    Heyo,

    12 teamer

and gimmie Pau for 30 tonight.

    Thanks!

@J: Ugh… I’m not a huge Booker fan, but tough to hold Covington. i might play Covington tonight, if he’s awful then make the move, if he bounces back then hold

Hey! Would you let me know your thoughts on the following trades…I’m proposing them so also let me know if you think they’re low balls if you dint mind and I’ll up it a bit. Thank you as always!

    1. My kemba and brow for his harden and Millsap.
    2. My kemba and Dieng (or replace with better player) for his Butler.
    3. My dragic and wiggins for his Reggie Jackson.
    4. My dragic and wiggins for his Brendan knight.
    5. My Portis for his Nurkic.

@miles proudfoot: Yo! 1. Seems fair, I’d prob rather take Harden side but close enough. 2. Like it for you but close enough 3. Prob will get denied quick but I think it’s fair. 4. This is 100% fair and I might not even so it. 5. seems even Any time!

    6. My Kemba and Wiggins/KCP/porter for Westbrook…

@Jeremy: Hmmmm, I might Rolo right now

      • Ankur says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: I Rolo’ed too. Struggled between Nurkic and Rolo this morning (5 am London Time) – but just had to roll with the Rolo cuase cant have another injury prone dude on the roster!

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Jeremy: @Ankur: Yeah minutes will def swing the scales to Rolo, especially with now Pek in the mix. Sadly

      • Jeremy says:
        (link)

        @JB Gilpin:

        What about season outlook?

        and what about
        1.) larkin or lopez?
        2.) larkin or deing?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Jeremy: Still Rolo in ROS, mayyyyybe Nurk plays the same minutes down the road, but they’ll be cautions. Both of those trades are totally needs based, i’d probably own Larkin in a vacuum

  6. Clyde Prompto says:

Howdy, JB. How would you rank Danny Green, Aaron Gordon, Meyers Leonard, Terrance Jones, Zach Lavine, and Alex Len as stash guys? Please and thanks.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Clyde Prompto: Yo dude! Let’s go Tjones (hopeful trade), LaVine (unleashed), D Green, Gordon, Len, leonard. Any time!

      • Clyde Prompto says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Is it just me, or are there a bunch of teams with too many starting-caliber players and not enough spots and a bunch of other teams that only have 3 or 4 legit rotation players? These players need to be redistributed more evenly for fantasy purposes. I’m ALL IN on NBA communism.

        • JB Gilpin

    2. should i drop jordan hill for – pek, m turner, mudiay (yuck), kevmart? same 16m league

        (link)

@hamtime: 1. Sure 2. Mehhhhh I don’t think so 3. Nah I’d hold a little longer 4. Bazemore maybe, but that’s the only one, if it fits

  8. Hamtime says:

Sorry, last for the day. My Wade + dieng for Gallo + Bazemore. Who wins?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@Hamtime: Wade’s played well, but I would go Gallo side, I worry about Wade’s games played down stretch, although Gallo I know how risk too

Gimme Gordan Hayward to bust out and drop 30+ on the Rockettes tonight. He hasn’t topped 30 since late-November, and I’m hoping he comes out aggressive after getting destroyed in San Antone last night.

    Question:

I’m struggling to pull the trigger on a deal in my roto dynasty 12 x 20players league. The offer on the table is:

    Receive Lebron/Portis/Parsons
Give Bledsoe/Gallinari/Marcus Morris/Tyson Chandler (and 2 minor future 2nd round picks in rookie drafts)

Definitely helps me now, and I like to consolidate, but I worry Gallo and Bledsoe are elite for the next decade. Would certainly help me this year, as I’ve slumped sans Bledsoe, but am still clinging to the top spot as my steal and assist rates have taken a huge hit. Should I do it?

    Thanks for the advice!

    • Jeremy says:
      (link)

      @Jim:

i think getting portis back is pretty good deal in dynasty, plus lebron gonna go for another 5 years at least.

