Razzball Nation!

You’ve drafted your team or about to draft this weekend, the season is upon you, and you’re still stuck with “Joe’s Team” as your team name.  IT ELICITS NO FEAR OR HUMOR!  Like a really, REALLY bad horror film…  Like Secret Window.   “You stole my story.”  You stole two hours of my life!

But alas, your solution is nigh!  Our brand new FANTASY BASKETBALL TEAM NAME GENERATOR is hot off the presses (Well, hot off the keyboard…?  Newspapers need a new one for that!) and ready to make your hoops season memorable!  It’s also linked to the menu under “Our Leagues” for your sudden 3:00 AM urge to make new fantasy team names.  “Ahhhhh, Matt Barnes’ Ex isn’t good enough!”

Just pick an Adjective (with a few possessive noun categories in there), then a noun, and ba-boom!  You’ve got a new team name!  Be sure to shoot your favorite team names in the comments, and let’s get pumped for the season next week, Razzball Nation!

    Hi JB,

How’s my team? 10 team roto, 10 cat (FTM)

    PG: Teague, Collison, Clarkson
SG: Harden, JR. Smith, Jeremy Lin
    SF: Batum, Draymond, Otto Porter
    PF: Millsap, Dieng
C: Gortat, Chandler, Karl Anthony Towns

Seems like my weakness is scoring. Should I target: Gay, Griffin, Isaiah Thomas? Who should I look to trade.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Michael: Yeah scoring is a tad low with Harden, love him in FTM though! Blocks look solid, I don’t think it’s pressing enough to trade a huge asset right now, maybe Dieng for IT2 if they need a big?

    • miles proudfoot says:

@miles proudfoot: wu-tang name generator. Bring da ruckus!

        @miles proudfoot: Hahaha nice!

JB gilpin from this day forward
you will also be known as
        Tuff Ambassador

  2. J says:

    Hey JB,

PJ Tucker has looked terrible this offseason and it looks like TJ Warren is really making a case for a starting role.

Have your expectations of Tucker changed much from your rankings?

Tucker and Kaminsky actually both got dropped in my 14 teamer.

Do you like either over Bjelica?
I feel like I should grab Tucker but this preseason is weighing heavy on my mind.

    Thanks!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@J: Yup TJ certainly looks like the better _J. PJ has fallen about 15 since the initial ranks, but I kinda feel like they wanna stick with him and he should be owned. Yeah I like Tucker for sure still more than Bjelica, Kaminsky maybe a tad more too. One thing I might do is wait until they officially announce who will start before nabbing him

Monsieur Elbow’s Luminescent Lithuanians is pretty pretty pretty good

My super deep league continues…round 14, and heading into backup territory. which 2 do you like of the following:
    Canaan / Marshall
    Gerald Green
    Jeff Green
    PJ (I have TJ)
    Healthcare.
    2Pat
    King Joffrey (I have nurk)
    Mahinmi (I have Turner)
    Hump

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@kai: Haha awesome! Oh damn yeah I need to add Healthcare.Mozgov to the nicknames. Blocks/REB I like Mahinmi, Canaan for the PG upside although his dimes aren’t gonna be great. Mozgov with mahinmi if you need to double down on bigs

  4. Ryan says:

How do you guys feel about having four players from the same team on a 16 man roster? I received a very good trade offer: Milsap+Tobias Harris for Ibaka+Covington+Pachulia. I already have Vucevic, Gordon, and Elfrid… Should I just accept the trade, accept that I’m going to lose week 11 when ORL plays 1 game, and become a Magic fan this season? Ooh ooh, I know. I should take the trade, then try trading for Oladipo, and then rename my team “Magic: The Gathering.”

And JB, right after I mention how awful Sullinger has been he goes and posts 16 points, 8 reb, 6 ast, and 3 blks in 19 minutes. Still don’t think he will get much run, but we’ll see how things shape out.

    • Ryan says:
      (link)

@Ryan: Incidentally the team offering me this trade plays me in wk 11. I’m thinking this is some sort of evil trick they are playing on me. I’m about to counter Ibaka for Milsap since I’d take even that trade any day.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Ryan: Hahaha mAgic the Gathering does have an appeal! Only concern for me is you have enough blocks. If so, I’m good with it, but if you don’t have enough blocks next to Ibaka I might pass. Wow, yeah Sully did look good! I still worry about the rotation as everyone does haha

  5. TOPSZN says:

Swaggy P’s Peacocks is definitely one I’ll use if I’m ever blessed enough to have Swaggy P on my team!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@TOPSZN: Hahaha nice! Or just Swaggy P-cocks, but that sounds all sorts of wrong…

  6. Shawn says:

    Hey guys
Sorry I’ve been MIA as of late.
Having a few lady issues.. To say the least.

