    Hey razz-gang,
first of all great work, 2 pods in 2 days?! its like christmas!
the amount of content you guys spit out and the questions you respond to is phenomenal, especially when you’re not on the big bucks there! so if anyone has a go at your lack of effort please just ignore them and know that the other 99% of us razz-lovers out there appreciate it.

like everyone i would just like some quick thoughts on my team. 12 team roto league, 9 cat with auction draft.
westbrook, millsap, lawson, m gasol, jrue, gay, favors, markieff, k-martin, tobias, sanders, r-jax and draymond.

it looks like a strong team, but also a few brittle bones in there im depending on.
henson is on waivers, but would you agree sanders is looking more promising this season?

    appreciate it fellas

@Samsonite: Thanks man! We definitely try!

Whew, love the heavy PG! Yeah Jrue and Lawson have some concerns, but I like both. Markieff and K-Mart to drop in some treys late. Sanders to help with the blocks, very very very strong. Wow, yeah having trouble figuring out who to drop for Henson… I think I have Sanders higher, at least I should, and yeah agree he’s the guy to own. He really need to pan out to shore up blocks, but I think he’ll be fine there. Awesome draft! All guys in my top 95 or so.

      • Samsonite says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: thanks JB. Yeah I’m relying on sanders sanity to help me in blocks…..has it come to that already?! Haha good luck with your teams dude

Podcast is pretty sick. However first time I went on the site because I wanted to see what people had to say to the infamous scott guy. Thought that was fairly bush just because he did have a decent point. He was your top ranked player. But anyways thought it was funny at some of the stuff people were saying. The use of the word rattled was the exact word to describe you for having everyone make fun of one of your readers.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:

@unclebernie420: I didn’t “have” anyone do anything, it’s a free country πŸ™‚ Thanks for listening! I’m now gonna use rattled in articles through the year, i.e. “Jeff Green shot 2-10 again, must be rattled!”

      • Slim

        Slim says:
        (link)

@unclebernie420: I enjoyed the feedback. A couple of people really had fun with it and if we aren’t having fun then really what are we doing here? I didn’t have a problem with his point but to insinuate that we aren’t working hard enough because we didn’t appease him came off feeling a little entitled. Bringing money into the equation didn’t help especially considering he didn’t chip in anything to this imaginary budget. I put more hours into this than I do my job and I think I ask for very little, if anything, in return.

Rattled is a fine description, my 1st reaction was that the time I do put in isn’t enough for Scott and who knows who else so why am I putting so much time into it? It’s this community, these people I now call my friends, that keeps me going and if someone negatively effects my desire to do this then I know now I can rely on everyone to pump me up and get me excited about whatever comes next. It’s a good feeling and I am very grateful to everyone for all the nice things they say about us.

        • unclebernie420 says:
          (link)

@Slim: this is for you and JB… come on lol you gotta admit the only reason people were coming at him like that was because you guys called him out. im all for a little shit talking and having fun but the guy obv relies on you for fantasy advice and he just wanted, im assuming, a new rank for KD since he will no longer most likely be a first round player

          • JB Gilpin

            JB Gilpin says:
            (link)

@unclebernie420: At least 1/3 of those came before the Pod aired.

If he truly relied on our fantasy advice, there is a very easy way to communicate with us, just like you’re doing now. And I had discussed before he commented in prior comments. Instead of his remarks, could’ve asked “where is KD now with this news?” If we really wanted to be like every other fantasy site, we could use the 2ish extra hours (at least) we spend answering comments writing more updates and just turn comments off.

          • Slim

            Slim says:
            (link)

@unclebernie420: This is true. It just came off abrasive to me. It wasn’t asking what Durants new rank was. It was merely telling us he didn’t think we were working hard enough. But I think it’s over now. No need to beleaguer the point. If Scott posts again I will more than happily answer it to the best of my ability.

I am really grateful for all the positive comments though. Maybe I’m a little insecure, well I’m always insecure about my writing, but the positive feedback is very much my fuel.

  2. CTMN says:

Stauskas isn’t so terrible! Just McLemore. But I agree, Collison and Sessions will be solid, especially Collison at that value (I was never getting him before). Elfrid and Isaiah will be interesting picks now. But they killed so many guys…at least I can still get Henson (who moved from 177 to 144) and McDaniels (who as you mentioned, moved from 600+ to 156).

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@CTMN: I already forgot what I said but yeah Stauskus is a nice player. He’s adjusting well. The problem is more with his role since it looks like Sessions and Collison are going to be able to play together.

All 3 of those PGs are great value at those ranks but that doesnt mean they wont all get drafted earlier. I’d be very nervous thinking I could wait till the 8th to get my 3rd PG.

      • CTMN says:
        (link)

@Slim: I’d probably want them as my 4th PG actually. I feel like my friends are def gonna sleep on Elfrid, maybe not Collison though. Dragic at 39 is awesome though, if I can’t get Lowry, Dragic is definitely a great backup plan for me. I’m hoping I can grab maybe Dragic, Holiday, one of the 70s type guys, Payton, and Knight for PGs. Knight is really more of a SG so I don’t think it’ll be too much. If I get that trade done for 12 and 13, I could get maybe Wall-Cousins-Millsap-Dragic to start, then follow it with something like Jrue-Favors. Ariza and Faried got moved up so even the kinda-sleepers will be gone by 72.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@CTMN: Yeah, I meant more McLemore, it was more an indictment of Stauskas not differentiating himself like I think he could in preseason. And with Sessions playing combo gaurds with Colly, not looking good.

Agree, Dragic at 39 is crazy. I guess Bledsoe resigning had them change their minds? Dunno. Wreaking havoc on my draft plans!

Haven’t had a chance to listen to this yet but, I was just going to check something in your rankings and as soon as the page loaded I was shocked. I remember Razzball Basketball from a couple years ago, I believe around when JB came along, and this never would have happened in a million years then. You guys have over 600 comments on that post! Wow! That’s Razzball Baseball territory there, and not just the lower tier stuff either. Anyways, a very big congrats to Slim and JB here! As someone who’s been here a few years its night and day from those days, you know where RCLs had inconsistent settings for example, and its so good to see cause you guys do damn good work!

@DK: Love the dedication! And love seeing IT2 fall to you!