Gallo and bledsoe are both injury prone tho.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Jim: @Jeremy: Whew that’s a doozy. I hate giving up the picks is my biggest qualm with it. It already hurts your future enough with just the main haul, I’d try and hold those picks, or negotiate them down a bit

  11. Dorian S. says:
    (link)

BTW, you were right on the extension. He got it on December 11th, 2015.

Thinking I’m going to try moving Lowry & Ginobili for Towns & Portis. Would this be a good trade?
With Draymond, Giannis and Porzingis (oh my!) I think adding Towns would give me like the best young bigs in nearly any league. It is in concerns to the league and team I mentioned before (that I’m doing terrible with). Sorry, I’d post more but I just realized I need to leave! Sorry!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Dorian S.: Thanks yeah I was pretty sure on that.

Oh definitely! Towns could be drafted ahead of Lowry as soon as lets say 17-18. Doubt it for next year. No worries, glad you could stop by!

      • Dorian S. says:
        (link)

        @JB Gilpin:
Not sure what you mean by doubt it next year. Little confused by that. I’m assuming you mean I won’t get a chance to nab Towns.

Well, I added Kobe Bryant to the deal and trying to get Devin Booker back in exchange. Another type of salary related deal if Booker indeed gets to play more. Just sent it so we’ll see what happens. I’m hopeful, though I’m sure the team I’m trying to get Towns from knows how good he is.

      • Lasandro says:
        (link)

@Dorian S: Think he means that he doubts that KAT will be drafted BEFORE Lowry next year in drafts.

        • Dorian S. says:
          (link)

          @Lasandro:

Hahah. Okay this would be my bad. Thought I mentioned this was my salary cap league, and I see I didn’t specifically say that. Neither player would be drafted at all as a result of this.

If I can’t Towns and unless I get a sweeter deal for Lowry, I’ll probably be going with Draymond, Giannis and Porzingis (oh my!) as contracts signed. Along with Lowry that is.

If I do swing Towns, it’ll give me a great starting 4 for the next 3 years (the longest we can sign someone). I also have players like Stanley Johnson who I’m hoping would stick around in the 10-15 market so I could make a “5 man rotation” as they have potential for next season(s).

Though I just now realized I’m dead last. I have a legitimate chance of drafting Ben Simmons. Wow. Okay, now I’ve got to plan a lot of things out. Like more tan-<__>

          You read nothing!!!

        • Lasandro says:
          (link)

          @Dorian: Haha nothing, indeed!

          • JB Gilpin

            JB Gilpin says:
            (link)

@Dorian S.: @Lasandro: Hah yeah Las is right, that’s what I meant 🙂 Lowry likely ADP ahead of Towns for 16-17. I just meant that comp as a value-assessment, in that Towns should be more valuable by then. Yeah it’s def nice having youth to work in in those leagues! Plus adding Simmons mmmmmm

            • Dorian says:
              (link)

              Yeah. Thanks Lasandro.

@JB Gilpin:Good to know. Sadly, I the opposing guy didn’t take the deal, so I’ll just have to straight up ask for Towns while offering my 3 players I think. Probably still won’t get it, since he refused the last time, but we’ll see. As I probably was asking for too much with my original deal.

Though I run into particular problem now. If I want to keep my draft pick so that I can draft Ben Simmons, I need to keep my 1st round draft pick which is at a cost of 35 of the hard cap. So I only have 130 cash to work with for my cap. I say that simply because everyone would spend part of their soft cap only if I give up on Simmons just so they can get him.

Lowry and Draymond cost 40 a piece as they are Top 25. Towns would as well. Before you ask, we also count TOs and FLs which boost Towns’ ranking. Giannis and Kristaps cost 35 a piece. This would mean, I’d be spending 110-115. So not only would I need to move someone, but I’d need to not take back someone as well. So I’m possibly look for picks.

So gotta pick 3 only for the team up with Simmons. FFFFFFF-Fudge muffins.

