Drop Archie for Lawson if Lawson is traded?
Other potential droppables is jokic and Dennis.
@Jake: I’m kinda worried about Jokic’s minutes, he’d be my first guy out, but a lot could change on the deadline
@Jake:
I would drop Dennis for Lawson if there’s no trade in Atlanta.
@Jake: @Jeremy: It’s close, I would say depend on team needs, Schroder was still producing as backup
@JB Gilpin:
True but aren’t Schroder and Jokic playing around the same mins assuming nothing happens. I think Jokic per-36 should be higher if playing the same mins. Fact-check me on that. haha
@Jeremy: No fact checking allowed! Hah, yeah BBmonster gives Jokic a 0.17 to -0.15 for Schroder in 9-cat. Hah looking at some of these names is crazy, #1 is Jordan Mickey! It goes Mickey, Curry, then Jeff Ayres haha. A lot of that is TO and FG% tho, and I bet Schroder plays more. Of course if you need a big, Jokic is def the hold. Although the fact Lawson might be waived makes this all moot haha
Playoffs start March 14. Butler’s injury and talk of minute restriction when back is scary. Would you bail on Jimmy for a mid-level guy like McCollum or Anderson or similar?
@John: Yup! Too risky for me, I’d take McCollum if possible…
@John @JB Gilpin: Huh, minute restriction on return?! Sorry, but I sure as hell haven’t read that anywhere. There’s a hope he returns the first week of March, which would mean he’d miss roughly 9 games from here on out, back to play 13 games. Worth holding in a shallow roto?
@Lasandro: I think it’s kinda assumed, Butler is near league-lead if not the leader in MPG, no way he plays that as soon as he’s back. Mannnn, I’d shop if you could… if you’re not getting anything I def would try my best to hold
Dude just dropped E. Gordon. Would you drop any of these guys for him? Gut says Big Fundamental.

@v00dr00: We have the same gut! Yeah I like that move
@JB Gilpin: My man was IR-eligible too! So scooped up old TD right back onto the roster! Great guts think alike they say.
@v00dr00: Haha my gut is already hungry for lunch!
My team:
Pg- rubio
Sg- lowry
G- smart
Sf- gallinari
Pf- draymond
F- aaron gordon
C- brow
Uti- d Collison
Uti- tony allen
Bench- Taj gibson
Bench- alex len
Bench- b portis
Bench- WCW
wanted to know who is my best cut candidate in the instance a FA role drastically changes due to the deadline and need to make a swap..I’m leaning towards tony Allens low upside but he could help win me steals every time considering the other thieves I have so I’m slightly hesitant..I also like the upside of my 3 young bigs but I’m not sure if they will get the playing time down the road to make them worth rostering..thoughts?
@Aldo: I think it’s Allen too, looks like you have a lot of steals to me! Rubio, Smart, WCW outta position… I think Allen is your clear first out
Kyrie Irving for 30!
@Jeremy: Nice!
Nets have someone to sign on the dotted line. Still all quiet on the western (and eastern) front.
@Slim: I figured their billionaire owner would just take over if they didn’t hire Marks haha
Got offered Nerlens & Duncan for Aaron Gordon & Matt Barnes. Would end up dropping Duncan for something in waiver i.e.: Nurkic, Chalmers, Wes Johnson… Should I do it?
Standard Yahoo 12’team h2h – fighting for last playoff spot.
Wall
RJax
G.Hill
Monta
Elfrid
KCP
Wiggins
Barnes
A.Gordon
Gobert
Favors
Gorgui
Rolo
Thanks J-Bizzle!
@Kozmonaut: Yeah I think I would, Ersan is not gonna make it easier for Gordon to get huge minutes. Getting Nerlens is def worth it. Any time!
yo Jb
if nothing good comes for schroder by the deadline can i drop him in my 10 team keeper where we keep 8?
heres whats available
Sullinger, Collison, W Johnson, N Cole, Nurkic, Ty Lawson, B Jennings, Len, Barnes or J Grant
who do you like best for a 9 cat h2h?
thx pal
@sliimbo: Whewwww, it just would suck to drop schroder then the Hawks move on from Teague in the offseason… But yeah, if you’re winning now, I would prob take Sully with Olynyk hurt
Hey JB and Slim,
Haven’t had a chance to listen to the podcast yet, but I’m sure it’ll be great as usual.
I’ve asked this previously, but E. Gordon, Carroll, and Jennings are noteworthy FAs on the waiver and I have Goodwin. Are any of them worth the drop? What about in the future?
