    Drop any player/s for T Jones/Teletovic?

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@Eric: I’ve got Teletovic as just a streamer. I’ve got your 4 worst as Marvin, the Barnsi, and I assume Rob Covington. Yes I would take Jones over each and I would rank them… Matt, Marvin, Rob, Harry. So yeah give me Jones for Harrison and stream Teletovic for Covington if you so desire.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Eric: @Slim: I might Teletovic over Marvin instead of dropping Barnes

  2. Ankur says:
    (link)

Listening to the POD. I mma go out on a limb and assume theres a 30 point challenge. I mma go out on another limb and say Jimmy Butler.

I mma keep saying Jimmy Butler for the rest of the season until I WIN.

    • Ankur says:
      (link)

@Ankur: Also season long, would you drop Cody Zeller, Rolo for Terrence Jones?? I feel like Zeller and Rolo are going to keep producing and even if Jones gets consistent minutes, his production may not be that much above and beyond what these guys are offering. Thoughts?

      • Slim

        Slim says:
        (link)

@Ankur: I think Jones has more upside than Zeller and I’ve got RoLo a smidge higher than Zeller since Cody more than likely has to deal with the return of Jefferson at some point.

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@Ankur: Yep, we’re on the same limb. But it is a very sturdy limb.

Or until Butler becomes a top 10 scorer. Could happen.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Ankur: @Slim: Haha well Butler is quickly approaching a top-10 scorer so it might not last all yr! Hah I didn’t even see Slim’s final thing! Great minds… I would probably hold your two guys, Tjones minutes are too waffley

        • Ankur says:
          (link)

          @JB Gilpin:

Thanks Both! Appreciate the love. Heading to a ‘Pub’ now – for this evenings festivities with some warm ale.

    JB! Hope all is good.

Would you pick up Amir and drop any of the following? 12 team 9 cat, trading impossible

    Covington
    Ryan Anderson
    Barton

    Thanks!

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@jcg: phew… Yeah I’ll lose Covington if big man is a need. If it isn’t then I would hold. Such a different set of stats they give.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@jcg: @Slim: Hey man, hope all is well with you too! Yeah I’d lose Covington for virtually any scenario

  4. Matty

    Matty says:
    (link)

So JB has Klay and Slim has Jimmy Buckets for 30-point challenge?

Let’s go off the radar a bit and take Rodney Hood to catch fire at home against the Kangz.

Happy Thursday, fellas. Enjoy the extended day of hoops starting at 3pm! (Thank you, London!)

    • Ankur says:
      (link)

@Matty: Dont be hatin on London!! The first game on a weekday ALL SEASON – thats at a reasonable hour!

      • Matty

        Matty says:
        (link)

@Ankur: Who’s hatin’ on London? It’s on my short list of places to travel to next. I’m stoked for the 3pm’er featuring my Raps…and I’ll be home to watch it! I got nothin’ but love for London and the NBA for scheduling a game for 3pm on the east coast of North America and noon out west.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Matty: Yeah I’ve never been… Would love some legit fish and chips!

    • Slim

      Slim says:

@Matty: Hood could happen. Yep, I’m quitting early to watch some afternoon basketball. It so rarely happens.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Matty: Whoaaaaaa, ballsy! And yeah, @Ankur: good point guys, at least there’s a fun game to watch πŸ™‚ @Slim:

  5. dom says:
    (link)

for Sunday, should I stream Leuer (@MIN), Dieng (PHO), or Capela (@LAL)? it’s close in every cat at the moment

Mike Conely was dropped in my 10 team, is he worth an add?

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@dom: Hmm… I’ll go with Gorgui. And yes Conley should be owned in a 10er. He’s going to try real hard to make it back and I have no fear of a shutdown since they are a playoff team.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@dom: @Slim: I’m gonna take Capela. In my 7 ahead I hypothized that Dwight could sit even though it’s a “revenge” game since they go b2b and should win that one. On top of it, Lakers suck against big men. Even though I ranked conley poorly, he’s def a must-own

        • dom says:
          (link)

@JB Gilpin: thanks JB, I also like Capela. Will probably wait until closer to sunday to assess my needs. But I no longer have a streaming roster spot, as I detailed above to Slim. Could I get your opinion on what I wrote?

