Don't be shellfish...Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterShare on Google+

Welcome back from Thanksgiving!  After a week of indulgent eating, I’m back with an extra 20 lbs of writing weight.  Those drumsticks went right into my index fingers.  So I didn’t learn the typical QWERTY typing method, sue me!  I taught myself how to type in “Olsen Twins Turn 18 Countdown” chat rooms when I was in middle school…  Fantasy hoops had a ton go down through the Turkey Day holiday, although Omer Asik wasn’t traded to the Magic for Hedo Turkoglu.  Now that would’ve been a Turkey Day!  Of all the things that went down, I am positively giddy for the run Patrick Beverley is about to give us with Jeremy Lin set to miss two weeks with a knee strain.  Thanks in part to Slim’s water torture, I’m a big Beverley believer for some real mulit-cat upside.  Early returns started slow, with PBev going 7/2/2/2/0 the game Lin got hurt during the first quarter, then only 5/4/1/0/0 in 24 minutes on the Friday night.  But on Saturday against the Spurs, 11/6/5/3/1 no turnovers and three treys.  “Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about!”  Thanks Maury Ballstein.  Even though PBev isn’t a focal point of the offense, I buy the peripheral stats, and a must-have addition to your own “Balls Models” squads.  Steals, boards a-plenty, with some dimes and out-of-position blocks will floweth like a river.  Or Slim’s water torture device.  You said you weren’t into S&M!  This is my fantasy update writing of shame… Here’s what else I saw since we last checked in:

Anthony Davis – Would’ve been the lead if I hadn’t already written the open…  It’s all the tryptophan… Making me lazy!  Absolutely brutal injury for fantasy owners as he broke his hand last night.  The fracture was non-displaced, which sounds better than displaced.  When I played Operation, having anything displaced was never good… No official timetable has been released at the time of this writing, and I’d guess it’s at least 4 weeks.

J.J. Redick – Out 6-8 weeks with a broken hand and torn ligament in his elbow.  Pretty much what would happen to Bilbo if the dragon made him give him a handsy.  “Isn’t Redick a shooter and a guy who relies on his hands?”  You sir, inner monologue, are correct!  Yeah, he’s droppable in all leagues.  What’s up with these brittle hands?!  Jamal Crawford gets a minor boost, but he was getting run and shots anyway.  I think the biggest boost goes to Darren Collison, even though Willie Green is technically starting and ignorable.  Wow, ignorable didn’t get a red underline!  I thought I made that word up…  Collison should stay at over 20 minutes a night for some cheap scoring/diming in deeper leagues.

Brandon Knight – Whoa, look at this triple-double flirt!  One of my big sleepers this year couldn’t get healthy, and is finally banking on some of what I hoped for with a 20/9/8 game with only 3 TOs and the Bucks actually won!  And three straight games now he’s gone over 30 minutes.  Should solidify his spot if there was any concern.  He was spotted with some ice on his shoulder, but it’s better than having a chip on there!  Be sure he’s owned in your league.

Derrick Williams – What the Shaq-ra-mento?!  Got 32 minutes and a start in his Kings debut for 12/6/4 then 4/7 last night in only 22 minutes.  What?!  The Kings don’t play consistent rotations?  Shocker!  I think a new term I might try out is instead of saying “shocker” just yell “Wichita State”!  You’ll have to let me know how that goes… Hey, the Kings are playing him and he has upside for the deeper leagues.

Kevin Durant – Double rainbow line!  I think only the second on the year to Josh Smith‘s on Nov. 15 but I mighta missed one.  I would think they’re extremely rare… Where’s Olajuwon and his quadruple-double?!  32/10/12/4/4 for probably the best slash of the year.  Why he’s the King!  Sorry Bron.

Martell Webster – Sure I’m quoting some ThrAGNOF stats, but 18+ with 4+ threes in 3 of the past 4 since we last checked in.  But he boards and steals too and has a place on every roster… If only someone had loved him for oh so long!

Ryan Anderson – Hugo Weaving was watching his team’s stat tracker, and every time Ryan hit a three he grinned and muttered “Mr. Anderson”… He doesn’t really get that big a boost in value with the Brow out – he plays big minutes anyway and has his bum toe to deal with himself.  But he’s been huge putting down 31 last night.