    I got a offer today

Funk trades Nicolas Batum, Cha SF to LIFE
Funk trades Draymond Green, GS SF to LIFE
Funk trades Nerlens Noel, Phi C to LIFE
LIFE trades Joakim Noah, Chi C to Funk
LIFE trades Thaddeus Young, Bkn SF to Funk
LIFE trades DeAndre Jordan, LAC C to Funk

I own Noel. I also have DHoward so I thought why not go all out. It’s a rebound league and Jordan tops the board stats easy.
j Noah I dunno he’s all risk I guess so I’m not sure

    Thought I’d also you guys

    • Shawn says:
      (link)

@Shawn: ask you guys rather. Sorry auto spell is killing me lately

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Shawn: No worries man, welcome back! “No woman, no cry!” Or something that tries to make ya feel better…

Nahhhhh that’s way too much value to give up for me. Noel vs. DeAndre is close, sure DeAndre with a boost in a REB league, but Dray and Batum are sooooo much better than the other two, even with it being a little closer in DREB/OREB cats

        • Shawn says:
          (link)

          @JB Gilpin:

          Thanks a lot
He added dragic instead of Jnoah but still
          Thanks a lot

          • JB Gilpin

            JB Gilpin says:
            (link)

@Shawn: Yeah Dragic certainly makes it closer, but I wouldn’t give up DrayDray for that

  7. hamtime says:
    (link)

    1. would you trade covington for middleton in a 16m/11cat?

    2. olynyk or capella for the season? 16m/11cat

    3. with curry as my likely 2nd pick in round 1, is draymond the right guy to nab at 2, or should i nab a pg like bled/lowry? round 3 Cs are pau, hassan, dj, favors in your ranking order. or should i go steph, pau, bled/lowry? 14m/9cat

    • hamtime says:
      (link)

@hamtime: sorry, meant to say curry as my first pick in round 1 (i have the 2nd pick in the draft)

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@hamtime: 1. Ehhhhh, it’s close they’re very similar. If you feel good about your FG% I’d hold Covington since he hurts there, if that’s a red flag I’d take Middleton. 2. Man, killin me! Capela for upside or needing blocks, anything else I might go Olynyk for production now. 3. I’d still go Dray over Pau, then yeah E Bled would be solid there too, then two straight bigs with blocks upside, like hope KAT falls

  8. NYFantaC says:

For all teams who believe that picking Isaiah Canaan with their last pick, was a steal that is going to yield Fantasy rewards: Canaan Able

    • JB Gilpin

@NYFantaC: Hah I don’t have him anywhere yet but I do think he can be Able, nice!

  9. Clyde Prompto says:

Trey Burke has been awesome this preseason. Well, awesome for Trey Burke, anyway. I’m getting a George Hill sorta vibe from him this year. I also hope Joffrey Lauvergne comes out guns blazing because I want a full season of Jeff Lasagne blurbs.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Clyde Prompto: Haha, well I do think Burke will have some awful FG% stretches. He’s having a ridiculous run of opportunities for not being very good…

Hah, if I make a lasagna joke, I get called Mexican! True comment I got a few weeks ago…

      • Clyde Prompto says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Haha what?? I’m at a loss on that one. Lasagna, Mexican food…it’s all delicious. Apparently Burke lost some weight and it’s giving him a little more lift on his jumper, and he’s not tiring as much. Could be just your standard preseason gobbledygook, but for a guy you can get in the last couple of rounds I like the gamble.

          • Clyde Prompto says:
            (link)

@JB Gilpin: Hahaha! I still have more questions than answers, but it’s probably best to accept it as part of life’s rich pageant. Dug the Sheed avatar, though.

            • JB Gilpin

              JB Gilpin says:
              (link)

@Clyde Prompto: Hah yeah I went to a Chapel Hill game two years ago and he was there and the MC pointed him out to the crowd and a loud raucous “SHEEEEEEEEED!” bellowed out, was awesome.