              • JB Gilpin

                JB Gilpin says:
                (link)

@Dorian: Yeah sounds like KAT is a tough add. Yeah makes sense, I might package Lowry+something for a really cheap contribute and get you under than soft cap as well

  12. runfast says:
    (link)

Out of these three players who do you feel will be the most productive with the amount of time they are playin: Jennings, Gibson, deangelo, mason plumlee? Jennings I feel like should get more mins down the stretch, but he’s probably on some restriction at the moment. Gibson has been getting the most minutes even before Noah went down, however he is like the 5th option on the team limiting his touches even more. Deangelo should be playing more down the stretch of the season but I don’t think he will ever get more than 25 mins because of Lou will and clarkson and it feels like Byron hates him haha. Mason is hard to read, I like the ast and blocks however is he only going to play 23 mins a night?

I have a punt ft but I am looking for ast/blk as I have literally only 3 bugs but one is injured haha. My three bigs are the beasts of favors and deandre and favors. For some reason I am still not winning blocks consistently lol. Maybe the favors injury has something to do with it?

I’m also considering adding mahinmi but I’m not sure who to drop haha

    12 tm 9 cat

Curry, kemba, Rubio, clarkson, Larkin, Jennings
    Matthews, Fournier, bazemore, beal
    Deandre, Drummond, favors

    Thank you!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@runfast: Wait, that’s 4 players! I think D’Angelo has the most upside, and def think he plays over 30 mins in the second half. There will be a lot less Kobe too, I know Kobe is playing a lot of SF, but it will help touches and usage. But with the need, I think Plumlee kinda has to be your guy, great fit with the FT punt. Ah Mahinmi fits well too. Yeah Favors hurt and no real help from anyone else is hurting blocks. I think Jennings goes for Mahinmi. Any time!

  13. dom says:
    (link)

BoJa BogDon trending up, Marvin Williams trending down, leaning Bojan (@DET) as a Saturday stream in a closely contested 9 cat. Or should I give his teammate Shane Larkin another shot, after his first doo doo game as starter I cut him

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@dom: Def get Larkin back! Much better in start 2

      • dom says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: I don’t need a shortstop! I may take that advice but what is he good at? 6-7 dimes a game with not much else seems like best case scenario. His team sucks

        • dom says:
          (link)

@dom: also in my deep 12er should I drop Trevor Booker or Tyson Chandler to make room for Gobert’s return (woo!) ? Will Booker be pretty marginalized now or does he still have value with Favors out?

          • dom says:
            (link)

@dom: Nevermind about the above question but for next week in a 10 cat (OREB), pick up Jared Dudley, Brandon Bass, Steven Adams (4 games) or Ed Davis (3)? Thanks a lot dude!

            • JB Gilpin

              JB Gilpin says:
              (link)

@dom: Haha, no he could push for elite in STL. Plus hit treys. Hah well sometimes we get great fantasy assets on bad teams! Mehhh I’d probably lose Tyson. Both are likely cut candidates though. Hmmm Bass is interesting with hibbert so terrible. Likely taking extra game of Adams though. Any time!

  14. Steve Stevenson says:
    (link)

Points league, my team’s pretty good so I tend toward stashes on the bench (with maybe a rotation slot for 4-game weeks). Currently the bench is:

    G – T. Burke, Bogdanovic
    F – Portis, A. Gordon

Available G are D. Booker, Bradley and Danny Green; F are Jokic, JR Smith and James Johnson. Make any moves, or hold?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Steve Stevenson: Gotcha, well def leaving your F you have. You have the best stashes for sure. I think Bradley is a better stash than BoBo for me

  15. The Gintern says:
    (link)

Finally caught up on all the posts I missed while I was away on vacation, hope you guys had a good holiday! Chalk me up for Hayward tonight too – he’s been cold the past couple nights, think he bounces back tonight especially playing versus Harden’s rest time.

Was just proposed the following, and was curious about your thoughts. His ZBo for my Covington, think I have to accept, right? 16 team 9 cat roto, rest of the squad is:

McCollum, Tony Parker, Colly, Larkin, LaVine
    Redick, Otto Porter, Korver, DeMarre
    Favors, Vala, Gortat, Nance, Bookworm

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@The Gintern: Thanks man, thanks for listening! Man, Hayward fever is out tonight! Yeah, I think you do it and looks like one more big would be welcome on your team

      • The Gintern says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Pulled the trigger, thinking about offering ZBo, LaVine, and Carroll for Avery Bradley and either the Duchess or Conley. Either of those trades appealing to you? Thanks for the advice as always!