Victor Oladipo – Becoming “Mr. Multi Cat”.  Or the name for that creepy old dude that lives alone in your neighborhood.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist – Got the ol’ Plantar’s Peanuts.  I mean Fascitis.  Was able to return yesterday for 6/4/0/0/0.  I’ve been holding out for him despite ups and downs, but I don’t like anyone trying to play through that kind of injury.  Especially such a young rookie without a refined game.  Droppable nearly everywhere now, I’m giving up.  Waive the white flag.  Flog the molly.

Andrew Bynum – Dude, he looks old slow and fat.  Then when he gets into the paint he explodes.  On the one hand, he kinda looks lazy any time he’s not down low, but on the other he looks like he’s able to manage he’s crappy knees.  Got 30+ minutes and the first time over 23:27 all year for 20/10/3/0/5.  I think he’s worth the gamble.  As much as I don’t like him.  But he’s an easy cut if he goes back down in either production or with injury issues.

Andre Drummond - You win Razzball readers… You win…  Just a preposterous 31/19/0/6/2 line.  In my defense, again no assists and shot 7-18 from the stripe – as both are black holes in his game.  But with upside like that everywhere else, yeah, I was wrong to be shy on him.  I was like a virgin at senior prom.  Now I’m like David Duchovny at… a senior prom.

Jonas Valanciunas – Luminescent Lithuanian sighting!  18/11 with 3 blocks playing 37 minutes after only 17 last game.  I tried to buy low and no one gave me the time of day.  I was like, “camon I don’t have a watch!”

Chandler Parsons – His back is giving out.  Maybe it’s from Monica riding him too hard.  “Dude, you are so lazy can’t you get on top for once?!”  Keep an eye on his status as an inactive may be coming at some point.

John Henson – Got a start!!!! Fantasy owners rejoice!!!! And ran with it, going 13/13/3/0/3 in his second-highest minute total of 34.  I’ve been a big Henson believer through all the random iterations Larry Drew has been putting out there, and like Knight, should solidify Henson’s role off the W.  Even if it did come at the expense of Ersan Ilyasova missing the game with a bum hammy.  Henson should be owned in almost all leagues.

Pau Gasol – Getting an MRI on his ankle today.  Shot only 3-15 yesterday and pulling the ol’ Gordon Hayward “I was injured!”   The Lakers are so olddddd…  Shawne Williams has some upside should Gasol miss any time and you need some depth.  He hits threes, blocks, and has 8+ boards in the past three.

Trey Burke – Went for a career-high 20 in a Jazz win.  The Jazz won a game…?  Wichita State!  20/6/3/2.  Starting to come together.  14+ shots in the past three as well, with two being wins.  He’s like Rudy Gay, but a PG…

Jose Calderon – Missing games with a bruised ankle.  “It’s only the tapas of my ankle!”  Gal Mekel got a start going 6/7 but shot only 3-12.  Still, in deeper leagues I gave you a Mekel radar sighting!  A little surprising that Mekel got the start and 27 minutes to Shane Larkin‘s 17 off the bench, given it looked like Larkin had won the #2 PG role.  Sure it’s only a bruised ankle, but Calderon has had injury issues throughout his NBA career and Mekel would be interesting even in 12-teamers should anything ever happen to Calderon long-term.

Andray Blatche – After a brutal game on Friday going 0-6, went for 21/8/1/1/1 with three 3s on Saturday.  The Nets are so brutally bad, hurt and inconsistent that Blatche has to be believed a little bit.  Even though in most leagues I’m in, I’m not exactly champing at the bit to grab him.

Tony Snell – I didn’t see too many games the past few days, but I watched Bynum’s Cavs and Snell’s Bulls Saturday night.  His slash of 18/4/2/1/0 didn’t do justice to how good he looked out there.  Two straight games of 3 treys and double-digit scoring, plus I think he can chip in the ancillary stats.  If he’s not owned in 14+ teamers, use your team to fix it!

I’m sure there’s a million more notes to hit on, but now that we’re back to the daily sched, I’m gonna be back on em all!  I don’t have highlights until Wednesday, but I’ll be breaking down all the action every day again and good luck in week 6!

Hi who are some possible trade options for Tim Duncan who generates the same stats?

@Tom: Derrick Favors maybe a few more blks but less scoring. Tough to trade Duncan right now

Should I hang onto Jordan Hill?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@The Fantasy Dick: Depends on league size and who’s out there, but I have no issue cutting

      • @JB Gilpin:
Gasol also getting MRI today, I would hold until results are released. FYI – Hill also sprained his ankle badly over the holiday weekend which impacted his output. While I agree it depends on league size and what mood ‘Antoni is in, still like the double-double upside nightly with 30+ min of run.

