After recording three wins in a row the Suns have now suffered back-to-back losses. It appears the Suns are setting again, but the most recent shakeup to the starting line up may prove there’s still fantasy value to be had in Phoenix. Yes, Suns FA pick ups just in time for Daylight Savings–first, the Morris Twins–Markieff Morris had 9 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists, and Marcus Morris had 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. You know I’m a sucker for the twinsies starting together–pulls at all the right heartstrings. This is real basketball people. But I must say fantasy-wise it’s hard to tell them apart–they’re both pretty mediocre. They’re worth watching for now, but if you’re have to own one, Marcus is the brother to own, but they don’t recommend separating the two.

Wesley Johnson could be an even better pick up, and Friday he scored 19 points, with 4 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block in the start. Wes has developed a sixth man-type role over the past few games but he got the start last night over Jared Dudley and made coach proud. Johnson, a former top 10 pick,  always had the pedigree to do this, maybe its about time he got it done. Wesley was the only one who could save Princess Buttercup and if he can continue to play well in this role, maybe he could save your fantasy team come playoff time.

Here’s what else happened in fantasy basketball Friday night:

Kyle Korver was unstoppable Friday night, leading Atlanta to a huge 2OT win with 27 points, including 8 3-pointers made, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. The Korv started his second game in a row in place of Anthony Morrow, and again he took advantage.  He was actually calling for the ball in this one too, dude was absolutely en fuego, hashtag could not miss (did I do that right?).

Elton Brand played 33 minutes in the Mavs/Thunder OT thriller Friday night and scored 10 points with 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, and he has now double-doubled in back to back games. You’ve been Branded! EB is starting to get comfortable with his new sixth man role, and Friday’s game was his fourth in a row scoring in double-digits, including a sweet season high 20 point game last Sunday.

I don’t care who you are, if you are able to get a triple double then you deserve some praise.  Well, unless it’s one of those triple doubles with 10 turnovers.  Jordan Crawford has been inserted into the starting lineup and has been a plus player in just about every category (not FG%).  Last night he went for 27 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists and a scorching 5 of 10 from behind the arc.  Last week I wrote that you should pick him up if you can handle the FG% hit.  If he’s still on your wire, stop reading and go pick him up.  Even if you can’t take the hit, just pick him up and trade him to someone else.  He will be a valuable player this year.  Here’s what else happened around the NBA last night:

Devin Harris – Got the start, yay!  Played only 14 minutes, boo!  8 points, 1 assist, 1 steal, yuck!

In Kyrie Irving’s first game back from injury, he helped the Cavs beat the Lakers.  Surprised?  You shouldn’t be, because the Lakers stink right now.  Now a confession… the headline was lying.  Now are you surprised?  Irving punished the Lakers going 28/6/11/1 with four 3PM and shooting 11-21 from the field.  Now that he has shaken off the rust, we should expect him to score 100 points in his next game.  Sorry that’s irrational me.  Rational me says if you own Irving then be very happy, and if you traded for him, then make fun of the owner that traded him to you immediately.  Like right now.  DO IT NOW.  Yikes!