      • dom says:
        (link)

@Slim: thanks slim. so I’ve had several streaming roster spots in this 10 teamer that over time have evolved into Conley, Ish Smith, George Hill, Rodney Hood, Crowder, and Wes Matthews, all of whom should probably be owned. But now I have no streaming spot, which I value highly in this league. I really like Smith’s game, Crowder and Hill are no brainer holds, and I really like Smith’s game. That leaves Hood and Matthews, whose skill sets overlap. And Conley. If I really felt the need to free up a roster spot again, who would be the drop?

        • dom says:
          (link)

@dom: ha oops did I mention I really like Smith’s game? I don’t like it enough to warrant saying twice, but he is super quick and I like watching him throw lobs to Nerlens and he has a lot of opportunity on that team etc

          • JB Gilpin

            JB Gilpin says:
            (link)

@dom: Gotcha, I think Hood is the clear last guy for me. Health hurts his ROS outlook as he gets banged up easy and will be up and down. Def liking Ish Smith too, he could end up being pickup of the year in many leagues. Totally good losing Hood and streaming up until Sunday – Capela.

  6. Good STUFF says:
    (link)

In a dynasty league would you trade Harden, Porzingis, Tyreke for Durant, Horford, Dragic?

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@Good STUFF: Nope I would not. Yes Durant is the best player but Horford’s age compared to the Goose throws this way off for me.

      • Good STUFF says:
        (link)

@Slim: hmmm good point, he was willing to swap dragic for clarkson if I swap Tyreke for Oladipo. I guess Horford’s age is still the tie breaker?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Slim: @Good STUFF: I might like that swap even less than the original, given Oladipo’s age and Reke’s age/injuries. I’m holding too

          • Good STUFF says:
            (link)

@JB Gilpin: yeah I was leaning towards holding too. I am a little worried about tyreke getting shut down or hurt again. Given this, is it worth trading him for lesser value like Collison, D’angelo or hold

            • JB Gilpin

              JB Gilpin says:
              (link)

@Good STUFF: D’Angelo in a dynasty, definitely. Collison is close… Might hold there if you’re a competitive team right now

              • Poisonous Stuff says:
                (link)

@JB Gilpin: Yeah.. currently in 3rd place, but 3rd-8th are all just couple wins apart…..

                • JB Gilpin

                  JB Gilpin says:
                  (link)

@Poisonous Stuff: Nice! Yeah would hold Reke for Colly, but youth and upside for D’Angelo is worth it

  7. hamtime says:
    (link)

    1. trade my teague for kmid?

    2. stupidly dropped tjones (before he had the games of his life) for markieff. UGH

    3. would you rather own larkin, crabbe, or nance?

    4. drop shabazz for myles turner (16m)?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@hamtime: 1. Sure 2. Haha damnnnnn, well Markieff still has trade upside 3. Still Larkin. Signs of life last game 4. Meh, if REB/BLK were needs I guess, but prob not

  8. miles proudfoot says:
    (link)

Haha I’m excited but also feel a bit of trepedation to see what that quote means.

So I have Drummond and he’s obviously obliterating my teams ft%. I could try to trade him, or just go all in on the punt and try to get a deandre Jordan type. My problem is bc of the horrible ft% the yahoo ranking is skewed and I’m having a bit of trouble figuring out a fair trade offer.

If you were to try and trade Drummond, Or trade for Deandre, Gobert or white side, what β€œround value” player would you need to give up? Gobert and white side seem a little more straight forward though. Was thinking of trying to package Ryan Anderson plus one…

    Thank you!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@miles proudfoot: Hahahaha it’s not as bad as it sounds πŸ™‚ But glad the random pulled quote is making some laughs. Yeah it’s tough, what makes hoops so different than other fantasy sports, the Yahoo value is meaningless in the context of your team. I’d want 3rd round-ish talent for Drum. DeAndre maybe 5thish, Gobert and Whiteside 2ndish. I’d be going for Gobert first given I think a lower price right now. If your big man stats have been really good, I would just trade Drum away. If it’s just been OK, then yeah getting one of those others would be my plan. Hope that helps!