    4. (68) Derrick Favors (Uta – PF,C) $15
    5. (69) Andre Drummond (Det – PF,C) $19
    6. (103) Terrence Jones (Hou – SF,PF) $5

    12. (141) Jose Calderon (NY – PG) $1
    13. (143) T.J. Warren (Pho – SF) $1

Got lucky with curry at 70 , went greedy to grab KD at 76 What do you think of this team, who should I trade for , i think block is overkill and lack three pointer .

    • nont nontiskul says:

what do you think of Al jef + drummond for draymond green ?

is it worth trading favors for Gallo ?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@nont nontiskul: Wow yeah those are great values! And I think you got enough bigs to cover it. Yeah you have a ton of blocks, Jefferson at $8 is a great value, but yeah might look to move him. Both those deals are close, I lean liking both, kinda like Jefferson for Gallo more

  11. Hey JB:

What up, my man! Props to you and Slim for the well document hoops intel. Just read thru some of it, granted — post my draft, but still… we seem to be on same page on a few guys. . Wanted your take on this drafted squad and a few add/drops below, so welcome your thoughts when you have a minute.

Settings: H2H – weekly. 12 teams. Deep League (roster 18)
    11 Categories (lean towards scoring): Standard 9 + FGM/FTM

Guards (start 4) – Westbrook. Oladipo. Kemba. Wiggins
Forwards (start 4) – Terrence Jones. Miratovic. Jeff Green. Afflalo
Centers (start 2) – Andre Drummond. Dwight Howard.
Utility (start 2) – Aaron Gordon. Rodney Hood.
Bench – Jordan Hill, Nene Hilario, Zach Lavine, Alex Len, Tony Snell, Lauvergne

    * I’m pretty bullish on Drummond, Oladipo, Terrence Jones and Wiggins. I better be cause I reached on almost all of them. I do realize that my FT% will likely be problematic with Drummond and Dwight. But, I got Dwight in the 9th round, which is pretty awesome value all things considered, especially for H2H (roto – I wouldn’t touch him, or Drummond for that matter).

** Also think I’m a little light on BIGS, but hopeful that 1 of Aaron Gordon, Jordan Hill or Nene prove serviceable.

Available on Wire: Justin Anderson, Kent Bazemore, Jerami Grant (PHI), Jerian Grant (NY), Thomas Robinson, Nikola Jokic.

As you can see, league is super deep, so not a lot available… Was thinking Justin Anderson or Bazemore make an interesting add first few weeks in light of Parsons and Thabo both being banged up. Your thoughts? Thanks.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@EL BURRO: Yo what’s up man?! Been a while! Looks pretty solid, should make a ton of FT. And yeah, FT% is rough but it’s only 1 of 11 cats. Love the bullish on Wiggins! I’m big on Aaron Gordon, he’ll help some swats and REB look OK.

I’d prob go Bazemore just for the first week, I worry Jenkins is gonna play a lot at SG and Jeremy Evans some SF.

Welcome back to hoops man! We need all that Laker news haha

      • @JB Gilpin:

Thanks. Yeah — been traveling a lot for work. Having babies and shit. Growing up.Still making terrible decisions on the weekend, so there’s that! I would also be remiss if I didn’t tell you how awesome of a job you do on the SP round-ups. Insightful. Humble brag, I took down 3 $money$ baseball titles (14 teamers) , including the 12 team RCL league. Hooray for being fantasy snazzalicious. Razzball gets it done in baseball every year. Great work by you and the guys.

On to hoops. Hear you on Gordon. He was a target of mine and actually pulled trigger early (Round 13) to make sure I snagged him. I secretly love a lot of Magic players this year – could be scary or a lot of fun. Who knows with that Napoleon complex coach.

I drafted both Snell and LaGarbage thinking they might have a sneaky first few weeks. Im fairly confident that LaGarbage gonna start in Denver over Jokic, correct? Ditto with Snell with Dunleavy shelved, yes?

Sorta on the same page with Bazemore. Just not sure who I lose cause I think I might end up starting Snell (or at least want that option). Bazemore also has a 4 game slate week 1, but strikes me as a temporary fix. Not anything more than 2-3 weeks max. Not losing Hill, Nene or Lavine. So that leaves either Snell or LaGarbage. Decisions.

Jenkins has been retarded good in the pre-season, I just don’t think that carries over to reg season. I like Anderson’s make-up just not sure it translates to fantasy as long as Chandler is walking.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@EL BURRO: Pshhhhhh stop working so hard! Hah yeah I got married and we just bought a house, slamming the brakes from there. Hah thanks man! I did pretty well in my leagues, except of course the one with Grey who let me know it every podcast….

