Harrington Dislocates From Denver

At this point, any news involving anyone on the Nuggets can be considered Carmelo news. It’s ‘Melo’s galaxy, everyone else is just orbiting in it, baby! That includes Al Harrington, who left in the first quarter with what was described as a dislocated thumb.

Wayward Jennings

Toddlers and retailers aren’t the only one jazzed about the holiday season. Half the damn league seems to have put in to take vacations around the same time: for about six weeks starting right now. I already went over the spate of all-stars missing substantial playing time last week.

D.C., Orlando Exchange Wizard Magic

I spend one afternoon caroling in my neighborhood and lookit what happens: I return to a league that colluded to all swap jerseys and make me nuts. There’s no way, I’m going to be able to remember that a) Hedo Turkoglu is not on the Suns, b) Hedo Turkoglu was ever not on the Magic and c) Vince Carter isn’t on a pitiful D.C.

Terrence & The Machine

By the end of this season, Terrence Williams‘ suitcase is going to have more stickers on it than my Trapper Keeper during the Garbage Pail Kids era. T’Will went from the Nets to the D-League and back only to get shipped off to Houston in a blockbuster trade to be finalized later today.

Ersan In The Membrane

It’s a good bet that I’m talking to deep leaguers if I dedicate this much space to a guy who’s only started in four games, and averaging 23 minutes this season on a Bucks team that seems to consist of Brandon Jennings, Andrew Bogut and, like, 10 6-foot-9 guys who do everything and nothing simultaneously.

Shawne With The Win

How do you pronounce Shawne Williams‘ first name? Is he going to add an apostrophe after a few more games like Stoudemire? Make it Shawn’e? Or is it pronounced “Shawn-E?” Weren’t the Shawnee an American Indian tribe wiped out by smallpox in the mid-1800s?

When I called the first Killers album “crappy,” I was wrong (shoulda saved that opinion for their last two). When I guessed that ‘Lost’ was all in Hurley’s head, I was wrong. When I said that no Ben & Jerry’s flavor could ever top Phish Food, I was wrong (shout out to Americone Dream!

Putting A Dampier On Your Spirits

November 23, 2010 | Fantasy Basketball Daily Notes | 24 Comments

Heat GM Pat Riley was undoubtedly pursuing Erick Dampier ever since it was apparent than Joel Anthony was going to spend the season getting tossed around by the opposition like the losing rooster in a cock fight. I mean, this old man has been wooed harder than the 70-year-old billionaires with profiles on eHarmony.

In The Land O’Lakes, Beasley’s Like Buttah

November 16, 2010 | Fantasy Basketball Daily Notes | 38 Comments

by: Adam+

The Minnesota brass tried to warn us. They told the whole world Michael Beasley had cleaned up his act, rededicated himself and bought, like, five braid pattern books for his hair in the offseason. And so far, dude is charging through defenses and those cornrow styling publications at an alarming clip.

The Big Three Killed My Baby

I’m sorry to lead today’s Add/Drop with a player that will neither be added nor dropped in most leagues. Sometimes when one is struck with a chilling thought, one must rattle the cage of protocol from time to time. We all may have grossly overestimated Chris Bosh‘s fantasy value as a member of the Miami Heat.
