In non-NBA news, Kentucky defeated Kansas 67-59 to win the national title (and hopefully your bracket. Actually your coworker who picked teams based on mascots probably won it). Maybe Anthony Davis will finally shave off his playoff Unibrow… Hmmm playoffs.

When it comes to fantasy playoffs, you have to be cold. No attachments. No remorse. In any H2H redraft (non-keeper) league, you can’t be afraid to drop a player that is day-to-day or struggling badly. Now, do you drop a top 40 player who has been having a bad few games to pick up a player ranked 150th?
Please, blog, may I have some more?Alonzo Gee will never be good enough for Cleveland. It doesn’t matter what he does. He could lead the NBA in scoring. He could win the MVP award. He could lead the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals. He could run a successful mayoral campaign and revive the city’s economy.
Please, blog, may I have some more?I thought about naming this post “The Buck Swaps Here,” but then I realized that no one cares about the Bucks. Which means that Monta Ellis is dead to the NBA fan. It was a nice run. We all shared some laughs and we’ll remember the good times.
Please, blog, may I have some more?“Sessions with Ramon” sounds like a show on public radio highlighting latin jazz fusion. That sounds like it may be interesting in the sense that if you’re driving in your car and you turn to the station (presuming you don’t have satellite radio or some sweet ass Pandora setup), you can expose yourself to some “world music” and consider yourself slightly more cultured.
Please, blog, may I have some more? This year’s fourth overall pick, Tristan Thompson, has some growin’ to do. He’s going to need to learn to distribute the ball at least a little better. In five games, he’s amassed two dimes. Two dimes in 10 days. That’s less than my great grandfather made selling a day’s worth of newspapers.
Please, blog, may I have some more?I added Robin Lopez in two of my leagues. I didn’t like doing it, but anytime a guy who was overhyped last year drops 21/7 in 27 reserve minutes, you kind of got to throw away your last pick and take a chance.
Please, blog, may I have some more?It was fairly obvious to everybody that Darren Collison was the best player involved in the four-team trade that sent him to Indiana last summer. Trevor Ariza was absolutely awful for the Hornets, Courtney Lee wasn’t much better and I can’t recall Troy Murphy making an impact play also season long.
Please, blog, may I have some more?(Today’s post title is for all you connoisseurs of niche comedians from the ’80s.) Stephen Jackson is hobbled, but played anyway. If you have another option, go with it, because Jackson ran up and down the court last night like Pacino at the end of ‘Dick Tracy.’ (Deep cut!) The word out of Northc’alina is that if the Bobcats lost to the Pacers (effectively wiping away their playoff hopes), Stack Jacks would be shut down for the season.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Houston’s Chase Budinger has averaged 30 mpg in the three games since Thursday’s trade deadline. In that small sample size, Budinger has averaged .516/.850, along with 2.7 3pg/21.7 ppg/5.3 rpg. I don’t need to tell you how outstanding that production is from a player owned in fewer than 25 percent of fantasy leagues.