Wellllll, don’t forget, wait for it, JJ hickson. Hasn’t played a lot of preseason minutes but maybe keeping him fresh for 18-20 min starts. I do think Snell starts though, and Lauvergne will play, probably play the most C minutes. Also Faried could swing to the 5. I worry Lauvergne is too skinny for C.

Yup we’ve talked Bazemore a few times as an early streamed for the games. And yeah I think Jenkins cools off too, classic “its just preseason”

  12. slimbo says:

    whats up pal

    8 team 8 keeper h2h 9 cat

    current team
K Thompson, Gobert, Griffin, Whiteside, Bledsoe, Oladipo, Teague, Mirotic

see any weaknesses that i need to grab in the draft early?

pretty sure towns is going 1st….but what would be your top 10 picks from this bunch
Jefferson, Ariza, Gortat, Duncan, Gallinari, Knight, Korver, Green, Nowitski. Ellis, Hill, Middleton, Mccollum, Mudiay, Okafor, S Johnson

was thinking of going for green Ariza or Middleton with pick 5…thoughts?

    thanks!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@slimbo: Whats good man?! Nice start of keepers with bigs and PG. Green is… Draymond Green? He’s a clear #1 for me! If he’;s gone too I might upside of Gallo over Ariza and Middleton

  13. Dave says:
    (link)

Hello, auction question, which two elite PG would you draft to pair up? and which mid level big man should i be targeting? Thanks

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Dave: I love the idea of Curry and Wall. FG% isn’t bad with high-end 3s next to high-end AST. TO aren’t great, but Harden_Westbrook would be outta control haha. Mid level I like Towns, Gortat in there. You’d have a great start at FT% I dunno if I’d go for a bad FT guy

  14. A Hill O' Beans says:
    (link)

There’s the Patrick Patterson we all know and love JB! 0/7 from the field in 20 minutes for a big fat zero points. The fact that he’s still in the hunt for the starting spot after this preseason tells you all you need to know about the Raptors PF position, ha-ha.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@A Hill O’ Beans: Haha yikes. Got a steal and a AST though! Just missed all his treys there, poor guy…

Hey JB I am in a 12 cat roto
I drafted convington without realizing he hurt his knee. I hope he is okay . can you give me some feedback. I tried to draft as balance as I can

    pg: ty Lawson
    pg-sg; Brandon knight, jarret jack
sg-sf: Robert Covington, Wesley Mathews, Gerald green, jeff green
    sf-pf: jerami grant
pf-c: nikola vucevic, ryan Anderson, Anderson varejo,
    c: rudy gobert, bismac biyambo

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Michael: Ugh yeah, I mean it was late last night, and we still dunno any MRI results. Can only hope for the best. AST look pretty light to me, but your TO are also very low which is nice for roto. FT% could be a little rough if Bismack plays a lot of minutes. Nice to see you nabbed Grant if Covington ends up out a while. I’d try to boost some AST while not adding too many more TO

  16. Dante Green says:
    (link)

Even with a nice game, rotoworld still hates Wiggins. Haha

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@Dante Green: I know right, if it was McCollum they would be calling him a top 25 player. I am loving Tayshaun Prince in the starting lineup too. Wiggins is the 1st, 2nd, and… well I guess Towns is option 3. It’s crazy how many people treat Wiggins rookie year like it’s the way he’s always going to be. Did everyone think LeBron was going to be a career .417 shooter after his rookie year?

Why does Klay get called Multicat now and Wiggins not? I think Wiggins out steals and out blocks Klay (he was right there as a wide eyed 19 year old), and out rebounds obviously, assists and points are at worst even. It isn’t outlandish to say Wiggins will be more helpful to FTs also considering he’ll double and possibly triple Klay’s volume. I know Klay shot .020 higher than his career average last year but I see no reason why Wiggins can’t match him even if Klay keeps it up. So Klay wins 3s and maybe 0.5 a TO or so and that’s assuming Klay can replicate last year (which I am not at all on board believing). It all just makes no sense to me.

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Dante Green: @Slim: Hah yeah the hate on Wiggins and love for McCollum is getting a little crazy. Oh for sure Wiggins will outdo Klay there, yup the FT% boost is so much better, Klay only wins 3s. Bet Wiggins vastly outscores him too

        • Dante Green says:
          (link)

@JB Gilpin: I laughed when Slim mentioned roto’s mad love on McCollum, coz it’s fcuking true! Hah I mean there’s no question C.J.’s gonna be awesome this year but I just couldn’t understand why Wiggins’ not getting any love from them.