Great Taj pick, but even with him, think you’re a little low in blocks and boards. Bosh should go up, but even Noel next to RoLo aren’t great boarders. Did Dieng or Henson make it to waivers? Probably not at all these days… But one of them late would’ve been nice. If DeMarre/Barnes start hot, I might try to move for a big. Nice job getting threes late and in the 2nd half and for the playoffs, you’re gonna be a favorite with KD!

        2. (18) Paul Millsap (Atl – PF,C)
        3. (31) Nikola Vucevic (Orl – PF,C)
        4. (42) Monta Ellis (Dal – PG,SG)
        5. (55) Wesley Matthews (Por – SG,SF)
        6. (66) Jose Calderon (NY – PG)
        7. (79) Terrence Jones (Hou – SF,PF)
        8. (90) Reggie Jackson (OKC – PG,SG)
        9. (103) Arron Afflalo (Den – SG,SF)
        10. (114) Spencer Hawes (LAC – PF,C)
        11. (127) Mario Chalmers (Mia – PG)
        12. (138) Enes Kanter (Uta – C)
        13. (151) Omer Asik (NO – PF,C)

compare and contrast. look at that crazy value in the last 6 to 7 picks

      • DK says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: You are good. My eyes aren’t that trained to notice I lack rebounds. I knew I should’ve taken another rebounder but I am already heavy at PF/C position. Any trade recommendations?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@DK: I’m not big on Parker, but he fell to you at enough value and I think right around where I have him ranked. Maybe him for another big man? David West? But I dunno if he helps enough in blocks… It’s a little risky and should work, but Larry Sanders could fit awesome – but like I said it’s a risk.

          • DK says:
            (link)

@JB Gilpin: Yeah I took Parker cos I needed a PG then. And it further solidifies my FG and FT. No chance for Dieng or Henson. RCL drafters are brutal. If I move Parker I seem to be lacking in assists that I need to make up for.

            • JB Gilpin

              JB Gilpin says:

              • DK says:
                (link)

@JB Gilpin: I wonder if I should’ve drafted Gortat instead of Noel and my rebounds would be much better. Not sure if I am giving up too many blocks though.

@Sam from Team: What Would Jrue Do?: Ah, sorry man, bouncing between posts too much πŸ™‚ I see your other one but got ya here.

Yeah i really like all your picks relative to value. Only one I don’t like is Chalmers who is a little banged up and looks like losing minutes to Norris Cole. He could be one of the first you drop. I think you have a surplus of boards and a tad light on dimes. Asik and Kanter should crush the glass and you’ve already got Vuc to get dub-dubs every night too. But I should mention, I always forget Ellis is closer to 6 dimes than not.

Very confident with that team. Maybe if one of your late bigs takes off, you can move for a slow-starting PG. Early in the season, I will take yours over @DK: , but DK I think would have the slight edge as it sits now in the playoffs having Durant. So will be close between you two!

      • Sam from Breaking Batum says:
        (link)

        @JB Gilpin:

well that’s why i said to the group writ large during the draft if he is going to be audacios enough to take kd at 4 then what does it say about us if we let him ride a decimated roster to a playoff spot!?

the man has thrown down the gauntlet so to speak, if i can’t out manage an opponent who “forfeited” his 1st round pick when we all agree the 1st 5 and maybe almost 8-10 in h2h fantasy are legit STUDS then I shouldn’t play in a RCL league.

saying all that @DK come get a big son! I skipped on IT at 90 bc I wanted R Jax more but you could def. use a kanter or asik on your team. ..

        holla at cha boy

PS it’s by the grace of god I don’t face you until week 11 so if KD isnt back by then you’ll probably have folded the tent anyway. off the hook.

@DK: Yeah I saw… Maybe they assume more people on ESPN are playing roto? I don’t think there’s been anything new, still a lot of question marks. Maybe they know something that hasn’t been widely reported, but with all the info I’ve seen, that’s quite the overreaction.

    • Sam from Team: What Would Jrue Do? says:

@Sam from Team: What Would Jrue Do?: From what I’ve heard, I tend to agree, no reason to wait.

The reason I still pump him up is for the H2H aspect. Another “for sure” is KD is by far the best per-game fantasy player and has been the past 2 years. But he needs to “for sure” play… Haha… too many question marks!

        • CTMN says:
          (link)

@JB Gilpin: Its not important to this discussion, but why does rotoworld keep mentioning him as the best player in fantasy the last 5 years? I haven’t played fantasy that long, I know in reality he definitely hasn’t been #1, but I think he would be more like the best fantasy player the last 2-3 years.

@Jdrnym: Love your front court. I think Jabari is a little better in points, like that pick a ton. Korver is great too. I like pretty much every pick where you got them, Elfrid seems a tad high if this is the order you went, but admittedly I’m not as seasoned in points. Just for his -TO and -FT. For PTs, Timmy J can really score it up, like that pick. Nice work!

I mentioned a similar trade offer I had earlier, but what do you guys think of my Lowry and Henson for Teague and Gortat? I’m leaning towards no…

    • JB Gilpin

      (link)

@CTMN: Ehhhh, very close, but leaning no too. Lowry is still a good bit above the haul you get, nice to upgrade Henson to Gortat, but don’t think it’s wortht he downgrade of Lowry to Teague.

      • CTMN says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: yeah I’ve had some long negotiations lol. How about Lowry, Henson and Jones for Calderon, DeRozan, Pau and Gortat? How bout if it was Favors instead of Jones?Sorry for all the questions…

Lowry/Henson/Jones for Calderon/DeR/Pau/Gortat… Whewwww that’s a pretty big haul. Wouldn’t do it for Favors over Jones. Remind me your PG again? I might have to do that, I mean it’s a 2nd/3rd rounder and two sleeperish types for 4 guys right around 50…

      • CTMN says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: alright he took back his offers but he made one: Lowry and Henson for DeMar and Gortat. Just replaced Teague with DeMar from that earlier offer. Given my PGs (Rubio/MCW/Elfrid/Knight) and league settings (3s, pts/rebs/asts/stls/blks) would you do it? I think this might be the last offer because I’ve been talking about this way too much. Thanks for all the answers, hopefully I can actually get it done though!

          JB Gilpin says:

@CTMN: No problem at all, love the comments! Given you lose a PG, I don’t think it’s that bad of a swap out, assists are 1/7 of the cats and you get a big boost there with Teague over DeRozan I like that too!