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@The Gintern: Yeah def either of those would be nice, although with no IL Carroll is prob a drop. Rather get Conley since you could use PG, but either would be nice. Any time!

  16. miles proudfoot says:
    (link)

You got me up top but I made a mistake with one of my questions. Wow multitasking at work and I made the mistake here…priorities are out of whack!

How do you feel about my Brow and Kemba for his Curry and millsap? Currys a bit banged up so hope this could be a good time to give it a go. I’m more than fine with blocks, could use some threes and assists with Bledsoe going down.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@miles proudfoot: Hah I mistake in comments all the time too while answering at work! Yeah deffff taking Curry side, it’s not an outlandish offer, but I would love if he took it!

  17. jcg says:
    (link)

    JB!

I see you recommend giving Covington one more game to get back on track. What do you think about him compared to these guys for ROS:

    Withey
    Mirza
    Chalmers
    Amir
    PJ Tucker
    Olynyk

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@jcg: Yo! Yeah today with it an off schedule night it makes sense to cross your fingers. Ummmm, Tucker should be close, Olynyk might be close, kinda doubt the other 4 would be close in value in a vacuum. Covington with all the upside makes it tough to drop for any of those

  18. jdubs says:
    (link)

Yeah I feel a bit dirty for picking Klay but hey, you take advantage of opportunities when you can get them! Just like Doc had the chance to let McCollum play last night and said no…don’t hate the players hate the game haha

Anyways, I worked out my Jimmy Butler/Parsons/Zeller for Lillard/Batum/Carroll hours before Carroll got his knee scoped in my 14 team h2h 9 cat no IR…talk about bad luck! Barring a miracle veto, do you really think I should drop Carroll pretty much as soon as I get him?

so with my roster gutted by the trade and injuries and overall bad play, I’m at a crossroads. Currently in 10th but sitting within a handful of games of the 5/6 seeds. Looking at my team (post trade), do you have any recommendations for how to go forward? I think I’m still a punt fg% team but with all the injuries I don’t even know anymore.

    Teague
    Pbev
    Elfrid (inj)
    Lillard (on the rise? hopefully?)
batum (injured, but I have high hopes)
    Covington (plays like he’s injured)
    Sully
    taj
    Nurk (he’s baaaack)
    Gobert(he’s almost baaaaack)
    Favors (inj)
    Tyreke (Inj)
    Carroll. (inj)

Some interesting players on the waiver: Mirza, Olynyk, Schroder. Any of these guys worth picking up?

Sorry for the long post but lady luck hasn’t been too good to this squad. Oh! and give me Sweet Lou Williams for the 30 point challenge. Thanks!

    • Jdubs says:
      (link)

@jdubs: Mirza is gone, but other intriguing prospects: James Johnson tjones off waivers in a couple days stanjo

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Jdubs: Haha well Klay was the solid pick, not your fault for picking the right one! Even with Carroll out, I think it’s a right trade for you. I think I’d be fine if it went through then I would lose Carroll. I think I’d add Olynyk for Carroll. Gives you a nice lock on BOS mins. With health you should be much better!

  19. Ryan says:
    (link)

Not enough time to listen to the pod today, but gimme Rudy Gay for the 30 point challenge. Sac town is playing the Loss Angeles Lakers! There are so many guys questionable to play in this game and I think we might see some fireworks.

    • Ryan says:
      (link)

Well pretty much every questionable player played, and one of them (Kobe) is about to close in on 30. This game has been eventful though. The Kings must have had a 30 point lead and pissed it all away with a few minutes to go. The first half they played was beautiful basketball; the second half has just been.. ugly.

      • Ryan says:
        (link)

The final few minutes were pretty fun to watch, but man I was actually angry watching that lead disappear like that.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Ryan: Def saw fireworks! Lots of guys got really close to 30 indeed! Hah yeah Kings almost coughed it up, but held on. I was mostly mad at the Collison minutes!