          • JB Gilpin

            JB Gilpin says:
            (link)

@Dante Green: Pretty sure he went AHEAD of Wiggins in the F&F draft. Unreal.

      • Dante Green says:
        (link)

        @Slim: …”Still, he isn’t a shot blocker and doesn’t steal much”

Do they expect him to average 3 blocks a game? This is crazy. It’s like there’s no chance that Wiggin’s gonna improve this season.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Dante Green: And not like McCollum steals much or blocks at all. Yeah elite guys improve quick, like Wiggins 1st half to 2nd half. I’ll reap the benefits of lowered buzz! Ha!

  18. Sports Benjamin says:

    JB,
Who do you like more in a redraft league as a late round flierin a points league–
    Vonleh or TJ Warren?
Both are speculative. I own Vonleh but considering a drop for Warren. Hate to buy into the preseason hype buttttt he does look good.

    Thanks,
    Sports

    • Sports Benjamin says:
      (link)

@Sports Benjamin: I could also drop Gary Harris. Read an ESPN article about him breaking out this season. So obviously I grabbed him because I believe anything I read on the internet.

So my request is to rank Vonleh, Warren, and Harris for this season. thanks

      • JB Gilpin

        JB Gilpin says:
        (link)

@Sports Benjamin: Def going Warren there. He does look good and certainly will be playing more minutes out of the gate, and has upside to take that starting SF role. Haha, I’d go Warren as a clear #1, then Harris if needing production now, but Vonleh if you have a deep bench and can stash. Any time!

        (link)

@decaf: NIce draft! Good dimes and protected TO. I usually like stars and scrubs, but you got some crazy values! BLK look a tad low and I think a few more boards would help, that’d be the first guy I’d look for off a wire – a big. FT% looks great, I could see a few rough FG% weeks if Ariza/Lowry/Knight are cold. One more big helps there too. Hope that helps man!

        • decaf says:
          (link)

          @JB Gilpin:
I’ve been burned by injuries before so I’m now wary of the stars and scrubs strategy, haha.
Thanks for the input on looking out for another big. I will probably make Ariza and/or Knight available, hopefully in a 2 for 1 trade. If only Vucevic could get more blocks! Haha.
Keep up the great work, guys!

@Moshe: Wow, E Bled 31?! You got a ton of crazy values! Everyone went lower than my ranks. %s look great, Gordon and Turner should help boost BLK, should have plenty of treys. I mean, trying to find holes and don’t see any, this would look a lot like one of my teams in that draft slot

      (link)

@Chris: Love the early buys! I think I’d rather keep Johnson though, your AST look solid and Johnson offers a bit more upside. BLK great, REB should be solid, scoring looks solid, maybe FT% could get iffy with Rudy/Jones/Dray/Mudiay and maybe TO get up there with Westbrook and Mudiay, but that’s about all I can say negatively looks good!

      • Chris says:
        (link)

Thanks heaps JB. I am now considering claiming Wilson Chandler for Johnson and switching out Holiday for Collison…what say you?

This is my brothers team for the same league..how do you think he fared?

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Chris: Ton of TO, FG% is a little iffy, and don’t see nearly enough BLK. REB might be low too, he needs another big man. I like yours better 🙂

  22. Eric says:
    (link)

So my league setting just changed for turnovers to assist/to ratio. Does that basically mean all pointguards get a sizeable boost while all big men get handicapped? Are there any specific poinguards/centers/any player haha that I should seriously push up or down the rankings? Thanks!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Eric: Was that a post-draft change?! That’s grounds for a big hubbub, you can’t change settings after the draft! Yeah boosts the PG, especially ones that aren’t too bad in TO. Like Dragic, Knight should be solid, well really any of them. Also it helps teams with a ton of hugh usage guys, because now you can stream and have a ton of PG and still win that category. Still hope it’s a pre-draft changE1

      • Eric says:
        (link)

        @JB Gilpin:

Haha it is a predraft change thankfully. So basically my bench should essentially be full of pointguards and now centers that assist take a boost? Also, it basically means that big ball teams aren’t recommended anymore right?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Eric: Ah well that’s good! Yeah that is ideal, but it just means you can hoard guys that get a ton of TO and feel fine with it as long as you have the elite PG up top. I’d try to get PG early then not worry about TO prone guys late

