Still trying to unload kobe. Olidipo owner wanted no part of em. Now trying to rob my lovely Beard away from his owner.
Just imagining having Durant, Westbrook, and My bearded wonder back together again.. Ah memories 🙂

@dan-o1: when is it and how many spots? I don’t play big tournaments. It has to be 100 or less for me to play

    Hey JB,

Looks like N.Cole (whom I added following your advice) just “dislocated his left middle finger”. I’ve got a chance to replace him tonight– would you add any of these guys for him?

    PJ Tucker
    Steve Blake
    Barea
    Both Shabazzes (Napier & Muhammad)
    Mbah a Moute
    Scola

All will be very short-term adds, and as always appreciate your help!

@Clay: Ummmm, yeah Cole is low end anyway and might miss a game if its bruised up real bad, I’d grab Tucker or Blake if you needed some swing man stats or PG stats

Being a massive film nerd myself, I LOVED your chat with Bobby. I’m currently acting in my friend Magare Banda’s short film “Exile”, shot here in Saigon. Once produced (hopefully by end of the year), I’ll find a way to send it to y’all.

Big PTA fan too – Assassination of JJ was severely underrated when released. Oh and here’s a fun fact about Bride on a River Kwai: filmed in my country of origin, Sri Lanka! As was Temple of Doom, even though both these movies are “set” in Burma and India, respectively.

BTW, I liked Killing Them Softly but went into it with huge expectations, so it fell short for me. Technically, it was damn solid though. Did you enjoy Animal Kingdom? A much stronger version of this type of genre IMO, starring some of Australia’s greatest actors, including my all-time #1 Guy Pearce.

Did y’all end up watching Interstellar? Nolan is my second fav director behind Wes Anderson and I had to go watch it again. On second viewing, I enjoyed it even more than I did the first time. Along with Fury and Gone Girl, it’s been a pretty strong week for me as far as movie watching goes. Awesome that you did that internship at Weinstein @JB Gilpin – Very jealous! And will make sure to check that doco out @Slim. You may have seen this doco, but check out Searching for Sugar Man, which won the Oscar in 2012. Sorry, I can rant and rant when it comes to NBA, movies, TV shows…. and 90’s R&B 😉

@Lasandro: Dude that’d be awesome man! Def send our way.

Yeah those movies were great, but I like Killing Them Softly over AofJJ. I didn’t have any expectations really and the acting performances (particularly Gandolfini for me) were out of control. I need to watch Kwai! Will watch this weekend someway somehow! You’re such a wordly dude, I remember you mentioned Sri Lanka was your birthplace, very very cool.
Love Guy Pearce too. Will check that one out.

I haven’t seen it yet, I think I am this weekend at imax. I need to see Slim’s too, but will see if I can find yours which I’m sure I can! We love our rants and thoughts stemming from NBA!

So for Weinstein, I read scripts as they were either in spec, in production, or completed, so really all stages. But not distributed yet, wo why they had the interns reading them. The only one I know got made with a little money was “Columbus Circle” which I wrote a scathing coverage for. Read a great one called “The Scribe of Uraba” but never got made: http://www.cinereach.org/grants/grants-recipients/the-scribe-of-uraba

It had Viola Davis attached but never got shot.

This got made, but made no sense to me when I read the script haha (luckily it was in english):http://vimeo.com/25155505

But the big thing going on was Inglorious Basterds was nearing release, I got to see it a few weeks before theaters and all the inner working of promotion and someone there that I talked to a few times helped with some brainstorming re-writes. Longest comment ever! Thanks for listenin man!

So for biggest upside would you roster Shumpert, Wilson Chandler or Napier! Thanks!

      @jcg: Still Shumpert. Any time!

@nont: Hmmmm, it’s close but I’d prob hold Durant

What do you think of a MCW + Draymond for Holiday trade? Am I giving up too much? I don’t think my team can stomach bad FG FT shooting of MCW. Need to move him for another PG. Would you offer some good trade ideas? I have Holiday, Teague or Collison as targets.

    My current roster is:
    Curry, Lawson, MCW, Lou
    T.Jones, McD, Draymond, Mirotic
Millsap, Gortat, Timmy, Ed Davis, Adams

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@DK: Yeah I def like it! I had Jrue ahead of MCW in my ranks coming into the year (I think?) and not liking seeing Wroten starting next to him. Love Collison as a target. MCW straight up? Might get it done

      • DK says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Collison turned down. He hates Sixers. Don’t think holiday owner wants to part with his prized PG too.

Any other good ideas? I really want to move mcw cos my FG and FT are actually decent. Mcw drags it down quite a bit.

@DK: Well, avoid that owner! Haha. Ummm i would suggest maybe msg boarding the league and putting him on the trading block saying you’ll give him away for a halfway decent offer, the first that comes your way. Sometimes that actually works really way, especially to expedte everything