  20. Kevin says:

30 point challenge, give me Butler! Got close last time with Pau

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@Kevin: If dimes counted he was close! haha, finally cooled off…

  21. AC says:
    (link)

    Hey JB!

I have a 7-game first place cushion in my 12-team league, but I just lost Bledsoe for the season, Favors is down, and Hibbert is playing like Hibbert. My remaining guys aren’t playing well, and I’m slipping a bit.

I was hanging on to Lawson for the long-haul in case he got traded, but with these nagging injuries and now a 3-game suspension for his July DUI, I’m not sure if it’s worth it to hang on to him. Do you think the upside is high enough to hang onto him or should I cut bait?

Players available on the waiver wire:
    -Taj Gibson
    -Mason Plumlee
    -Patrick Beverley
    -Jameer Nelson
    -Joakim Noah
    -Ray Felton
    -Gary Harris
    -Garrett Temple

    Thanks!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@AC: Ugh yeah some tough injuries there. Def losing Lawson and probably losing Hibbert. I’d add Noah and hope he’s healthy. Then probably Pbev at PG, with an eye to stream it

  22. Good STUFF says:
    (link)

Trying to grab D’Angelo from another owner. Here are a few players I can trade: Bazemore, CJ Miles, Larkin, Zbo. I’m guessing Bazmore would be too much, and the other 3 probably not enough?

    Thansk!!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Good STUFF: I’d rather have Larkin for right now too. Miles and Zbo look like good offers, but I caution D’Angelo’s ankle, wanna see a timetable there. Any time!

  23. Afro says:
    (link)

JB! Love your work on the pod man! How do you guys manage to make everyone so entertaining? Is it serious work or is it just you and Slim hanging out?

I need to pick up a PF – On the market are Leuer, Leonard, Mirza, Landry and your boy Myles Turner! 16Tm H2H league… Is it worth dropping TJ Warren Terrence Jones, Larkin or Smart for one of them?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Afro: Thanks so much man! Well I like to think it’skinda a blend of both, we want to be casual and just like a conversation, but we take our work serious while having fun with it 🙂

Nahhhh I think you’re holding your crew there. Def the PG. Jones got a start and was OK, and with Dmo hurt, his role is pretty assured and we can still hope for the trade.

      • Afro says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: haha that sounds like the perfect mix! I love the Dr Jones upside… Just hanging on for that trade to happen or Bickerstaff to sort out his playing time!

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Afro: Haha Dr Jones Dr Jones! All I can hear is short round yelling that…

@Paul: Damn, he was playing pretty well too! Hope that ankle is OK…

  25. Gary says:
    (link)

Have a quick question: saw you say in some comments that favors may get shut down. Why is that? Utah still holds the last playoff spot and gobert is coming back. Wouldnt they be fighting for a playoff spot? Why would the shut down favors?

    • Gary says:
      (link)

@Gary: would you trade away favors and porzingis for Pau and Tobias?

      • JB Gilpin

@Gary: Well, they hold that spot right now, with all these injuries I dunno. And they shut him down last year with the bad back. A lot can change from now to mid March it’s more than 3 months away! Whew, I dunno… Give up a lot of upside so still some risk I think I’d hold

@JB Gilpin: same deal as above (i really need the rebounds/blocks) except the owner wants either wes matthews or rudy gay. His team is: teague, ellis, kcp, kemba, tobias, cousins, covington, pau, dieng, knight, casspi, lillard, e gordon, sullinger… who should i ask for in return for either player (or both) which would make the trade fair (and give me a slight advantage? 🙂 ) Thanks!