@Michael: FT% is great, but you’re lacking big man depth. I could see BLK being solid with Giannis helping there, but FG% and REB are the two major things I see, I think I might look to trade a PG once Kyrie is healthy and going 100% since you’d be really solid there

12 team 9catg h2h weekly, all the big names went very pricy so couldn’t star- scrub, anyways i think i got decent value on most the guys, if i were to improve who should i target? since its a weekly formate 3 of my guys will be wasted on my bench so i think i should do a few 2 for 1 deals? I’m thinking to move kemba, Jeffereson, or Drummond(i only drafted for the blks) .
    thanks.

@Dave: Ah yeah sometimes everyone goes stars and scrubs and it gets tough. I think you did well to put together PG depth and your bigs are very solid. Wiggins at $11 is criminal. Love how your squad came out. Man that’s a tempting offer, but I think you have FT% protected and you kinda need Elfrid’s dimes, I’d hold.

F: Rudy gay, cousins, randolph, harrison barnes, wilson chandler.
    C: Jonas Val, robin lopez

What do i need to improve on? thanks a lot!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@jim: Looks like AST and BLK are both pretty low. Rebounding could use a boost as well. A lot of good D stats otherwire, I might try and add one more big man who blocks, adding someone like Mahinmi would help a lot. I would keep an eye on the wire for bigs, i think Lee, LaVine and Barnes could all get replaced for bigs who emerge early

    Hi J.B.
I’m setting up the weekly schedule for my Yahoo H2H league. And I want to combine weeks 16 & 17 into one week. It seems to me I read on some RAZZBALL post that it was possible to do this. Can you advise how that gets done. I’m a doofus and only marginally competent around computers. Please Uncle J.B…could you tell me how to do this? Me and the entire crew of our league would appreciate it. Thanks.

    Hey JB and Slim,

Yeah, I think you two need to take a look at this. 3 teams. Picks are in order.

    1st team – 12 teams H2h 9cats

    Anthony Davis
    Draymond Green
    Eric Bledsoe
    KAT
    Monta Ellis
    Elfrid Payton
    Terrence Jones
    Chandler Parsons
Ricky Rubio (I don’t know about this pick though but I was a bit short with AST…)
    KCP
    Myles Turner
    Eric Gordon
    Shabazz Muhammad
    Clint Capela

At least 2 whom I shall baby, Gordon and Parsons. I need 3s.

    ——————————————————————————————————–
    2nd team – 14 teams H2h 9cats (Keeper League)

    DMC (Keeper)
    Draymond Green
    Goran Dragic
    Monta Ellis
    Elfrid Payton
    Enes Kanter
    Wesley Matthews
    Myles Turner
    Darren Collison
    KCP
Marcus Morris (Kieff got drafted before my turn. Ouch! i think I made a mistake on this turn.)
    Clint Capela
    Courtney Lee

    ——————————————————————————————————–

    3rd team – 18teams H2h 9cats (14th pick)

    Rudy Gobert
Draymond Green (Guess I’m really lucky with D.Green)
    KAT (I needed to…)
    Monta Ellis
    Jordan Clarkson
    Wesley Matthews
Marcus Morris (Again, Kieff got drafter before me. Though, it’s a deep league I think I made the right choice here.)
Nate Robinson (Yup, that’s how deep)
    Clint Capela
    Patrick Beverly
Dwight Powell (Should I drop and pick Humphries instead?)
    Doug McDermott (Wanted Shabazz here..)
    Kent Bazemore

    Thanks, Razzball! 🙂

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Kris: 1 – yeah looks great! Rubio there is fantastic to me! TO might get a little high, but that’s about all bad I can say! 2 – Whoa, Kieff available for that KCP pick?! Yeah I woulda Kieff there 🙂 BLK looks light on that one, need Capela and Turner outta the gate. AST is probably average, could use one more source there, overall solid as well. 3 – Lol, you’re all in on DrayDray! Looks pretty close to an AST punt, Ellis is a big boost for STL along with PBev, I might look to deal Clarkson. I think your scoring on that team is a little low too.

      Hope that helps!

      • Kris says:

Deal Clarkson for hat exactly are we looking here? 🙂

          @Kris:

Also I’m not liking this Ish Smith news for Nate haha! DRAFTED him on 2 of my leagues! Should I make a move now. Both a 20er.