Also, what’s the outlook for Marcus Morris and Aaron Gordon ROS?
Thanks as always!!
@That Feetwork: Thanks man, I hope so! I def wanna see what happens out of the deadline with the Suns, I’d probably hold for now, Gordon is close.
Ummm I don’t see Marcus changing much. Agordon, man it’d be annoying to see him not start, but I do think minutes take a tiny hit
Beal for 30.
@Paul: Nice!
Ouch–looks like the dream of having Teague and Schroder balling on different teams is pretty much dead…This deadline has been a bummer so far!
Feels good to have nba basketball back again though! Give me Pau to go for 30, I would guess that he’s going to play well knowing he doesn’t have to go to Sacramento haha
@jdubs: Yeah super quiet, these mini-trades happening right now aren’t even 20 team worthy! Maybe Mack gets decent run in UTA…
Pumped NBA is back too, hahaha nice call!
What are your thoughts on alex len and willie cauley steins ROS value..do you see them getting at least 30 min a game down the stretch? Their upside looks decent when given the playing time. Thanks
@steve: I would bet more on Len than WCS, that is unless Gay gets traded. If Gay is moved, it should help WCS stability. I’d probably rather own Len either way tho
Should i pick up alec burks in 16 team league? I was planning to do so but the Mack trade is making me second guess…
Look forward to your advice, JB.
@Jeremy:
Planning to drop Cauiley-stein or Lin. Who to drop for burks?
@Jeremy: Probably Lin if you needed to, butI dunno if I feel great about dropping either, pretty good back end guys for a 16er!
@Jeremy: I think I still would. Mack should push Neto for some time, but I think they’d still get Burks involved if healthy
@JB Gilpin:
you think cauiley-stein is going to have more ROS value than Lin? I have enough big men so I’m leaning toward dropping him instead of Lin for Burks
@Jeremy: Yeah I would cop out and say needs based, I like that call of losing WCS for Burks if you’re stacked up front
Anyone else feeling like this is an epis bust of a deadline?! Instead of big deals, we’re getting Brian Roberts traded in consecutive days! Haha
@JB Gilpin:
Haha, you saying Varejao is not must own right now?
@Jeremy: Hah finally a good trade! Posting below. And ummm, yeah gotta love the trade/waive move!
I’m taking Wall for 30 AGAIN. He’s gotten real close during the last few times I’ve picked him, and yeah.. Neto. Btw, I really hope that Slim knows his name isn’t pronounced “Neat-o.” Please tell me that was just a cringeworthy nickname.
Not related to the trade deadline, but can someone tell me what the hell is going on in Brooklyn? So they offer Sean Marks the GM job -> Marks turns down the job -> Prokhorov denies offering him the job and says he doesn’t even know who he is? -> Marks is the new GM of the Brooklyn Nets and Prokhorov is singing his high praises about the work he has done for the Spurs and in the NBA.
@Ryan: Copied me with the Wall pick! Haha.
And yes, it’s a nickname, although we butcher names a lot 🙂
Hah yeah I thought about that timeline too… Very odd. I have no idea, that franchise is such a mess…
Kieff to Wizards! If only Kieff and Arenas were in the same locker room… That’d go well…
@JB Gilpin: Humphires and Blair… yawn. I checked if Alex Len was available. Not so much.
@JB Gilpin: @Slim: 30% owned in Yahoo, got him in 1/4 RCLs. I’ll take it!
@jb Gilpin @slim: y’all think Len is most own again or are mirza and Tucker gonna split the 4?
Len, b wright or A Gordon from here on in?
@Lasandro: In your 9er prob not, but he’s def gotten an uptick. I’ll lean with Gordon for now, but verrrry close
with kief going, who’s better alex len or taj gibson? Is there anyone better to pickup on the suns?
@hanns: Prob Len. And nah, I don’t see a clear-cut other option, Tucker is fringy
Jeff green to the clips. Barnes must be starting now, right??
@Jake: Hah yeah I think that’s the assumption!
ESPN is saying that the Clips traded Lance for Jeff Green. If true, the Grizz will have the craziest roster in NBA history.
@Ryan: So Lance and a protected 2019 1st for Green.
@Ryan: Yeah odd deal, I guess the Grizz wanted to be sure and sell high haha. Yeah I saw David Alrdidge tweet something about bringing your popcorn, a little messy locker room!
Wright or A Gordon for solid big man stats going forward? Not sure how Ilya is gonna affect Gordon’s PT.
