My favorite thing in basketball, besides a bunch of other stuff, is the triple double. It should come as no surprise that Kobe Bryant had one. The future Hall of Famer scored 22 points, grabbed 11 boards, and handed out 11 dimes.

Well, it appears as if we’ve beaten the NBA in handing out awards for a second straight season. Now, if any of our awards coincide with the Association’s awards, I’ll be able to claim the league as a loyal Razzball reader when I solicit companies to advertise on the site. Yes, I know the voting for the NBA’s awards ended weeks ago (such as it is in a crippling, Lockout-shortened year), but did you know that the voting for these awards ended weeks ago, too?

Seven dimes is pretty outstanding, but getting three more would have been the equivalent of scoring about 10-12 more points.

From out of nowhere, DeMarcus Cousins decided he was unhappy with the team’s direction. Makes sense. It’s been four games into a lockout-shortened season in which 75 percent of the league is still grossly out of shape, why wouldn’t a sophomore demand an immediate shot at a championship.
Please, blog, may I have some more? With the top 20, top 10, top 20 PG and top 20 SG for 2011 fantasy basketball in the can, it’s time to gander at the 20 best fantasy swingmen (“fantasy swingmen” sounds naughty) for 2011. Not be spoil things, but the two best players in basketball play the three-spot.
Please, blog, may I have some more?I hear that all your favorite NBA players are playing basketball overseas next year. I hear that all your favorite teams and all my favorite teams are holding cheerleader tryouts for the next six months. I hear that the captains of our favorite teams are all moving to Turkey and China to start hoops camps for children, or whomever, really.

Having only played one game since Christmas, Varejao will miss the remainder of the season with a torn foot tendon.
Please, blog, may I have some more? How do you pronounce Shawne Williams‘ first name? Is he going to add an apostrophe after a few more games like Stoudemire? Make it Shawn’e? Or is it pronounced “Shawn-E?” Weren’t the Shawnee an American Indian tribe wiped out by smallpox in the mid-1800s?
Please, blog, may I have some more?Everyone remembers the Kings from 10 years ago with C-Webb, a spry Mike Bibby, Hedo, Vlade, Doug Christie’s wife, and head coach Rick Adelman. These days it is a completely different team, but the Kings are again loaded with talent. It might not be this year or the next, but with a probable top 10 pick and with a deadly duo of Tyreke Evans and Boogie Cousins, the Kings’ future gets brighter everyday.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Kevin Garnett intensified the normally routine preseason on Tuesday by earning a technical foul and then laughing about it. The refs mistook the smile for Cagey bearing his teeth and ejected him after the second technical. To be fair, he earned that first technical by calmly discussing a foul call, which the new NBA rule (a week away from becoming an old NBA rule), says you can no longer do.