  9. Mic C says:
    (link)

Man I’m such a rosterbater especially Cuz ive been hovering around 7-9th all year. 12 team keeper who would you pair with Brow and zinger: drummond or blake, I have drummond but pretty sure I can swing a deal for blake. Since brow is so fragile I like the idea of 3 stud bigs and then I can focus on guards in the draft.
    Thanks guys

    • Mic C says:
      (link)

@Mic C: or I suppose I could go after someone like gobert but I like blakes points and assists. I don’t know drummond is so damn good but losing FT every week just sucks. But I also win Rebs every week so it’s kind of a wash.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Mic C: hah I def rosterbate as well… I’d def go for Blake, no reason to hurt your FT% when you have two good FT shooting bigs already. Plus your BLK should be solid. Yeah Blake fits better than Gobert too…

  10. Kevin says:
    (link)

Give me Klay Thompson for 30 tonight

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Kevin: Nice, was mine too, let’s do this Klay!

  11. jdubs says:
    (link)

You guys sound super worried about Nurk! According to rotoworld Nurkic himself said it’s not a big deal…do you think he’s still worth holding in 14 teamers? I’m not sure whether I’m ready to give up on him just yet!

and give me K-lowry for the 30 point challenge–I want that instant gratification with his game starting at 12 pm here on the west coast! haha

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@jdubs: Well, off such a major knee injury that took a while to heal, it’s no bueno, especially since they’ll likely hold him out if he’s gimpy at all. Hah nice on Lowry! I hope he likes England haha

  12. Kostas says:
    (link)

Hello,im in a 11 team 9cat roto league and in need of AST.I’m in talks currently for the following trade:Give Vucevic and Hayward, get Lillard and Thaedeus Young.I know i dont get that many more assist but im afraid that hayward will drop in production when favors returns..Your thoughts?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Kostas: Well Hayward was kinda meh a lot of games even with Favors hurt. I like the deal a tonnnnn for you regardless, getting Lillard there would be awesome!

      • Kostas says:
        (link)

        @JB Gilpin:

Thanks for the always timely replies much appreciated:)

          @Kostas: Any time!

  13. Matty

    Matty says:
    (link)

Bah! I just realized that I won “Dipshit of the Day” yesterday for forgetting about setting my RCL lineup. Had open slots and sitting inactive on my bench were:

    Damian Lillard – 21/7/10/2/1 (4 treys)
    Cody Zeller – 19/10/1/1/3 (6-10 FGs, 7-8 FTs)

    Woops.

JB – it appears as though you’re paying me far too much to represent Razzball. Haha

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Matty: Yikes! Well I’ve missed a couple days here and there too. Holidays and one this week as I was doing baseball prep for the baseball podcast. Hoops is a grind!

  14. Tim says:
    (link)

is lavine or mudiay worth owning in 9cat 12ers? I’m streaming DBook, Barnes, Chalmers, Manu right now (got a heavy stream team after drafting kief and tjones lol)

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Tim: Manu is maybe cuttable for them, but nah I’d likely stream

  15. Lucas says:
    (link)

hey JB, which side do you prefer? lowry and fournier or ellis and wall

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Lucas: I’ll take Ellis and Wall

      • Lucas says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: and what about favors and collison for pau gasol and zeller?

        • Lucas says:
          (link)

@Lucas: this thing with his back is getting a bit odd..

          • JB Gilpin

            JB Gilpin says:
            (link)

@Lucas: Yeah Favors’ back is scaring me, I’ll lean Pau side, but it’s really close

  16. Shaun says:
    (link)

Hey man…what would be the value changes of a ry Anderson/gay trade (real life trade). As the trade deadline approaches, do you mind writing posts on potential trades that may happen and the changes in value of the players involved/ players that will step up.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Shaun: We can definitely speculate in comments, but full articles on trade rumors I’m not too huge on since there’s always rumors and 90% of our guesses will be wrong haha. I’d think Ryno would stay about the same, I’d like the boost for Gay though, I think he would get an uptick

  17. Ryan says:
    (link)

So Slim and a couple commenters are sticking with Butler til he scores 30 eh? I’m going to stick to picking Lakers opposition because everyone is a threat for 30 against them. I’m taking Klay for 30!

