If you like your men big, I got a Buy/Sell that will knock your panties off. First up is Tyler Zeller. On Monday, I wrote: “Despite beefy minutes (38), he only went for 13 points, 14 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 blocks. On the other hand, he still got 13 points, 14 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 blocks. He has double digit points over the last 3 games, plus an average of 3 blocks and 10 rebounds during that time.” And that’s me copying and pasting me after browsing through my post, written by me! ME. Me me me me me. Where were me? Oh, yeah, over the past 4 games (rebounds/blocks), he’s 10/6, 14/3, 9/2, 6/4. How’s that ring your zell?
BUY
Ed Davis – I know he sounds like the guy who’s worked in accounting for 17 years and has a coffee mug that says “#1 Dad,” but this guy has been a solid choice at PF or C. He’s still only 40% owned, and he’s been giving those 40% of owners 15 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists every night. What do you need? Blocks?
Amir Johnson – Okay, so you want blocks. Sacrifice some points (13 instead of 15) for a block, and you still get 8 rebounds, 2 1/2 assists, and 1 1/2 steals. Bam. Even better than Davis, and he’s only 43% owned. That’s it, I quit!
Shannon Brown – Alright, I’m back. He’s not a big man, but over the past week, he’s been producing 16 points, 3 1/2 boards, 2 1/2 assists, and 4 steals. Those points have been steady all month. He’s 24% owned. Don’t guard your heart, guard your team! Okay, one caveat: this is a soft buy. Don’t trade a guy like Nicolas Batum for him. Drop Jason Terry (see below) for him.
Kyle Korver – Over the past week, he has been a top 15 player with 16 points, 4 threes, 4 1/2 boards, 2 dimes and a steal. His production will come down, especially as Atlanta sorts itself out with injuries, but he has still been a decent option for a while now. May as well grab him in a non-sexual way while his decency has become indecent in a sexual way.
SELL
Jason Terry – Over the past 2 weeks, he’s averaging a miserably 5 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists and 1 steal in less than 20 minutes (including 2/2/3 last night). This guy may be a “dump” at this point. If Terry is a pirate, he walked the plank a long time ago.
Marcus Thornton – You probably should have ditched him a while ago, but now he’s worse than ever. His only value came from points and threes, and those have been low. Since returning on January 12, he’s scored 18 or more points twice and 8 or less 5 times. He’s 9 for his last 29 from downtown. What else does he have to do for you to give up on him?

Every add is long gone in my league.
Own Pau/Dwight and need a bench PF/C for flexibility/injury purposes – rank Biyombo,Taj,Maxiell,Arthur
@Jay: Depends on your scoring format. I have them Biyombo, Maxiell, Taj, Arthur, but if Biyombo’s blocks aren’t worth much to you, I’d put Maxiell over him. I also made a speculative pickup of Arthur in a league with similar WW options the other day, to see if he keeps putting up decent lines after the Speights trade. If all those guys are on your wire, Arthur might be the one I grab first, since if he puts up another 20-9 tonight you won’t be able to get him. Maxiell and Biyombo have both had a couple decent games in a row without being picked up in your league, so at least one of them should still be there in a couple days if Arthur puts up stinkers this weekend.
@Steve Stevenson: ^ Fair.
Struggling at C with Varejao done and Pekovic gimpy. Been offered M. Gasol and T. Gibson for Pierce and Jack. Jack (who I love) would be replaced in my lineup by G. Hill, Pierce would be replaced by some WW chump like Gibson, Odom, Gee, Biyombo or Maxiell, and Gasol would be replacing Hawes.
It’s a H2H league where league playoffs track the NBA playoffs, so Gasol and Jack both have a little extra value in that they’re on good teams and could be kept for the playoffs (as would Pierce if the Celtics get it together). My team is solidly in playoff position so I’m just looking to tread water and stockpile any potential playoff assets. Take the deal for Gasol, or keep rolling with Pierce and Jack, along with a Pekovic-Hawes C tandem?
@Steve Stevenson: I think Pek will be fine down the stretch, although I would probably go for the trade. I like Gasol and Taj isn’t terrible. JJ is a good piece and I can see how you would miss him, but it looks like the trade will help you.
Would you drop Dudley for or MWP for Korver? or keep Dudley?
@Jeff: sorry DROP DUDLEY OR MWP FOR KORVER**
@Jeff: I could see dropping dudley but I’d hold on to metta.
Copying a comment from yesterday In a league where my boy lou will got injured it left me with this team in a 16-team, very deep league (h2h/standard cats)
Pg: Dragic, George hill, Kendall Marshall
Sg: James Harden, Dwayne Wade,
Sf: Nicolas Batum, Landry Fields, Turkoglu
Pf: Lamar Odom, Markieff Morris, Seraphin
C: Monroe, Kevin Garnett, Kendrick Perkins, Andrew Bynum
is there a way for me to redeem my team back to the top of the charts? I’m currently second in the league, but I would like to get my 3′s back up. One person has suggested I try to move hill before granger comes back to get someone with 3′s and peripheral stats. What do you think?
@Pavel: Sounds like your team is top of the charts already, but if you need 3′s target a shooter: Curry, Korver, Redick, Delfino, K Martin, Ray Allen. George Hill should be enough to net one of those guys. I know your league is deep but Marshall could probably be dropped if there’s threes on the wire.
@Blairtch: Thanks for the help. As per your advice, I’ve tried to shop hill around, and I’ve received an offer of:
Hill/Monroe
for
Nowitzki/Lowry
what do you say?
@Pavel: Solves your threes problem but Monroe is way too valuable, I would need more.
@Blairtch: His team is last and he’s got:
Jrue, Ginobli, WAll, Barnes, Amir Johnson, Nowitzki, Maxiell, Rose, Mullens, Rubio, Bledsoe, and Lowry. Those are his notables. What do you think?
@Pavel: I don’t think any of those players are going to replace what Monroe is giving you. I’d hold.
drop shump to add shannon brown?
which one do you prefer?
@Hans: Shannon Brown
is it time to give up on gwall? he can never be healthy for more than a couple games and his stats are very disappointing.
@Shogun: Yeah, not enough ball to go around, this isn’t Charlotte. If there are better options in free agency I couldn’t blame you for dropping him in a 12-team league.
Hey Chris,
thanks for freeing up some roster space for me, gonna pick up Amir for Thornton, trying to a make a run for the playoffs. I also have IT2 and Tyreke, and suggestions on how to trade them or who to target with those 2?
Thanks
Rev
@RevClyburn: It would help to know your roster.