E Gordon or KCP, with Reke out?
Both ROS scenarios.
@Lasandro: Gordon. Birdman to play a little too, def trust Gordon for more mins. I’ll stick with KCP ROS
1. Drop Mahinmi for Leuer or mirza in a 16m?
2. Pls rank for 14m – Leuer, Mahinmi, WCS, hezonja
@Hamtime: 1. Meehhhh I dunno. If 3s/pts need, sure Mirza. 2. WCS, Mahinm, Leuer, Hezonja
Pretty new to fantasy b-ball. Keep forever league…second place but I don’t think I can overtake 1st.
My guys:
PG Curry
SG Hayward
G Bledsoe
SF D Green
PF Horford
F Drummond
C M Gasol
UT T Jones
UT Casspi
Bn Terrence Jones
Bn Will Barton
Bn Alec Burks
So I guess I may as well build for next year. Who should I look for who’s probably on waiver wire and who should I drop. In other words are there any must own(for 2017) who have been overlooked. Or should I just grab Jokic or whoever and hope for the best. Any advice appreciated. Thanks for the wisdom.
@Impending boom: by the way we will be keeping 7 for 2017.
@Impending boom: Well welcome to hoops then! Haha. Guessing it’s roto, if it really feels impossible, then sure go ahead and rebuild (also if there’s no $ involved for 2nd place 🙂 )
Jokic would be a great add, I dunno if he cracks you top 7 though. So you’re likely holding:
Curry, Hayward, Bledsoe, D Green (Draymond right?), Horford, Drummond That leaves 1 wild card, prob would be Gasol, but foot injuries are scary. I honestly think with that build, I would shop Drummond. FT% in what I’m guessing is roto is killer
@Impending boom: just saw that I forgot Rubio. Rubio should be in UT instead of T Jones who is already on bench.
@Impending boom: your soooo right FT% is killing me dead. I feel I’ll have to do something! Thanks.
@Impending boom: Ah gotcha, yeah Rubio could very easily be your 7th over Gasol, but obviously a lot depends on injury updates through the offseason.
Yup in roto, those guys are killer! I might look at the standings, and teams lowest in REB/BLK shoot them an offer giving Drummo
@JB Gilpin: perfect…yeah I will be keeping in touch
Good stuff guys, hope you enjoyed both your breaks! At least for me, that dunk contest was for sure worth missing a week of games, oh man, sooo good
For the 30pt challenge tonight I’m going with Gordon Hayward, hoping he’s pumped about the Shelvin Mack trade. Should be doable if he hits his 3s against a Wizards team that doesn’t defend well against wings/the perimeter
@The Gintern: Thanks man! Yeah, caught up on baseball a little 🙂 About to be my super busy stretch here…
Hah yeah Mack is a nice lil underrated deep league add outta all of this. I like the call!
Make another 15 mins pod cast to recap all trades right now! 😀 please? haha
@Jeremy: Haha, blame it all on me! Slim would love afternoon pods again 🙂 I’ll have a recap up/daily notes from tonight first thing in the morning 🙂
@JB Gilpin:
Sounds good, Thanks JB
George Hill Ind – PG,SG
Kawhi Leonard SA – SG,SF
Victor Oladipo Orl – PG,SG
Otto Porter Was – SF
Derrick Favors Uta – PF,C
Tobias Harris Det – SF,PF
Nikola Vucevic Orl – PF,C
Serge Ibaka OKC – PF,C
With the recent changes on the trade any insights on anything I need to do from my current crop that will improve my outlook for playoffs.. currently standing at 1st
Marcus Smart Bos – PG
Karl-Anthony Towns Min – C
Ryan Anderson NO – PF,C
James Harden Hou – SG,SF
Paul Millsap Atl – PF,C
@cedric: Yeah looks like a solid roster! I don’t think anyone made enough of a change to warrant adding, I think your AST might be a tad low, but that’s it
Hey, JB! Markieff or Bazemore ros?
@Jerry: I’ll go upside of Kieff changing scenery
Continue stashing Carroll in a 16m or drop for Leuer?
@Hamtime: Ummmm, Telet and Len still block him, if you don’t need the production desperately I would keep stashing
I’m going with you JB, my jazz have no shot of stopping Wall tonight. Give me Wall for 30
@Viz: Nice! It’s in the 3rd but halfway home!
Thoughts on these deals:
My Jimmy Butler for his:
A. Rudy Gay
B. T Young
C. IT2
Please rank or hold??