    • Ryan says:
      (link)

Whoops, completely forgot about the early London game. I guess my pick doesn’t count then… Anyways, alert the presses, there has been a Robert Covington sighting, and the Sixers took the Bulls to OT???

      • Ryan says:
        (link)

Woah. I only knew about Covington and the OT because I just checked my scoreboard. I just found out that Jimmy had 53 point O.O

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Ryan: Ugh yeah Thompson failed and Butler almost doubled 30 pts! Ugh. Nah your guess would be good, I think as long as it’s one guess per night and before that player starts it’s all good πŸ™‚

Yeah Covington I just wrote this morning is must own in all 10+ leagues. Seems like they were artificially holding him back

  18. Patty Mills Is My Homeboy says:
    (link)

    Legends,

It’s late mail again but I’ll take Hayward for 30.

Also got Gorgui, CJ Miles, Mudiay, Schroder, A Gordon, Danny Green on waivers.

My team is pretty solid across the board but could do with some counting stats. Would you pick up any for a hold or just keep streaming. 10 team, 9 cat, H2H, 14 roster.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Patty Mills Is My Homeboy: Aw thanks man! I dunno if I’m a legend yet, I’ll be fine as just a consistent starter for now haha. Man, some must-own guys for me, mainly Covington. I’d say him and Miles should be owned. I def like to have streaming room, but Covington I think is certainly a hold

  19. justin says:
    (link)

in a 12 person, 9 cat h2h. is marcus morris a drop now? hes really destroyin my fg% and turnovers.

    • Justin says:
      (link)

@justin: also can you evaluate this trade: Paul George and gobert for Eric Gordon, horford, oladipo

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Justin: I’d likely hold, and the To haven’t been thattttt ba just the horrible game yesterday. Poor shooting lately is def no good, but he should be a little better. Love Horford, but I would def take PG13 side

  20. Dante Green says:
    (link)

I’m laughing at myself for streaming the wrong players for two consecutive days. Hah. First it was LaVine, now Portis. I mean you can’t always hit the jackpot with streaming. I got lucky with Gergreen last week, a day stream that became a 2-week long one, and Dieng a few days ago. But unfortunately, my streams this week were all misses! Haha. I knew I shoulda gone for The Lord but I was looking for somebody with good rebounding rate and I didn’t need Cov’s treys bcoz Gergreen and Lillard can manage that. It’s all good tho. Haha

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Dante Green: Yikes, yeah portis I woulda been all for thinking th Bulls would be better against the Sixers, but without Rose or Pau they struggled… why they’re on the wire, not consistent enough!

  21. Michael says:
    (link)

    enjoyed your pod cast
eric Gordon will destroy you one day and completely turn you around the next
need some blocks and rebounds. I am rolling in 3rd in my league. I have to drop one player and I am thinking of dropping jared sullinger. I am in 9 cat rotor. My wings and guards are deep, just need a source for blocks and rebounds but sullinger seems way too inconsistent and I have to drop one

pg- chris paul, damian lillard, Darren coillison, elfred payton
sg-sf-jimmy butler, Robert Covington, eric Gordon, danilo gallinari, Gianni antetekumpo, Evan Fournier, Aaron affalo, michael Kidd gilhurst (IL)
Pf-c- nerlens noel, Roy Hilbert, andrew bout, markeif Morris

    • draco21 says:
      (link)

@Michael: You don’t drop sulli. You drop hibbert.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Michael: @draco21: Thanks for listening! Yup, Gordon can def be up and down…

Yeah I’m def holding Sully. I’d rather drop Hibbert indeed, or Markieff or Afflalo. I actually think Afflalo makes the most sense to block, you have nice scoring and 3s so don’t really need him

  22. Adam says:
    (link)

who would you pick up off the waiver, fournier or matt barnes?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Adam: Probably Fournier, but seems needs based. If needing D stats in STL and BLK and REB might go Barnes for those cats
