Ohhhhh, fringe-fantasy worthy Duke players…  I’m not a fan!  Belle Knox isn’t a fan!  Is she fringe-fantasy worth?  Plausibly.  Whilst you search her in Incognito mode, Kyle Singer went all multi-cat in a near-rainbow explosion for 11/7/3/5/1.  He even stole DeMarcus Cousins‘ parking spot!  Fight, fight!  While I’m not necessarily the biggest Singler fan (which I’m sure you can ascertain by the title and if you’ve read all year), he does have something going for him that all Lakers and Bucks would give their left nut for.  Consistent minutes.  After the All-Star break, Singler is averaging 34 minutes a game.  And hey, he needs every single[r] one of them to stay fantasy relevant.  Burn!  But relevant indeed, as his slash in that time is 11.7/3.1/1.6/1.1/0.6.  Not setting the world on fire, but for your fringe-guys – especially in weekly leagues – giving you a little of something is better than a lot of nothing.  Award winning advice right there!  Along with the multi-cat, is at 1.5 treys and 82% FT shooting since the break.  Dibbling in this, dabbling in that, and next thing you know he’s someone you trust more than, I dunno, maybe even Brandon Jennings who couldn’t find the hole last night.  “Tie in a joke from the beginning, tie in a joke from the beginning!”  Shut up 13-year-old inner monologue!  Here’s what else I saw in NBA action from last night:

Andrew Bynum – Um, what?  Somebody at work leaned over and told me he had 10 boards.  He might as well have leaned over and told me that Malaysian plane just landed next to the office.  8/10/1, not buying anything worth adding for a second.

Jared Sullinger – Led the Celtics in shots and points.  What I like to see!  17/9 and then all 0s is not… Solid 26 minutes otherwise against a good defensive team.  Still like Sully.

Rajon Rondo – Rough shooting night going 4-15 for 8/3/8/2/0.  Not the worst, but not good.  Doesn’t help he’s sitting tonight against the Knicks on top of it.  Man, he could’ve gone 20/20 against Raymond Felton!  Double dimebag!  Quarterbag!

Evan Turner – Hit all of his shots, so must’ve been an awesome game, right?!  9/0/3/0/0.  I’m just happy my low Turner rank ended up working out with the trade, so ima gloat!  Just like…

Paul George – …how Paul George is falling apart a bit, going 12/3/4/2/0 with 5 TOs last night.  Been a little bit of a rough last 4 for him, but he’s obviously fine.  Sample bias!

Jeff Green – Shot 3-16.  His shot has gone worse than Matthew Fox’s career.

DeMarcus Cousins – Despite his parking spot getting stolen, 13/14/1/1/6.  Shot poorly from the field and the stripe, but makes up for it with the Boogie Swat!  Not to be confused with Booty Sweat

Reggie Evans – Started and went 6/8/0/3/0.  There might not be a safer bet for boards off the waivers.

Andre Drummond – Hurt a finger but played through it.  Let’s just hope it doesn’t swell up to foam finger size!

Rodney Stuckey – I feel like I haven’t mentioned him in a while.  Maybe it’s because he had 5 points his previous two games.  Boom!  23/3/4/2/0 shooting 8-16 with no TOs.  Still, very boring player.  He’s a FTnof maybe…  If you need FT help, at 3.1 a game at 82.5% could be worth a streamboat.

Taj Gibson – The game I watched last night, and Gibby didn’t look shibby.  Missed a wide open dunk at one point.  Only got 23 minutes for 5 boards, but did manage 2 blocks to salvage.  Not worried though.

Joakim Noah – The passing is ridiculous.  13/8/7/0/2.  Not his best, but against the Spurs, still trouncing it.

D.J. Augustin – Playing like the pre-Kirk Hinrich-return-from-injury days!  And Hinrich might as well have not played last night!  Kirk shot 1-9, while DJ for 7-10 24/3/4.  Played more minutes, played really well down the stretch to make the blowout not as blowout-y, should be owned in most leagues.

Boris Diaw – These perfect shooting games are getting ridiculous.  Sure it was only 2-2, but perfect shooting in three of the last four.  8/7/2/3/0 with both shots treys and 2-2 FT.  “Ratio fixer Boris”!  Or maybe “BoRatio”!  BoRatio Hornblower!

Danny Green – Had no idea he even played.  I don’t think anyone did.  This became a blowout early, and even though the score ended up a tad closer, I could see Pop giving Green a red light after a 30 something to 11 score.

Ersan Ilyasova – Random DNP for his ankle.  No warning until the last second.  Leave it to Drew!

John Henson – Started!  Rejoice in fantasy celebration!  10/8/2/0/2 is fine, but we want more in 32 minutes!

Jeff Adrien – With no Ersan, pretty much had to play minutes, and got them again.  20 minutes for 12/7/0/0/2 in what he should be doing in all 5 games this week.  Except Larry Drew is the fantasy antichrist and arbitrarily sat him Monday.  I’d rather go out on a date with Amanda Knox than have one beer with Larry Drew.

Zaza Pachulia – Right up there with Bynum for yesterday’s “wtf mate?!” stat of the night.  9/6 and 10 assists?!  Zaza with a dimebag?!  Welcome to absolute crazy town.  But it’s the Bucks, and for Thursday I predict Miroslav Raduljica goes for 20/20.

James Harden – Gave it his all against his former Thunder!  Barely missed a trip-dub going 28/8/9/1/1.  He’s been smokin’ it lately.

Terrence Jones – Just can’t buy the minutes.  That’s the toughest part of making fantasy calls on the fringe guys – he gets three straight 32+ minute games and performs extraordinarily well so I buy in, then three straight now of sub 25 minutes with nothing doing.  8/3/0/1/2 in 21 minutes last night, the blocks were nice, but he’s still in streamer land with the bad playing time.

Steven Adams – 24 minutes and a productive start!  2/8 with two blocks isn’t blow the roof off the barn (or something like that), but a nice increase in PT.  We’ll see.

Damien Lillard – 32/4/7.  Only 2 TOs (12 the previous 2 games) and was on a bit of scoring drought the past six so this was a big one to help get hot heading into the playoffs.

Nick Calathes – Had a monster first half getting 7 dimes in 9 minutes.  Ended with a 7/2/9/1/0 line shooting 3-4 with a trey.  Not much you can depend on, but in a deeper league with an assists need, he’s at 4+ in seven of the last nine.

Marc Gasol – Good to see him keep on truckin’.  19/9/7 in another trip-dub flirt.  Tapas caliente!

Andre Iguodala – Getting harder to defend him.  Which is weird since I was pretty down on him heading into the year…  4/2/5/0/2 is decent-ish, but hey it was in only 26 minutes in a blowout.  0-2 FT though, sheesh Iggy!  Having enough trouble scoring as it is!  But plays like this make me defend again!  Ahhhhh, I don’t know what to do anymore!!!!

Next Game:  MEM @ NOP tonight.  Watching to see how Calathes does with the second unit and excited to see the Brow in action.  Good luck in the big Wednesday slate tonight!