            (link)

Yo JB. Here’s my last team for the year (I think)

    Zar’s Fantastic Team
    1. (5) James Harden (Hou – SG,SF)
    2. (20) Al Jefferson (Cha – PF,C)
    3. (29) Mike Conley (Mem – PG)
    4. (44) Dwight Howard (Hou – PF,C)
    5. (53) Kemba Walker (Cha – PG)
    6. (68) Kyle Korver (Atl – SG,SF)
    7. (77) Zach Randolph (Mem – PF,C)
    8. (92) Luol Deng (Mia – SF,PF)
    9. (101) John Henson (Mil – PF,C)
    10. (116) Jameer Nelson (Dal – PG)
    11. (125) Andre Iguodala (GS – SG,SF)
    12. (140) Rudy Gobert (Uta – C)
    13. (149) Nik Stauskas (Sac – SG)

I’m not thrilled with Dwight, but maybe Harden will help balance him. Also scared about Steals and Blocks ><

You guys should take a look at the whole draft. Very Razzbally. Rubio went up at 36, Jefferson drops down to 20th. Dipo got sniped at 38, Draymond up at 89. Poster Boy Thragnof Klay Thompson dropped to 43. It was fun, no autodrafters also. If you want to take a look at the whole draft, I can put together a document for you.

Yahoo should definitely hire you guys! Go apply!

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@Zar: I don’t hate the Howard pick where you got him. Jameer Nelson was a great pick considering assists are a bit low. The FT% will be unwinnable some weeks but I don’t immediately think it should be punted. It looks a little shy on blocks but that depends on Henson and Gobert. If there’s one category that sticks out that might need a little help I would say it’s steals. I’m not sure if anyone after Harden, Conley, Kemba will get over 1.0 SPG, Iggy should assuming he gets enough minutes. Not too many teams I like Iguodala on but this would be one I do.

Applying for a job at Yahoo never crossed my mind. Eh, I want to stay here.

@Sam from Team: What Would Jrue Do?: Yeah I just took a look. Man that draft….

It’s time to do some wheeling and dealing….I really wanted Rubio, I woulda taken him instead of Dwight.

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Zar: Yeah if Gobert and Henson stick, then FT will be tough to win most weeks. Agree with Slim, the bottom half lacks some steals, but I think Harden/Kemba can go on enough spurts to win it some weeks, with it being such a low volume cat.

Glad to hear it went Razzbally! Draymond 89?! Wow, even above my high rank! Haha

What do you think of Jrue for Kemba, I’ll be getting Kemba. 9 CAT, H2H.

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@John: Pretty close. I would say it’s more need based than anything. Kemba if you think you need more 3s, points, and fewer TOs. Jrue for high end assists upside and without as poor a FG%. In a vacuum I think I would take Jrue because what he’s good at is a little harder to find than what Kemba does. But if Kemba fits your needs better then I would be for it.

  13. DK says:

I am now truly confused how I should go about my 4th pick of 14 teams H2H. Risk KD or the safer route if CP3 or Harden. Previously Curry was a guarantee for me and he seems easier to build a team around.

I find CP3 a little hard. Yes he’s strong in ast and stl. But my team often end up lacking in points and 3z after I fill up the big men etc. I might be approaching the draft wrong. Theoretically I think I need to draft CP3 + 2 big men, 2 PG, 1 pure 3s volume the first 6 or 7 rounds. But somehow I either miss the big blocks or lose my chance to grab that high volume 3s.

    Any advice? On risk Kd?

If not how best to built teams around cP3 or Harden.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@DK: Apparently my risking KD is against the grain. At this point, from the news we have, I still have him there. With no update on him having surgery or confidence it will heal, Harden is looking a little more appealing. Not going CP3 though. I’m still gonna risk KD and have confidence I can build a .510-.520 winning team until the second half. Around Harden, I would embrace the FT shooting and try to avoid the huge TO guys. i.e. might pass on Oladipo and Elfrid.

  14. John says:

After some trades and free agent pick ups. My lineup is:
John Wall, Patrick Beverley, Jrue Holiday, Jeremy Lin, Elfrid Payton
    Wesley Matthews, Bradley Beal
Carmelo Anthony, Chandler Parsons, Tobias Harris
    Jordan Hill, Tristan Thompson
Andre Drummond, Marc Gasol, Nikola Pekovic

Still in Free agency, Carroll, Matt Barnes, Draymond Green, Jameer Nelson, Mason Plumlee, Alec Burks, Wilson Chandler, Miles Plumlee, Javale McGee, Rodney Stuckey, Amare Stoudemire, OJ Mayo and Aaron Gordon. Who could I still pick and drop?

  16. raymonde says:
    (link)

Hey guys, I was wondering how I should approach building a
h2h team. I have a bunch of sites stress that winning 5-4 is the same as 9-0. In my league, 5-4 is the same as 5-4. You are scored vs your opponent for the week but total score is added up for rankings. If I stick with the 5-4 strategy and lose 2-7 one week, I am fighting an uphill battle.

Should I take a more balanced approach in this league or is punting still the way to go?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@raymonde: Yeah I have no idea why the hell a site would say that! There are some leagues that do 9 categories straight W/L. So 5-4 win in week 1 = 1-0 record, but they’re pretty uncommon, and I’ve literally never played in one.

You definitely want to win as many cats as you can, so I go balanced. I like to get PG-heavy for assists and steals which are hard to stream, and then stream for additional 3s during the week. So that means I tend to lose TO since I play a lot of G and a lot more minutes.

I definitely don’t endorse punting, go balanced! Thanks for stoppin by!

      • raymonde says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Cool, thanks! Punting just isn’t the same since the top two blockers aren’t even FT killers.

    Hey Razzball Gang!

Awesome podcast. Learnt a few things which is always great. Also, weird how Yahoo changes were done. I honestly took a look at them and was literally going “did Yahoo steal Razzball’s rankings”. Even weirder is that if you click on the notes, they don’t bring up the Rotoworld blurbs. Wonder if they possibly broke up. Maybe you could ask if they’d like you to pay you after all!

Also thanks for the help previously! I managed to get Draymond with what I thought was my last pick. So my teams looking good I think. Yeah, you probably noticed that I said “thought was my last pick”. It is now time for “have a few laughs at my expense”, starring me!

