Forward Thinking

As I mentioned last week, every Wednesday I will release tiers for G/F/C in rotating fashion.  This early in the season, there won’t be too many changes unless dudes like Danny Granger or Brandon Rush go out for a lengthy amount of time.

O.J. Mayo, Part Of A Complete Fastbreak

Like his white gooey namesake, O.J. Mayo globbed on 32 points thanks in part to 6 of 8 three point attempts (that’s 18 points from downtown for those of you keeping score at home). He only had 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals, but the guy was busy carrying the entire team on his shoulders, so we can probably give him a pass.

Harden Man Dinner

In terms of actual acquisition versus projected round/value, James Harden was one of the top three players in any draft I participted in. People were anxious to get a hold of the great bearded one. Why? Well, last night was a reason why.

Ask and ye shall receive (unless it’s money, I’m broke).  If you see anyone I missed or guys that you think should be included (I did NOT miss Hasheem Thabeet), shout it out in the comments.  I’ll tell you which tier I’d put em in or why I did not/would not include them.

Son of Richard Avenges Father, Presuming Father Needed Avenging

The Sixers had to have been impressed by the performance of Jason Richardson last night, where he did what the Knicks deep threat couldn’t (more on that later) and scored 6 of 12 from downtown, finishing with 23 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and a block.

2012-2013 Fantasy Basketball Rankings, The Top 200

It’s the moment all (some) of you (me?) have been waiting for, the top 200. This will polish off our 2012-2013 fantasy basketball rankings, which is good, because trying to value 6 rebounds per game versus 4 assists per game can make a man go crazy.

How The Sixers Got Sicker

July 1, 2012 | 2012 Fantasy Basketball Draft |

by: ChrisV+

The Philadelphia 76ers spent last season going up and down more often than a junkie on a see saw (happy belated father’s day, dad!). Even though they finished the year strong, questions swirled around the team like the Riddler was at point guard.

Top 20 Power Forwards, 2011 Fantasy Basketball

Point guards, shooting guards and small forwards have all been accounted for. Now, call this list the “anti-small forward.” With the exception of maybe Amar’e, injuries and general suckitude  didn’t dictate the direction this list took. For the record, Amar’e experienced both.

That Drew Sure is Gooden!

Drew Gooden is like a cockroach. Just when you think his career is over, he resurrects in the Bucks frontcourt. Then he injures his wrist and misses some time, and you’re thinking, “the joyride is over, right?” Wrong! And then he goes and tweaks his back in his first game back on the court, which has GOT to slow him down, right?

Chris Kaman Saw And Kicked Ass

Chris Kaman is back in the starting lineup and should be back in your lineu,p too . He should have been in all lineups last night, but I can’t eat anyone’s lunch for keeping him out one game to see what he’d do.
