks this week and am only up by one 3PM. Also don’t know if Grant is worth holding onto versus just being a streamer.

@Mari: That’s what I’m saying… and it’s becoming a recurring theme. Kinda hard to drop him for essentially nothing since he was my 5th pick, but something’s gotta be done. Anyone I should target in a trade who’s a little more rounded (preferably someone who’ll chip in 3’s and/or blocks with solid percentages)?

          • Lasandro says:
            (link)

@Jay: Rudy Gay is a solid, yet uninspiring, option.

            • Jay says:
              (link)

@Lasandro: He’s solid… just highly doubt that particular owner will take Wiggins for him. I know I sure wouldn’t.

            • Lasandro says:
              (link)

@Jay: Oh you’d be surprised man! I know the owner of Wiggins in MY shallow league wouldn’t take Gay for Wiggins, on account os said upside. So you should def float something the next time Wiggy has himself a nice outing.

                @Lasandro: @Jay: @Good STUFF: @Mari: @Jay: @Lasandro: Absoluteeeeeeeeellllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy not! I mean you have Felton on there, he’s obviously cuttable for a blocker.

Ok camon, Meyers Leonard doesn’t even score 10 pts. Double the blocks, same 3s, almost triple the pts. Yeah holding Grant woulda made sense.

Yeah I would probably take Gay for wiggins. What I would do, it looks at teams in the bottom 2-3 teams of scoring. Also punt FT teams would prob like him, even though his Ft% isn’t stellar, but they’re likely low in scoring too.

                • Mari says:
                  (link)

@JB Gilpin: Wiggins is comparable to Meyer in the sense that they are both players hyped up for their hypothetical upside. But I don’t see it. The difference is that Meyers is an absolute hype job and Wiggins will become better as his career progresses–just not now, from what I see.

JB, I’d like to apologize for what I’m about to do, I’m about to ship Wiggins to another team for Dragic. So basically I’ll be using him as a buylow offer. Goran’s numbers IF he does turn the corner I think would be better than what Wiggins can give his owners this season. The steals and treys just aren’t there for Wiggins, boards are low and assists are almost nonexistent. I’m hopping off our Wiggins bandwagon for now, but I’ll definitely comeback next season. Hah. Anyway, if you have anybody else in my mind that I could target for Awiggins, like Teague or Poison G. Thanks bud

    • JB Gilpin

@Dante Green: Hah, well no apologies needed but I still wouldnt do it. I dunno if Goose does it, maybe Teague could work though

What about Favors for porzingis and thaddeus young ? only doubt is porzingis and his ability to maintain the numbers he has right now…

@Nicolas: and would you trade wiggins for reggie?

        or even for porzingis?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:

@Dante Green: @Nicolas: Adding Dante for comment above, yeah I think I would have to take Reggie there. I’d take Goose probably too if big man need. I dunno about the Favors one, seems risky given porzy is so young and could fade

Start 2 tonight: Porter, Bazemore, or Fournier?
Leaning towards benching Porter since they’re playing the Spurs… Or Bazmore since Philly game might be a blow out… Or Fournier cuz he has just been awful

Btw why do you prefer burks over Bazemore? Seems like Bazemore provides more stocks

    Thanks!!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Good STUFF: Haha, I’m leaving out a cold Fournier right now. Well burks I think will always have his role. Bazemore I worry could come off the bench again. I get the upside, but I think burks is safer.

      • Good STUFF says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: If only I didn’t use my #1 waiver on Fournier, and prioritized Burks instead….. I guess I have to hold

Do you think I can get Burks by sending just Bazemore? Or I’ll need to add in Fournier for Korver

I’m maybe considering sending Oladipo and Bazemore for his Burks and Okafor. Considering this is a keeper league and I could use another big.

          JB Gilpin says:

@Good STUFF: Well just a week or two ago, Fournier def was the guy. Hmmm, I might get Korver for that spot, a ton of options though. And/or stream. Meeehhhhh, I’m still not a huge Okafor fan, I think Oladipo in a keeper could bring more

I keep hearing about whitesides departure in 8 weeks. Is there someone we should be keeping an eye on or speculative add in a weekly league. (assuming not markieff or Ryan Anderson, but FA’s)

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@James: I’m not sure what the Heat will do. They can’t afford to resign Whiteside but he gives them the best chance to win now which is what all the Heat vets want. If they can lose Whiteside and get a Howard or god forbid Cousins then I imagine they’ll do it, even if they can’t keep the players. Not sure how the contracts will work in a trade though since Whiteside is currently extremely low. I don’t know what they’re gonna do. I vote for keep Whiteside and see how deep of a playoff run they can manage.

      Top of my head…
      Shabazz if KMart is delt.
Larkin if the Nets blow it up.
Oubre if Porter and Beal miss significant time.
Stanley Johnson if anyone in DET goes down.
Anthony Brown is a possibility late in the year but only in the deepest of leagues.

It’s tough with trades though because you don’t know who they’ll be getting back. Like Whiteside only gets traded for a direct replacement at center so there’s no backup that would get extra run.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@James: @Slim: God forbid Cousins? You don’t want him? But I agree, I think you try to win with Whiteside now, maybe a deep run will make him want to stay.

Ummm, maybe Gallo gets moved if Barton is somehow unowned, but Barton is fine anyway.

          @JB Gilpin:
Thanks jb. thanks Slim for that breakdown and possible candidates to keep an eye on. Much appreciated!

        • Slim

          Slim says:
          (link)

@JB Gilpin: How they do doesn’t matter. They simple can’t afford to pay him. I guess it kind of comes down to Whiteside or Wade but there is zero chance they pick Whiteside over Mr.Franchise. Whiteside would have to turn down $16+ mil a year and accept a deal that pays in the $6-$8 range tops to stay in Miami. It’s just not going to happen.

        • Slim

          Slim says:
          (link)

@JB Gilpin: Oh and I meant god forbid the Kings actually trade him, as in they would be stupid, but since it’s the Kings I guess it’s possible.

@James: @Slim: Ah gotcha, I thought you meant that as a Heat fan. Cousins straight up for Whiteside would be nutssssssss. I didn’t realize the Heat were that strapped.

I am just wondering can you give me a quick analysis and possible trades I could try to improve my team.

    8 team, H2H, 8-cat.

    This is my team:
    Kemba Walker
    Gordon Hayward
    Otto Porter
    Anthony Davis
    Rudy Gobert
    Jeff Teague
    Danilo Gallinari
    Al Horford
    Derrick Rose
    Marcin Gortat
    Jimmy Butler
    Victor Oladipo
    George Hill

Also I am thinking about buying low on Porzingis. Would Walker and Gallo for his Porzingis be fair?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Kees: Looks good, love your bigs. I dunno if Porzingis is a buy low after last night, and I dunno if you need him that bad. I think Kemba/Gallo is an overpay. I don’t see many holes, I’m sure you’re doing well, maybe FG% at times is bad? BUt I don’t see much