You remember how I presented what was supposed to be the roster as 2G, 2F, 1C, 1U, 4B? You don’t? Well, that’s okay because apparently I forgot what my roster chart was too! Its 3G, 3F, 1C, 1U, 3B. Even better is I still got one pick left to go.

    With my roster as such:
Guard – Kemba Walker, Michael Carter-Williams, Victor Oladipo, Jeff Teague, Elfrid Payton
Forward – Andre Drummond (FC), Markieff Morris (FC), John Henson (FC), Draymond Green
    Centre – Steven Adams

Which of these guys should I go for my last?
Guard – Gerald Green (GF), Avery Bradley, P.J. Tucker (GF), Patty Mills, Jeremy Lamb (GF)
Forward – Julius Randle, Mason Plumlee (FC), Mirza Teletovic, K.J. McDaniels
Centre – Kelly Olynyk, Henry Sims, Rudy Gobert

And yes, I’m entirely embarrassed about not remembering the roster for my league. Even more embarrassed admitting to that fact.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Dorian: Thanks so much man! Really, you don’t see the rotoworld blurbs? I see them ok… Maybe because I’m on Web? I dunno…

Yeah crazy how they suddenly looked so similar to us! Oh well. Made us feel smart πŸ™‚

Love your core there. Maybe FG% is a tad iffy, but barely. TO is definitely bad though, both ORL and MCW, but not problem punting that.

It’s a daily league right? You can make daily roster changes? If so, I def want another C. I think your blocks are good enough to go Sims. Actually, I think of all you list, I have Sims the highest.

Don’t be embarrassed man, we’re still in preseason! Got about two weeks left to get into season form!

        Hey JB!

Okay, so maybe just me then with roto. As for the league, its the 3 Keeper, 16 team, 8 cat (no TOs) daily league I mentioned a few columns of yours ago. Hence why I was going whoops and feeling embarrassed. Can’t believe I drafted not according to the league structure. The only good news is that I’m sort of going to get away with it.

Of course, the moment I posted that, I’m out on Mirza, Olynyk and McDaniels. But anyways, again, thanks for the help. Sims it is.

@Jon: Nah I’m def gonna keep Dieng there. Chandler had his shot to show what he could be as a starter last year and blew it. I think his career will finish as a bench guy. And Mirotic will certainly be up and down, but I don’t see nearly the kinda future Dieng could have. Any time!

  20. Jon says:
    (link)

Thanks jB! I was just thinking that Dieng’s offensive game is so limited from college. I feel like in the future Mirotic will be at least as good as the best player in Europe last few years.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Jon: Yeah I had very low expectations for Dieng too. I remember watching him early in the year as well, and he looked awful. But that final month in starting minutes (9 games): 11.9/10.7/1.6/0.8/2. Yeah the 45% FG is no bueno, but 70% FT is fine. Mirotic is also on the wrong team to have minutes upside. But that’s just my take!

      @hisXLNZ: What’s good man?!

Haha that’s some straight up Beautiful Mind stuff going on! So for McGee… I’m worried. That said, you need his blocks upside so I’d hold for now.

14 teams, with LeBron, I think your assists are mid-leve, but not great. Plus a lot depends on what Bron’s assists do with Kyrie now alongside. All other stats, except the blocks, look fantastic. So assists and blocks I think are your deficiencies heading into the year.

Only guy of those 3 at the bottom that intrigues me is Sims, but he isn’t a blocker for a big. He’s more low-TO, good %, rebounds kinda guy, and I think you’re fine there so I’d hold McGee and cross my fingers his leg heals up!

Whoa, yeah nasty core! Yeah TO look great, only Cousins hurts there. PG that don’t TO the ball a lot – Calderon and Jameer as later picks come to mind. Obviously not huge volume in assists, but great ratios. Mike Conley is a solid PG for you if available.

Steals – Ariza helps a lot there and is great with low TO and %s. Then if you avoid the bad FT blockers (DeAndre, Drummond, Dwight, Rudy Gobert/McGee late), you should be solid from there.

@GL: So I need a little help, what are T, TT and T-? And I’m assuming the # is where you have them on your board overall.

So guys I think you have a little high – Klay I won’t take top 60 since you can stream/get 3s late, but that’s my H2H philosophy on the 3-point guys. RoLo is a bit high for me, but I have a personal bias on him πŸ™‚ Markieff at 54 – for that to happen everything has to go right and he has to be as amazing as humanly possible, I think it takes away his sleeper value. Same with TJones. I like both, but more in a late 70s kinda way.

Too low – I love Noel, Ariza I think can be a value at the right time if you need his assets (low volume scorer), same with Matthews (better scorer, great %s, low TO), I’m going a round earlier on Jrue. All but Ariza are pretty young for a keeper, and Noel and Jrue have really good long-term potential.

Whaddaya think? I’m a bit worried about MCW not coming back until next year. Also low on scorers I think. Thinking of dropping Amir or Nene to stream a SF.

@worried: Whoa… Ummm, technical fouls, yeah I don’t think I’ve ever seen that as a cat!

Nah, no way MCW is out even a month. Just moving him slow to be sure he’s healthy.

Yup agree you’re low in scoring. Nelson is a great last guy, shores up PG. Love your bigs, Millsap/Vuc/Noel I all have ranked higher than ADP.

I did a quick search on techs because I was curious – knew Cousins would be up there and he’s tied for first – looks like none of your guys were in the top 40 or 50 except Dragic at the very bottom at 7. So I like that too!

No problem streaming SF for points, maybe wait until the end of week 1 to figure out if you for sure need them, and who starts hotter of the 2. I’d be more apt to drop Nene first.

razzup guys?! whats your outlook for dragic this season? with the new rankings, ive been getting him 3rd round. who do you like of the three, dragic, ellis, holiday? i like holiday a lot, but cant just reach for him at the 3rd or 4th round, getting dragic and ellis there coz theres still a chance i can get holiday or teague at 5th. tnx! go get em pgs early!

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@MAC: I don’t think anything has changed with Dragic. He’s still a late 2nd/ early 3rd rounder for us. The FG% from a PG makes him really unique. Ellis is nice but he isn’t Dragic. Holiday is definitely moving up most people’s ranks and we have him late 3rd round. If he falls to the 5th it would be a major coup in my opinion, even Teague in the 5th feels like great value.

