Deron Williams' 9 cat BBM rankings since 06-07: 66, 31, 28, 22, 24, 39

His threes have gotten better, but his FG% has gotten worse, and unless he manages to post substantially more steals or something (unlikely) then a finish in the 20-30 range seems more than likely, as you said - just like his last two years on the Jazz. Elite, yes, but first rounder? Maybe not.

That said, I'm willing to pay a premium for his consistency, and for the newfound quality team mates, but I may let someone else draft him at the turn when there are a bunch of good young point guards to pick from in the early rounds. Mind you the ranking here isn't that far off my own, but a handful of spots makes a big difference in the first two rounds.

@JP, I'd say per game numbers of 19 pts/4 rbs/ 10 ast/ 1 steal /1 three with %'s of 47 FG and 80 FT (last 2 full years on Jazz) make you an elite PG. Is he Chris Paul? No. Elite? With those numbers, yes.

@James Redacted,

Deron's never been elite in fantasy. He has never been a top 12 player, yet all the experts continually rank him as one. Will this be the year he finally breaks out as an elite fantasy player? Maybe but I doubt it. Also, don't forget that he's played with some very good Utah teams before. Is this BKN team really that stacked with past their prime Joe Johnson & GWallace?

There are some young and emerging PG's that I'd rather have, including the 3 guys mentioned above (Lawson, Jennings & Dragic) and would also rather have Steph Curry, assuming he has no ankle issues in training camp and preseason.
