It was yet another nail in the proverbial coffin for the Lakers last night, as they lost yet again to the Milwaukee Bucks and Kobe Bryant left the arena with another injury, an apparent bone spur in his foot that flared up. He was spotted on one crutch Tiny Tim style. If the Lakers make the playoffs, Kobe will have to declare, “God bless us, everyone!”

For fantasy owners, this is a devastating injury, because as much as Kobe will want to play through it, we saw him be ineffective after the ankle sprain and I bet misses a few games right in your playoff run. You definitely can’t drop him either, so depth through the playoffs will be brought to the forefront. Hopefully you can brave the injury like Maximus in Gladiator and still put it in the throat of the weirdly effeminate Joakin Phoenix. Wait, that sounds more like Caligula than Gladiator

Here’s what else went down last night:

Paul George – After shooting 4-17 Wednesday went 10-17 last night for 24 Pts 8 Rebs 6 Asts and 3 Stls.  Carry us to the finals, Paulie!

George Hill – Also bouncing back from a rough outing after missing some time with a minor injury, went 3-5 FG 10-5-3-1 with a 3-pointer.  Not quite there yet, but another 30 minutes played and I think he’ll be right back to what he used to be.

Tyler Hansbrough – Even with David West returning, played 20 minutes off the bench to go 13-9.  Almost a dub-dub.  He still has some value, but is probably cuttable in most leagues – I don’t expect outputs like that with West back.  West also only played 28 minutes in his first game back, which will increase.

Brandan Wright – Got the start and only played 22 minutes going 4-3-1 and 2 Blks.  Give the dude more minutes!

Shawn Marion – The entirety of the Mavericks didn’t show up last night, and Marion at 8-4-1-2 is included.  After two nice games immediately returning from the calf injury, that’s now two straight duds.  He’s back in the starting line-up and they need him for their own playoff push.  If you’re holding onto him and debating a drop, I think I wait him out unless I need a spot start for minutes over the weekend.

Steve Nash – After a big first half, Nash was huge in 23 minutes going 5-7 16 Pts 3 Rebs 6 Asts 2 Stls and 1 Blk.  Compound that to his usual workload and it would’ve been one of his best games on the year, although reportedly hurt his hammy back and hip all in the same game last night.  Sheesh, get the guy a AARP card.  At least he can get Social Security in Canada when he’s of age while us Americans won’t…

Brandon Jennings – Responded well after putting up a goose egg Wednesday night and getting benched by going 20-2-7.  I’m glad everyone can get their BJ they’re used to from their favorite Buck buddy.

DeMarcus Cousins – If only Big Cuz could play consistently like this every night!  34-14-2-1-1.  Monstah!  The Kings have quietly won 4 of their last 6 – they must want to stay in the Sac.

Luis Scola – The Suns have got to be one of the worst managed teams this year.  After getting benched, Scola is now starting again and has back-to-back 20+ Pt games.  He was dropped in a lot of leagues and is available here and there.

Game Tonight: Heat @ Hornets.  Damn, wish the streak was still alive… The Hornets coulda knocked off both the Nuggets streak and Heat streak within a week.  I think the Heat trounce here.  Shoot your comments below, stay strong through the playoffs!  Have a great weekend Razzball Nation!