      • MAC says:
        (link)

        @Slim:
yup. hoping to get either holiday or teague in the 5th as my 3rd pg. basically going 3 pg 3 bigs my first 6 picks. how bout wings, ariza, korver, butler? i like them in that order.

      • MAC says:
        (link)

        @Slim:
forgot lawson, dragic over lawson? liked lawson over conley, but now with the injury not gonna get him. in order, conley, dragic, ellis, bledsoe, lawson as last resort in the 3rd-4th round range pg. bledsoe?

        • Slim

          Slim says:
          (link)

@MAC: 3 bigs, 3 PGs in the 1st 6 picks is my ideal strategy too. Doesn’t always work out but it is definitely my goal.

          My order…

          Dragic, Lawson, Conley, Ellis, Bledsoe.

I think that’s how JB ranked them too. Conley is nice and safe and I won’t argue with anyone taking him in the 3rd round, but he doesn’t offer the great FG% Dragic does or the high end assist upside Lawson does so I can’t put him ahead of either.

I would put Butler ahead of Korver, he’s looked really good in the preseason and I’m a sucker for 2.0+ steals per game. I think FG% is the biggest factor working in Korvers favor but I think we could very well see Butler bring his up significantly. I think I would keep Ariza over Butler since they are so similar but Ariza offers much more stability. But no question Jimmy Butler offers more upside.

          • JB Gilpin

            JB Gilpin says:
            (link)

@MAC: @Slim: PG – Yup it’s how we got em!

Keeping Ariza well ahead of those other wings. He was just so good last year, hard to see anything but points really go down. I think I have Korver ahead of Butler, but just marginally. I could go either and feel great, a lot depends on roster comp too at that point.

                (link)

@MAC: KCP with Meeks out. Otto Porter is rapidly shooting up with a starting role with Rice a little banged up. Elfrid Payton, IT2, Collison all should be gone, but sometimes they last late.

Bigs – Jordan Hill, Henson, Dieng are all big for us. Draymond Green as SF/PF too!

                    (link)

@MAC: Yup, agree with both! Adams has as much upside as those guys, but still worried about minutes. Mozgov has a pretty assured role, at least to start the year with McGee still not back. Hickson will be back at some point too I’d imagine, so eventually he’ll have to fight for minutes, but for now as a last pick, he’s a great add.

Which side of Chris Paul/Corey Brewer for Love/George Hill would you prefer to be on in standard 12 team redraft league? Thanks in advance.

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@Schmohawks Bob: I have Chris Paul well ahead of Love. Corey Brewer is a last guy/ waiver wire type in a 12er so I’m not putting much in him, also your getting a ton more steals by adding Paul which mitigates Brewer’s best category. I imagine there could be someone else on the free agent list I like better, especially since you’re losing so many boards. I’m about the lowest there is on Love, I don’t think he’s a 1st rounder, and George Hill is ok this year but Chris Paul more than makes up for whatever he would have given. I’d take it although if I could switch out Brewer for another player I like more I would try that first.

I’m in a 14 team H2H dynasty league. Mason Plumlee is available should I add him and drop Miles Plumlee, Middleton, or Tristan Thompson?

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@CA: I would take Mason over all 3 with Brook Lopez already having issues with his legs. My 1st choice to go would be Tristan. I think Middleton offers the most upside in a dynasty but his minutes outlook isn’t good. If you wanted more stats right now then I would drop him instead.

      • CA says:
        (link)

@Slim: a guy in the league needs a pg and has offered my knight and thompson for his nowitski and D. green. Thinking I may do that instead of picking up plumlee

        • Slim

          Slim says:
          (link)

@CA: Danny or Draymond? eh doesn’t matter, I’d take that trade in a heartbeat if it was only Dirk. And that’s Tristan right? Just want to make sure it isn’t Klay, although I’m not sure that changes my mind either way. I get your losing youth for an old guy which is something I tend to avoid in a dynasty but those guys aren’t exactly ‘A’ type prospects anyway.

          • CA says:
            (link)

@Slim: It’s Danny Green and Tristan thompson

          • JB Gilpin

            (link)

@CA: @Slim: Yeah I didn’t even rank Thompson top 200. Don’t see minutes and he only scores and boards. Agree with Slim, taking Mason over all 3.

Yup, definitely have to take that trade. Sucks to lose Knight, I think I like him long-term a little more than Slim, but you get monster stats and not losing a guy with say, I dunno, MCW upside? Should load ya up for this year!

Hey guys, thanks for the podcast. I’d like to get your thoughts on my team. ESPN standard roto league with only 8 teams:

    Stephen Curry
    DeMar DeRozan
    Chandler Parsons
    LaMarcus Aldridge
    Al Jefferson
    Goran Dragic
    Paul Millsap
    Andre Drummond
    Gordon Hayward
    Kyle Korver

    Bench:
    Robin Lopez
    Markieff Morris
    Reggie Jackson

Any glaring holes? I’m afraid I went with too many bigs.

    Thanks

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@John: Yeah I’d agree with your bigs. Only 2 PG, well 3 with Reggie, I dunno is enough in an 8-teamer. Korver is great in roto wouldn’t move him.

I think your biggest overload is rebounds and points. Jefferson and Aldridge hit those molds the hardest. I would try to move one of those guys, maybe plus something if you have to, for John Wall? Would really even out your team.

I think I’d look to move Aldridge first. His FG% is fine but not great for a big, and since you have Gordon Hayward who is a little bad there too, that’d be where I start.

      Any time!

  30. jrsmith says:
    (link)

would you drop jr smith for KCP, or a high upside rookie that may be left on waivers, or jordan hill?

basically i’m trying to dump jr smith either via wire or trade.

also. what do you make of jimmy butler’s preseason? i drafted him for $6 in my draft and immediately feel the need to trade him, but he’s looked good. post-hype breakout year? i looked and last year he took a step back in Fg%, etc. chance he comes back?

also. whats your take on IT2’s situation. picked him up on the waiver (no idea why he wasn’t drafted) and feel great about it.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@jrsmith: Yup! I’d drop JR for either.

It depends on your team needs. Need rebounds/blocks = Hill. Need 3s/steals/and a guy that never turns the ball over = KCP.

Butler is a really good player, but will never truly shine on the Bulls. The steals shine though! But not much else. Last year he also played an absurd amount of minutes (38:39 MPG!), so maybe a slight regression in steals. With Rose back, yeah FG% should go up as he won’t be forced to do as much. At $6, I think that’s about right.