@John: I’m def doing all 3. Probably ranked C, A, B
I was hoping the deadline would be as crazy as last season, but mehhh… BORINGGG. The PISTONS are the clear winners amarite? Tobias COULD have a very nice year with DET in 2017, but that’s lightyears away still. Hah
@Dante Green:
So I got an interesting offer: Gallo & Moose for my Gobert. I could argue that ‘I’m gonna lose all those blocks!’ but Meh, Gobert hasn’t been blocking like crazy this season. Though the 2ble-2bles are nice, he’ still only averaging 2.4 bpg, very far from the almost 3 a game-guy we projected him to be. Am I hard to please or his blocking’s just underwhelming this season? I mean Whiteside’s averaging almost 4 a game…… I want to counter the offer with Favors+1 for Gallo and Moose but I don’t think the guy is interested in Favors. Oh God I’ll do whatever it takes to get rid of Favors. Seriously, he’s one of the most annoying players to own. FG has become somewhat unacceptable. Arghh, I just fucking hate the guy. This is why I’m hesitant to let go of Gobert, I’m like “Can you take Favors instead?” Lol. I’ll talk to some people in my league and try to offer them Favors first. If I have a taker and could finally move Favors, I’d then go and accept the Gobert trade.
@Dante Green: I know, right?! Such a stinker..
Yeah I would say Pistons and Wiz, which is a boring answer too since they brought in the two biggest names haha.
Agree, his blocks haven’t been as strong as we woulda hoped. I still think you lose a big chunk of BLK if you do it though. While gaining in a lot of other cats.
Haha yeah sounds like a plan to shop Favors first!
@JB Gilpin:
Hah! I wonder how well Kief can coexist with his new teammates. I hope he doesn’t put his hand around Nene’s neck tho…. lol
Yea, those blocks tho! Would you do Favors for Dbook+Mturner?
@Dante Green: Hah lets hope Kieff can play nice! And wow, yeah I have no issue with that move! I lovvvvve Myles Turner
12 team, 10 cat, standard league
Zach Lavine
Avery Bradley
Kyle Korver
Paul Millsap
Paul George
Nicolas Batum
Jahlil Okafor
Kristaps Porzingis
Andrew WIggins
Myles Turner
WIll Barton
Brandon Jennings
Terrence Jones
IL Mirotic
Should I trade away Wiggins for Rose?
Myles Turner and Tjones for Omri Casspi and Jeff Green?
Myles Turner for markieff or matt barnes
Jahlil okafor for markieff and matt barnes
@Timothy: Wiggins picking up some BLK lately, less TO, I would prob hold. Def not trading for Jeff Green, he took a hit. Myles seems to fit ya well, I’m def good moving Jahlil for Kieff, that’s my clear favorite if taken
great pod guys.
i am badly in need of steals and assists in a 16 team 9 cat league, though i’m also in need of production being outside of playoff spots. i’ve been holding out grabbing an available shane larkin just yet for streaming and getting production — does the new GM for the Nets bode well for Larkin’s playing time? or it doesn’t make much of a difference?
as always, appreciate it.
@patrickindo: bayless just dropped. bayless, shelvin mack or shane larkin current production and rest of season outlook, what do ya think?
@patrickindo: Thanks man! Hmmm interesting thought on Larkin, hadn’t thought about the GM trying to tinker. He’s probably the guy I’d hold though, for upside and he’s usually a good STL guy which fits
Sup’ JB
DEAD TRADELINE, what a let down, and of course, one of the biggets deals, my Jeff Green, from clear no. 2 or 3 option in Memphis, to the Clippers..I dropped him for Bazemore instantly.
What is up with my man Taj. I just love him as a player, ever since he murdered Wade in ECF, he’s so hard working, and gives his everything for the team, but it’s just not translating to fantasy numbers. I’m torned apart with him, the Bulls have saucy playoff schedule and he’ll play around 30 minutes even with Mirotic back.
Who will benefit the most now in the Suns rotation upfront, they should just shut down Chandler with some fake ass injury and let Len spread his wings.
@Melo: Sup man, yup it was a snoozer. Yup totally with that add/drop. Well Taj def has some injury concern though, I’m not particularly huge on him. Mins should indeed be there, but he doesn’t consistently do enough for me.
Len def benefits the most, they might wanna keep seeing if he can play next to Tyson though, since Tyson is on that 4-yr deal. So I think they’ll keep playing guys around him to get familiarity, ain’t no one trading for Tyson haha
