I made the playoffs in two leagues with Al Jefferson. One league I’m ahead by one cat as of now, but my team has been hit by the injury bug big time, so I don’t know if I’ll survive. It sucks, cause I am the reigning champ (It’s a keeper league) and I was just killing everyone this season. My other league (also a keeper league) I’m in a brutal first round battle with my nemisis. I’m ahead right now, but both of us have players dealing with injuries. But I was able to make it work with Big Al. He won’t be on either team next season though.

@TheMuppetManiac: Nice work man! Yeah he was on my Durant team, so maybe that skewed my thoughts. I won’t be able to draft him next year though either

Beal/Oladipo is it even a question? I dropped Beal for Barnes and everyone clowned me(for some reason this happens often in fantasy world). My reasoning was I saw someone I really liked on the wire rather then wait for him to go down and be scrambling. Today they are calling me Nostrodamus. I get what you are saying about not ranking with injury(that would hurt your mind) but if you don’t consider it with every pick you will be hating it. Matchups seem everything in the finals. If you are trying to find a good shot blocker going into matchups you better pay attention to who their games are against. Vucevic at Denver is about the same as Gobert at Portland.

@HelloFelatio: Hello Mr. Fellatio! Well I was talking about for next year, in 15-16 drafts. Certainly not a question ROS, Beal is hurt and VO has been better anyway. Yeah Denver gets swatted a ton and Portland towards the bottom, but I would still take Gobert vs. anyone vs. Vuc.

@JB Gilpin: Some players can’t get blocks against teams with good ball movement and patience. Alex Len goes cold for a week and then gets 5 blocks against the lower tier teams that don’t know how to create for their teammates. Looking at Len’s numbers have you ever seen a shot blocker that had such a difficult time blocking shots?

@HelloFelatio: No I agree with you totally, if there’s guys that are close, or maybe even almost always better a shot blocker than another, matchup would be a big factor. But Gobert is such a game-changer vs. the low-ish blocks from Vuc that I think even the biggest difference in matchups I’d go Gobert.

Hah, great question! I’d guess if he had a healthy season it’d be so much more consistent. Issues with those ankles all year and always had injury problems. Tough to know if a healthy season will ever come!

can we have a personal contest next year where the I give you Gobert and take Vucevic on the nonfavorable/favorable matchup days to see who wins? It is a real small sample size and he has played a full season(most of it off the bench mind you) but I am starting to worry Gobert may be one of the shot blockers that has a hard time against the stingy teams in that cat.

@HelloFelatio: Sure man! You can be our Gobert/Len blocks odd maker and we’ll make it a segment on the Pod! Actually really like that idea