Love IT2 relative to value. Absolutely no way he should’ve been undrafted. I have him in the 70s and feel great about him there. Going to play 30 minutes pretty easy.

  31. Aaron says:
    (link)

Hi, loving the podcasts! Thanks for all the info. I tried to follow your advise, but I don’t think I was the only one. A lot of the bigs I was banking on were taken and I was sent scrambling, normally taking best player available (usually a PG). I know I have to make trades now (not the easiest thing), but any advise is welcome. I picked 3rd in a 12 team, 9 cat, H2H league:
    1. Curry 2. Irving 3. Millsap 4. Rubio 5. Hayward 6. Hibbert 7. MCW 8.Lin 9. Jeff Green 10. Sullinger 11. McDaniels 12. Nelson 13. Alec Burks 14. Steven Adams
    (6 PGs!!!!)

    • CTMN says:
      (link)

@Aaron: Well its only 5 PGs since Burks actually never plays PG in reality (I’m not sure why he’s listed there). I’m pretty sure that Curry and Kyrie are both eligible at SG in yahoo, and so is Lin. So if you count them as SGs then it doesn’t matter that much. Really having SGs that are actual SGs doesn’t matter, because shooting guards don’t bring any stats specific to that position. PGs get asts and PF/C get rebounds and blocks. The main things for wings are points, 3s, and steals, but every position gets points and steals and your PGs can cover all that. For the rest of the team I’d just worry about rebounds and blocks. Your ft%, points, asts, steals, and 3s all look good. Fg% might struggle a bit with Hayward/MCW/Rubio but Irving’s fg%should go up with easier shots this year next to LeBron and Love. Just your rebounds and blocks look really rough, Hayward and MCW are good with rebounds for guards/wings but your only quality bigs are really Millsap and Hibbert so maybe try to trade Irving for someone like Jefferson/Ibaka/Griffin/Horford.

Yeah I’m with @CTMN: especially after Slim’s schedule breakdown he put out today: http://basketball.razzball.com/rcl-playoff-schedule-post-effect-player-rankings

Kyrie and that schedule is sucky, and luckily it’s your position of strength. I think you went too big on hibbert, but I know you needed a big πŸ™‚ 7th round MCW value is unreal. I think a little high on Jeff Green too, but I liked him last year and it still hurts haha.

Maybe Kyrie+Green for Ibaka? Would love that.

Love both those moves! No idea why IT2 is not getting drafted, it’s lunacy! Happening in more and more leagues… And yeah Kieff should be owned too.

Awesome depth! and your PG aren’t TO prone so I like that. IT2 and Kieff will help with scoring where I think you’re a tad weak before adding those guys. Then def KD will help. Overall, awesome team given you’ve got KD! Def think you’ll have a winning record until he’s back.

Hi Guys, I wanted some consultation on a Roto League with 12 teams, 8 categories, TOs do not count.

I usually play head to head. I might have gotten a bit excited on the threes………

I know I am weak on assists, so my question is, in addition to any other comments about pick order or trendiness (pretty trendy picks I know…), who should I target if I want to trade 3pt guy for assist guy??

    9. Serge Ibaka
    16. Chris Bosh
    33. Kawhi Leonard
    40. Klay Thompson
    57. Kenneth Faried
    64. Kyle Korver
    81. George Hill
    88. Demarre Carrol
    105. Reggie Jackson
    112. Draymond Green
    129. Gorgui Dieng
    136. Steven Adams
    143. Wilson Chandler

I’ve since dropped Chandler for Lamb after the Durant injury.

    Thankd guys!!

    Max

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Max: Nah man, 3s in roto are much more important than 3s in H2H. First of all, yeah no problem getting Lamb early on for Wilson. Good buzz to start the year.

Yeah Korver and Kley might be a little overkill at 3PTM. Whoa, crazy you got Bosh BEFORE Kawhi! Usually it’s flip flopping those two. I like all your pick values, except I think you mighta gone Carroll too high.

In roto, even though 3s are more important, they’re still streamable to help, so yeah I’d trade Klay or Korver for a PG. Klay for… Jrue? Maybe even Lawson will take it. In roto with no TO, I like having tons of PG, so I would try to get the PG who break out early and make a move. Any time!

    (53) Gortat
    (60) MCW
    (81) T. Jones
    (88) Monroe
    (109) Draymonddddd
    (116) Jameer Nelson
    (137) Henson
    (144) Teletovic
    (165) C.J. Miles
    (172) My fav KCP at last pick!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@DK: Love it! We’ll get to Lawson below, but still like the value at 32.

Really everyone you got you got above my ranks. Curry/Lawson (cross fingers)/MCW/Jameer should be enough PG depth. Henson needs to pan out to shore up blocks, but I think he will.

I think you’re a little loaded in treys, but mostly because I like Jameer/Telet/CJ/KCP all late too. Add them to Curry, and boom! So I’d sell one of those last 3 picks for a big if they really go off early.

      • DK says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Usually the late ones are mostly treys. What should I be selling my 3pters for? Big men? I seem to be quite loaded in PF/C too.

Right now, I fear for MCW’s shoulder and Lawson’s hammy. I asked my friends to analyse my team, my FG, FT and TO are quite bad too. Should I be trying to move guys like MCW or Jameer and trade for better FG guards? Or I should be fine?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@DK: I don’t see FG as an issue at all, TJones is huge there, Gortat and Monroe should help enough. Ft isn’t bad either – MCW, Gortat and Henson are bad, but Curry helps and you don’t have any of the main drain guys. TO isn’t great, but those vary a lot.

I wouldn’t move MCW or Nelson yet. Maybe package a 3PT guy + Monroe if he starts hot for a more blocking big. But no need to rush to make moves before the year starts! Easy to sell high/buy low a week into the season. That’s when people really start to overreact.

          • DK says:
            (link)

@JB Gilpin: JB, wanna say thanks for all the advice. Awesome that you are willing to do this.

I will look into solidifying my blocks somehow. Currently Sessions is still available. But I’m not sure how I should drop to get it. Feels like I want an insurance for my assists.

            • JB Gilpin

              JB Gilpin says:
              (link)

@DK: Yeah man, it’s what we do!