          • JB Gilpin

            JB Gilpin says:
            (link)

@Kris: In 20ers, Nate is definitely worth holding. Well the thing with Clarkson is I think he’s a lot more valuable than perception, so I’d give it some time. Eventually I’d look to deal him for a scorer, DeRozan right now I might do to boost PTS

@SheriffMcRawDawg: alright so just drafted, went with your rankings on CP3. Let me know what you think man! I don’t love it, but got some of the buzzier guys so we’ll see.

      20-team, 9 cat H2H. 5th pick:

      PG – CP3 (1, #5)
      SG – Hill (4, #76)
      G – Jack (6, #116)
      SF – Waiters (9, #165)
      PF – Favors (2, #36)
      F – Leonard (5, #85)
      C – Gortat (3, #45)
      Util – Aaron Gordon (7, #125)
      Util – Myles Turner (8, #156)
      Bn – Wroten (10, #196)
      Bn – Nitro Robinson (11, #205)
      Bn – Capela (12, #236)

      Thanks man!

@SheriffMcRawDawg: some owner didn’t draft a SG haha and made contact with me over a trade. He’s got Giannis, Ilyasova, Stanley Johnson, and Marcus Morris eligible at SF – any of those a good target with the guys I’ve got? who would you throw out?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@SheriffMcRawDawg: Ah sorry man! Putting together articles for tomo…

Damn you got an awesome team! Nice AST with low TO, I think scoring is a little low. Wish one of those SF options was a scorer, or maybe he can throw one in on a deal? Hill fits your build sooooo well, and Nate Robinson actually does as well (scoring with a nice A:TO). I dunno if I see a great trade for you two

          • SheriffMcRawDawg says:
            (link)

@JB Gilpin: thanks JB! of those guys, which would you target if any though? I could probably get Marcus Morris for cheap…

Otherwise, for SF eligible guys, on the wire there are: these are: Singler, Shumpert (out for a while I know, but..), Hardaway, Lamb, Bazemore, Stephenson, Snell. Harkless, McDaniels…

should I drop waiters for any of those?

            Thanks again man

              (link)

@SheriffMcRawDawg: Yeah maybe morris for cheap, I dunno if the otehrs have that upside in scoring. Maybe Ilyasova. Kinda thining getting Bazemore to play on Tuesday (tomorrow now!) and stream some players to help Pts might be the way to go. Any time!

pumped the year is about to start! my 10 team 9 cat h2h draft went well

    PG Bledsoe (pick 38, nice)
    SG Harden (3)
    SF Wiggins (43)
    PF Millsap (18)
    C Gobert (23)
Util Whiteside (58, didn’t exactly fit build but by far best player 6th round)

    B R Jackson (63)
    B T Jones (78)
    B T Harris (83)
B Porzingis (98 reached because buzzy name was going to get taken and really wanted him on one team. Gortat would have been smart choice)
    B Valanciunas (103)
    B J Clarkson (118, taken 3 rounds after D Russell, ha)
    B A Burks (123)
    B StanJo (138)
    B Aaron Gordon (143)

Looking to move Tobias because Orlando’s games are all on heavy nights except for 3, lowest in the league, and with the 6 starter/9 bench setup idk how many nights he’d actually play for me. Do you see anything I’m light in?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@dom: Pumped too man! Whoa, crazy value up top there! And yeah, Magic are pretty awful with the schedule. Yeah FT% might struggle at times with your pair of bigs, but maybe you can bench Whiteside late in weeks to protect it. TO might get pretty high with Harden E Bled Jackson. Another thing to watch towards end of weeks. Everything else is looking solid!

      • dom says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: thanks. I need to get to work on a 2 for 1 or something to free up a roster spot because I love to stream and there’s a lot of available talent with only 150 total players rostered. If any of those late rounders get off to a slow start performance or minutes-wise are they droppable? Likely they’d sneak through waivers in this league

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@dom: Yup I like to work 2 for 1s as well in 10 or 12ers as best I can. Even though he’s been the talk of preseason, i think if StanJo is only playing 15-20 minutes, he can have a short leash, but everyone else looks like long leashes to me

          • dom says:
            (link)

@JB Gilpin: I really want Draymond, do you think it makes sense to offer Tobias and R Jackson for Draymond and Ed Davis (aka a roster spot)? Miss some assists but I can get a lot of production out of a streaming spot.