            (link)

@Gary: Damn well it’s gonna be a tough trade since he kinda needs REB/BLK too. Both for Pau? I think that’s fair

    1) I’m so glad Gobert is finally back. I just hope I can still make a miraculous comeback
    2) RoLo has been playing well lately, I hope he sustains it throughout the season
    3) Your thoughts on CHI’s frontcourt situation when Noah rejoins the team? He’s sitting on the wire, I have half a mind to pluck him
    4) I picked up Amir coz Lee I think has fallen out of rotation, the guy could have a decent season long value, right? His foot should be a problem tho so there’s really no need to get too attached. Lol
    5) How could Favors miss so many games with a bad back while Rondo only needed to miss one? #WTF
    6) I can’t believe HOU has yet to move Lawson and Tjones. I wonder if Tjones is still going to be dealt tho
    7) I’m hesitant to drop Danny Green, I know that is just wrong but I just lost Carroll so I only have the struggling Ariza as my SF. Green has been a 1/1/1 guy for a few games before that 2 blowout games. I actually don’t mind dropping him but the wire is full of scrubs. The only players that might interest you are:
    A) Olynyk. I still don’t fully trust Stevens
    B) PHX’s PFS Teletovic/Leur. I hate Hornacek, but Teletovic is so hot right now
    C) Bogut
    D) Mahinmi
    E) Noah
    F) Tjones

    • Dante Green says:

      @Dante Green:

Ugh BOS’ frontcourt rotation is stupid. Not touching anyone from the team again. I think I have to go with Leuer, Mirza got picked up by another team

    • Dante Green says:

Holy shit, Amir is really just a streamer. Lol I’m dropping the guy for Gergreen. I need help to close the gap in treys, I’m down by 8. Streamed Tross the other day but he sucked, would you rather have him over Gergreen? Both are heading for b2bs, I’m guessing you’d go for Green? Hah. He might play with an extra motivation coz he’s going up against his former team. Hah.

Still searching for a player on the wire who might hold a season long value and could provide team decent numbers!

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Dante Green: 1. i think he does! 2. Maybe not this good, but he shouldve been better than early on 3. Noah should get 25 mins when healthy 4. Meh, he’s well behind Oly and Sully, I’m not that enthused for him. 5. Hah very different injuries 6. It’ll take time as we near deadline 7. I dunno, I like Olynyk’s minutes. I think he’s your add.

Yeah Amir is poo. I’ll answer neither for those SF haha. Both streamers. Could make that spot Noah if you could use two bigs

received a legitimate offer – My KAT + Gorgui for Paul George + Nurk

@slim – can I have your thoughts too as you love Nurk but “hate” PG? Here is my team:

G – curry, wade, kemba, larkin, d. booker, belli (streaming)
    F – m. morris, otto, wiggins
    C – drummond, KAT, Dieng

    Thanks!

    • hamtime says:
      (link)

@hamtime: Was just offered: KD Hibbert Jameer for my Knight Teague Porzi in a 16m 11 cat league. Seeing as how 2/3 guys I would be receiving are trash, its essentially a 3-1 for KD. Thoughts? 13th place and need a major shakeup. Would pair Kd with lillard but thats about it haha

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@hamtime: I’m deffffffffff doing that deal! I like it more than the KD one, but I would narrowly take the KD one too to minimize Porzi weardown risk and Teague isn’t playing too well.

        • Slim

          Slim says:
          (link)

@JB Gilpin: I would negotiate more with the KD one. It’s a lot to give up and in a 16er you aren’t just picking up great players on the wire.

      • Slim

        Slim says:
        (link)

@hamtime: yep… in 9cat the 3 category punt isn’t for me. Drum kills your FTs, George kills your FGs, and you add a shiz ton (I believe that’s metric) of TOs. Not to mention all the blocks you would lose. An easy pass for me.

  30. Andrew Ringer says:
    (link)

Hey I got offered Carroll for Covington in a 16er with no Injury Reserves. Is either player worth owning in a deep league like this? And would you accept the deal?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Andrew Ringer: Nah Carroll’s injury is too long term, Covignton should be held in a 16er though, Carroll is prob a drop

Great pod as always guys! I always get depressed when y’all discuss flicks in your “At The Movies” section of the pod, as Vietnam doesn’t feature good movies regularly, outside of the blockbusters. So I’ll Likely miss out on The Revenant, The Hateful 8 etc.. which sucks because Tom Hardy and DiCaprio are two of my top 4 actors (Fassbender and Denzel), and Tarantino is my fav director, along with Wes Anderson. I may actually have to fly my ass to Bangkok or Singapore JUST to watch these movies ugh.