Absolutely no problem dropping Miles for Sessions. I think I have Sessions ranked higher. Curry hitting all those 3s makes Miles less important for ya.

              • DK says:
                (link)

@JB Gilpin: My league doesn’t have lots of trading activity, so I am not very experienced in trading. I guess is to quickly sell them quick when they are hot. But sometimes I don’t know how to value players and tend to be reluctant to part with them.

@JB Gilpin: Someone dropped Channing Frye to FA. I figured I could take him and stash since he gives me treys + some reb/blocks. It could help my weak reb/blk. What do you think?

@JB Gilpin: Too late, I lost the bid. Another team won the bid for $15.

Anyways, I further analyse the stats of my team and yes, per your analysis, I am fairly weak in rebounds and blocks. Now you suggested trading away Monroe + another hot guy later for a shot blocker. I have a few in my mind, Duncan, Gasol, RoLo, Chandler. But Monroe has huge rebounding numbers. My blocks would go up, but my rebounds might also go down slightly. How do you suggest I keep my rebs, but also up my rebs?

@DK: Yeah they would, do a 2-for-2. Monroe+KCP or Teletovic for Gasol+Jordan Hill? If that team had Hill? One of the top 100ish ranked bigs that has some boards. If that team needed 3s and KCP or Telet hit like 4 the first two games, they might do it

                    • DK says:
                      (link)

@DK: Too bad the guy holding Gasol and Hill has plenty of 3s. Don’t think that would work out.

Another potential one would be another team that has Farried, RoLo, Pekovic, Gibson and Sims. But he’s someone who prioritize FG and FT quite a bit.

I bided my time a lil too much during the draft as everyone else spent massively big on most of the guns, and missed having a real difference maker while over spending on mediocre players5. It’s a well balanced team, but not a GREAT team.

    $40 Kyle Lowry PG
    $1 Rodney Stuckey SG
    $9 Trevor Ariza SF
    $25 Derrick Favors PF
    S42 Al Jefferson C
    $21 Jeff Teague G
    $5 Ryan Anderson F
    $41 Chris Bosh UTL
    $11 Jeremy Lin UTL
    $1 Rammon Sessions UTL
    $2 Channing Frye
    $1 KCP
    $1 Gorgui Dieng

Notable FA are CJ Miles, Henry Sims, Mason Plumlee, James Ennis, Wes Johnson.
Obviously SG and SF are a bit weak, and Points may prove an issue…
Is it worth dropping anyone for CJ Miles..

    Thanks for any advice guys!!

@Kiwi: Awesome, glad we’re helping, thanks so much for stoppin by!

Yeah I agree with ya, it’s a good team with a lot of balance. You’re awesome in %s. Lowry/Stucey/Teague/Lin/Sessions – I think you built enough assists without having to spend big.

I think you’re a little light in blocks along with points. Favors is really only your big blocker (love his value btw). Dieng too if he pans out.

Nah, not picking any of those guys up. I think I’d roll into the year with that lineup, with an eye for an emerging big early. Any time!

      @Kiwi:
At second glance, I’m pretty buggered in Boards, blocks and assists with 3’s to spare. Might try and move C.Frye for a decent late round big.
Is it expecting too much for J.Lin’s assist numbers to be a bit higher than the projected 5-6 per game. Nash is essentially gonna be a non factor and Lin looked good in preseason before getting injured…

        @Kiwi:
Thanks JB, I’ll rest my itchy fingers and wait for the season to get underway!

          (link)

@Kiwi: Yeah I think Jefferson will help with boards. Ehhh… 6-7 is still the high end for Lin AST. Kobe is still gonna hog the ball and try to create his own thing. I’m pumped too man!

@Dom B: H2H or roto? It’s a ton of high end players on both, I’ll lean team 2 since with KD I think they would win in the H2H playoffs.

  40. Larry says:
    (link)

Hi JB, finished my draft, but had a few setbacks because I lost my internet connection for a few rounds: 9-cat 12 team H2H, PG SG G SF PF F C Util 2 bench

    1. KD (5)
    2. Millsap (20)
    3. Dragic (29)
    4. Favors (44)
    5. Rondo (53) – wasn’t supposed to draft him, but this is where I lost my connection
    6. Ariza (68) – also auto-picked for me, but not really complaining
    7. Gortat (77)
    8. RoLo (92)
    9. Knight (101)
    10. Danny G. (116)

Basically my problem here is assists and FT. Can KD carry all the bad Ft shooters once he’s healthy? I would’ve gotten some other PG than Rondo and maybe another PG instead of Ariza if I could’ve. I like my 1st 8 picks except for Rondo and maybe for a lack of a PG. Thoughts?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Larry: Hey man! Oh damn, that blows… Yeah Rondo seems high – no one is taking him. But sorta becoming a value, usually falling into the 60s or 70s. Yeah FT is rough, but I think KD will be a huge help there! AST I think is indeed your biggest weakness, but if Rondo comes back strong like he should, you’ll be fine. Maybe punt FT until KD is back then look to move Gortat for another PG.

      • Larry says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Should I switch Danny Green for Elfrid Payton or J. Nelson?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Larry: Yup I def would for either! I’d get Payton.

          • Larry says:
            (link)

@JB Gilpin: I want to get Payton but doesn’t that destroy the FT of my team? I have a feeling that it would be hard to trade players with the people in this league, they’d always see any trade as unfair lol.

            • JB Gilpin

              JB Gilpin says:
              (link)

@Larry: In H2H I’m fine losing FT, once KD is back he’ll help a ton. Yeah that sucks when people are like that, just let people trade how they want!

  41. Dom B says:

This is my team in a keeper league do I need a SG or is Derozan good enough

    3. Stephen Curry, GS PG
    7 Carmelo Anthony, NY SF

    15 Al Jefferson, Cha C
    19 Michael Carter-Williams*, Phi PG

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Dom B: DeRozan and Hayward should be solid enough. MCW is a keeper in most leagues, but with yours looking so shallow I dunno, how many can you keep year-to-year?

      • Dom B says:
        (link)

        @JB Gilpin: 7 keeper

  42. Dom B says:
    (link)

Also is carter Williams worth keeping in a keeper league

  43. Dom B says:
    (link)

Better start for the whole year Gordan Hayward or Okay Thompson I traded Paul Millsap for Klay

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Dom B: Well I like Millsap over Klay, but between Klay and Hayward and looking at your team, I’d probably Klay given the shallow league. 7 keepers from your team, nah MCW is probably out.

