My favorite thing in basketball, besides a bunch of other stuff, is the triple double. It should come as no surprise that Kobe Bryant had one. The future Hall of Famer scored 22 points, grabbed 11 boards, and handed out 11 dimes.

I won’t sit here and lie to you. I watch every Miami Heat game (or try to), hence the Mario Chalmers buy last week (speaking of Chalmers he strained his triceps last night but is day to day). You may be like, “Yo Redacted you’re totally biased cause you’re a heat fan” but I think I’m pretty objective. I saw improvement in Chalmers’ passing ability and my observations were confirmed by actual, real NBA analysts so it isn’t just my Heat love. Of course this week Chalmers took a dump on the court and millions of viewers were horrified. So getting to my actual buy, Ray Allen is the anti-OJ in that the glove fits. The guy is lighting it up in Miami because he is 1) Healthy; 2) WIDE OPEN ALL THE TIME; 3) See #1; 4) See #2; and finally 5) See #’s 3 and 4. I’d look for Top 50 production all season long, although in the second half of the season we may see the Heat reduce his minutes some to keep him fresh for the playoffs.
Please, blog, may I have some more?As I mentioned last week, every Wednesday I will release tiers for G/F/C in rotating fashion. This early in the season, there won’t be too many changes unless dudes like Danny Granger or Brandon Rush go out for a lengthy amount of time.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Rasheed Wallace. Yep, I dared team Ballin Like Smush to do it and he is now the proud owner of ‘Sheed for $1 (until waivers on Thursday kicks in at least). This, in a way, shows the beauty of an auction. You can start nominating the top guys like LeBron James or try to squeeze a sleeper like Aaron Brooks past the other owners who aren’t sure how to spend just yet. In this post, I’m going to go over the draft from Monday, explain my strategy, and what I thought the steals and reaches were. Here are the results from the draft.
Please, blog, may I have some more? Here it is, friends, the big kahuna. It’s like when your friends sit around and say, “what are your top 30 Arnold Schwarzenegger movies?” Only instead of that, it’s me telling you the top 100 basketball players for fantasy basketball purposes. Now this is going to shock you, but I would not really go by this list during my draft.
Please, blog, may I have some more? We’ve all heard the snarky comment, those who can’t do, teach. Well, those who can’t play basketball play Small Forward. Now, both of those statements are not entirely true, and I’m really just being hateful. There are some great Small Forwards, but this position gets really weak really fast.
Please, blog, may I have some more?I’m just going to come right out and say it, I will be lovin’ me some Nicolas Batum this upcoming season. This love is completely platonic, or as the kids like to say, no homo; although, he does have a dashing smile and resembles a young Obama.
Please, blog, may I have some more?We looked at the top 20 shooting guards for 2011 on Monday. Today? The 20 best fantasy swingmen (“fantasy swingmen” sounds naughty) from the year (or four months, as the case may be) that was. You know the deal, here’s my preseason Top 20 Small Forwards for 2011.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Derrick Rose finally returned to the court against the Knickerbockers Sunday after missing 12 games with a groin injury. That is the longest period of time someone has been incapacitated by a groin-related issue since the summer when the 13-year-old me discovered a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Yeah, you caught me. You didn’t believe it because there aren’t any grizzly bears in Memphis. Look how smart you are! ESPN readers would have tweeted the headline without thinking. Now if the headline read “Gilbert Arenas Fights Grizzly Bear In Vancouver” then you totally would have believed it.