I digress. So Miro is on the wire and you know I’m in a shallow 9 team 14cat roto. He’ll clear waivers soon and I’m wondering if I should nab him. I’m a Barton and Tobias owner too – I don’t ever see myself dropping Barton because even when Mudiay and Gallo were healthy, his usage was fine and he was putting up stellar lines. Tobias… it’s all up to Skiles, really.

Is it worth dropping Tobias for Miro, Tucker, Mirza, Larkin or M Barnes? Essentially want more consistent “Tobias-like” stats (I know Larkin won’t board as much, but perhaps a great future trade piece for me?).

I’m gonna chill on Withey for one more game because I need the Obrds and blks (he’s ELITE in those cats). After that, I’ll gamble by swapping him for Noah, hoping that I won’t have to wait too long for his return to the Bulls. If I miss out on Noah, who shall I go for between Zeller, Mahinmi, Sully, A Johnson, Nurk, Adams and Jokic?

    • Lasandro says:
      (link)

@JB Gilpin: Dieng is actually on the wire but I dropped his ass for Withey a couple of days back.. he is just not doing it and those TOs have been a disaster.

      • Ryan says:

Vietnam eh? I can relate because it was a struggle for me to watch some movies in China (censorship). I eventually got bootlegs from some new friends and street vendors!

There must be some sort of black market for movies in Vietnam right? If all else fails, you could try searching online. That might be a bit tricky if you are in a rural area with spotty connection though..

      • Lasandro says:
        (link)

@Ryan: Oh it ain’t rural here at all man – I live in Ho Chi Minh City (aka Saigon). Decent theatres and such, but the powers-that-be program for the locals here, who tend to gravitate to action/horror/animated stuff. I download like a fiend, as the internet speed in the country is usually top-notch. But there are a few movies I’d rather just see on the big screen, y’know? Can’t imagine watching a Tarantino flick for the first time on a TV/laptop screen, ugh.

        You still in China or?

        • Ryan says:
          (link)

Nah, that was just a study abroad I did for a semester in uni. I’d like to go back if I ever get a chance because it was so much fun.

And yeah, I felt the same way, but ultimately decided that I couldn’t wait three months to see them on the big screen! But hey, I guess the travel time from Ho Chi Minh to Bangkok or Singapore isn’t that bad. The flight from Shanghai to Boston was something like 16 hours…

    • Lasandro says:
      (link)

@JB Gilpin: Tobias has just popped up on the wire. So..

Drop Tobias for Miro, Tucker, Mirza, Larkin, Casspi or M Barnes?

      • Lasandro says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Sht, I meant Casspi has popped up.. bloody hell, wanted to reduce the amount of posts for ya SMH..

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Lasandro: @Ryan: @Lasandro: Thanks for listening man, as always! Yeah I hope to see The Revenant this weekend or next, I’m envious of all the time Slim has for movies 🙂

Nahhhh I think you gotta hold Tobias still, even though Skiles is the worst. I’d hold him over Casspi too, but he’s close.

Withey is about to barely play, he can go. Prob Noah for the added cats, Zeller wouldn’t be a bad consolation.

    Hi,

I have been offered a trade for Love to my Noel. You think it’s a good trade? Love had a great start this season compared to Noel but Noel is starting to play well recently?

    • pitt says:
      (link)

@pitt: I’d also like to consider trading my Griffin to Horford since Griffin would be out for few more weeks and I love how Horford has upside in multiple categories. What do you think? 🙂

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@pitt: Wow, yeah crazy it’s close with how they both started. I think I’d indeed take Love as long as you can afford to lose some STL and BLK. Whoa, yeah gimme Horford! I might Horford when both are healthy!

Hi JB, need your help for the following:
    1) Keep Jon Leuer or Joe Johnson?
    2) Which 2 of them would you go ROS?
C.J. Miles, P.J. Tucker, Kelly Olynyk, Joakim Noah, Nikola Mirotic

    Thanks for the advice!

Yo, I’ll take Johnson. Then my 2 are likely Miro andddd Miles ROS. Close though, would gamble on Noah if Reb/Ast were a need.