I have a feeling I didn’t do so well on Kap vs Razzball draft. It was 3am and I am thrown off my last pick. Rarely done drafts with 12 pick with double picks every round.

    1. (12) Kevin Love (Cle – PF,C)
    2. (13) Al Jefferson (Cha – PF,C)
    3. (36) Jrue Holiday (NO – PG)
    4. (37) Ricky Rubio (Min – PG)

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@DK: Yeah the waiting is really tough. I don’t mind this team! Blocks is lacking. But I think you built enough PG, steals are awesome, FG% should be good, treys you got late, KJ will help with blocks too, I think it’s pretty solid!

      • DK says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: I was surprised you think you wouldn’t mind. At that time I thought it was bad. Doesn’t help that Yahoo’s projection rank me bottom most. Hopefully Dieng plays decent so I can get some blocks out of him.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@DK: Well Yahoo probably hates Dieng, Jrue/Calderon/Elfrid I bet they hate but I like where you got them, we almost got Jure vs. Yahoo experts in an unreal spot that you’ll see here in a few hours tomo morning in an experts’ league recap post πŸ™‚

          • DK says:
            (link)

@JB Gilpin: Dieng looks good for a big who can somewhat hit decent FTs. Jrue is ranked very low 55. Including Calderon too. If Felton can do 5.5 ast in NY with Melo, I am sure Calderon will get at least 6-7. Plus he hits 2+ treys. Treys and assists, give it to me!

Can’t wait for your recap post!

  45. SamYo says:

First draft, totally admitting I was somewhat lost but this is what I ended up with. It’s a regular 12 team H2H, 9 cat league

    PG – Dragic
    SG – Ellis
    G – Collison
    SF – Giannis
    PF – Horford
    F- Anthony Davis
    C – Favors
    C – Henson
    Util – Draymond Green
    Util – Brewer
    Bench – A Burks
    Bench – Stuckey
    Bench – CoJo

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@SamYo: Awesome bigs! Love that. Assists are a little lacking as are points. Ellis was an awesome pick for this build, and obviously AD should be good in Pts, but think you might need a little more scoring. And 3s are light so you’ll have to stream those. Love the elite big men though!

      • SamYo says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Realized after early rounds that I should’ve gone for guards earlier. Any advice who to target for assists/points help?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@SamYo: Yeah they dry up fast this year. Jameer Nelson? 3s/pts/ast. George Hill is playing well this preseason as well. Jeremy Lin is another guy who could be a buy low.

  46. Blint says:
    (link)

    Hey JB ,
Listening to almost all the podcasts. Its funny when you rip Slim everytime Heat lose a game πŸ˜‰
Also I am rooting for more international players in the league every year just to hear you pronounce their names !

Now to my question – This is my Roster Posotion
PG, SG, SF, PF, C, Util, Util, Util, Util, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN
In a 12 team league so we ar rostering 180 players!

    (FG%), (FT%), (3PTM), (3PT%), (PTS), (REB),(AST) (ST) (BLK)
    9 cats and no TO’s

With 4 Util spots should I just load up on PGs that shoot 3’s, instead of drafting multiple SG SF players? Any league specific advice ? Also this is a keeper league any rookies outside the Top 200 that could be good next year or 2 years from now? Thanks!

P.S. Another person form my league is on here asking questions too . This should be fun!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Blint: Hahaha thanks man, yeah we’re definitely having a lot of fun with em. Thanks for listening!

Yeah with all those UTIL I definitely wanna go PG heavy. 3PT% is an interesting one, definitely avoiding brandon jennings! Kyle Korver goes way up as well. Jose Calderon might be a top 50 player in that format given his great 3PT%.

If you’re ever stuck between two options, use 3PT% as a decider, and have it up as you go: http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/player/_/stat/3-points

Not many people will monitor that.

Whewwww, deep rookies… Well Rodney Hood I have ranked should barely get drafted. Kyle Anderson I like but has limited upside. Bogdanovic I have ranked late too but could be interesting.

Haha, well I will be unbiased but will be fun to follow you two!

      • Blint says:
        (link)

        @JB Gilpin:

Thanks for that link, quite a few names jump out! I am quite surprised with Affalo being in the top 10 ! Is he better pick than say Loul Deng in this league?

Doing a few mocks I am having a lot of trouble drafting in the round 7-11 . Your rankings have a few players that yahoo has ranked quite low so logic says I can wait to get them but then its for all those players πŸ˜› No option but to reach for them. So is wasting a pick on say Paul George this year in Round 8 worth it ? I can keep him next year at this round

Also which round do you see these players going 2-3 years from now , what’s their ceiling

        Wiggins
        Parker
        Noel
        Elfrid Payton
        Exum
        Smart

        Thanks JB!!

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Blint: Yeah Afflalo has really improved his 3PT game. I think I would go him over Deng in that league.

I’d go by team need, grab a guy that fits then maybe a sleeper after and stagger like that. Nah, I mean round 8 seems decent value right now, but it will probably cost you your season.

          Wiggins could be a 1.
          Parker a 2-3
          Noel 2-3
          Payton 4th? 5th? Rubio-ish?
Exum and Smart I don’t think will be top 10 at all.

          Any time!

Ohh forgot about Embiid should I draft him with last few picks??
I am hoping people forget about him and Paul George and can get them late

@Blint: Oh yeah, good catch! Still I wouldn’t overdraft those guys to lock up a roster spot, but you do have a nice deep bench so it’s not the end of the world

  47. Craig says:
    (link)

In a 14 team H2H league and ehh I don’t know about my team. We only had 30 seconds for each pick… thoughts?

    Goran Dragic
    James Harden
    Eric Gordon
    Thaddeus Young
    Paul Millsap
    Kenneth Faried
    Nikola Pekovic
    Timofey Mozgov
    Andrew Wiggins
    Reggie Jackson
    Alec Burks
    Vince Carter
    Brandan Wright

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Craig: 30 seconds, the commish was in a hurry I guess! Haha. Love your bigs, a lot of multi-cat guys, but you’re really thin at PG and assists. Scoring might be tough at times, Harden of course is awesome, but past that no real big scoring guys. Blocks look light too. Mozgov should help early, but he will be a sell high when Hickson/McGee are back.