And I didn’t even mention “him” yet. ;)

Knew you’d come around. See what I mean about those swipes! Sexy.

@El Burro: Thanks Guys, great input. I didn’t realize Hill had an ankle problem, makes it tough to run like D’Antoni likes. Also, with Kobe come back there should be a lot more offensive rebound opportunities…zing

Glad you got thick skin. You’re good ppl, JB’izel.

In this week’s deep waiver wire news, who do you like of these 4 dudes:

                1) Al Farouq Aminu – likely starting in NO for next 3-4 weeks while GOD is out of line-up. Although I could see them going small and giving Tyreke more run, keep Smith at the 5 with Ryan at the 4… Maybe a good comp for output is Derrick Williams
‘ish with better defense? 10-7-1-1 possibly?

                2) Wesley Johnson – loving the 3pm/block combo. Full disclosure – been on my bench for last 2 weeks. Will be Interesting to see impact of Kobe on this line-up, cause Wes is playing a pretty solid SF, and I can’t see Nick Young or Jodie Meeks being big enough to defend SF in the west. Could Wes stick at SF?

                3) Hollis Thompson – “defensive” insert into Philly. Could get run, they are still going nowhere. Run = production.

                4) Iman Shumpert – can see a few scenarios where he’s traded; Knicks are a disaster. Offense is not his forte, but it could be in the right environment… maybe, likely not. Talking myself outta this. Ok, fine. He’s just a stash, I guess. Right?

                • JB Gilpin

                  JB Gilpin says:
                  (link)

@EL BURRO: Dude, impossible to replace god! Not big on Aminu. 2 – Yeah I think he could, he ans Shawne Williams are like, the same, with witness protection names… 3) nah, not a Thompson fan either, just not that good. 4) agree, and I think he has the most upside with possible/likely trade. I think I’d want Johnson first then Iman as ROS

                  • @JB Gilpin:

We see shit the same, so that’s nice. Appreciate the take.

  3. Steve Stevenson says:

    H2H pts league, start 4G, 4F, 2C and a Util. Out of this crew, pick 2 G, 1 F, 1 C and a Util:

    G: R. Jackson (4G, ok matchups), Nate (4G, good matchups), IT2 (3G, ok matchups)
    F: Nene (2G, ok matchups), Kieff (3G, so-so matchups)
C: Big Baby (4G, good matchups), Bropez (3G, good matchups), Koufos (3G, ok matchups)

If I just maximize games played (starting Jackson, Nate, Kieff, Baby and either IT2 or Lopez at Util), I’d be one up on my opponent. But we also get a big bonus for dbl-dbls, which bumps up more marginal guys like Koufos and Nene who can get you 10 boards.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Steve Stevenson: I think I would play Reggie IT2 Nene Bro and Kouf. I agree with your marginal guys for dub dubs although Nene has been pretty solid and “un-marginal” the past few weeks.

      • Steve Stevenson says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Thanks. I was only calling Nene marginal insofar as he only has 2 games.

I’m in a 14 team h2h keeper league. We keep 5. Team is in my sig. Anyway I just completed a trade where I get favors and jordan hill for reddick george hill. Anyway I now have a trade on the table where I get anthony davis and evan turner for harden cousins. What should I do? He also has kemba and jennings. Should I try and sub either one of them in place of turner?
    14 team h2h keeper

    pg damian lillard
    g Jeff teague
    sg james harden
    sf kevin durant
    f john henson
    pf jordan hill
    c al jefferson

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Ryan: Maybe Cousins Lillard for Davis and Kemba or BJ. I don’t think giving up Harden is worth it and Evan Turner is playing at ultimate sell-high prices right now

@Jay: Dennis Green the old Cardinals coach? hah, jk I think you mean Danny, nah I’d hold all 3 of those guys for right now

  7. Good afternoon everyone! Well, I hit reset on my team again last night. The past three weeks have seen my team go 3-5, 3-5 and 4-4 so…

My James Harden & Kemba Walker for their Stephen Curry & Ricky Rubio

    and

My Damian Lillard & Nikola Vucevic for their Kevin Love

Both trades have been accepted and are under league review until tomorrow. My reasoning is simple. Looking to add assists with Rubio over Walker while maintaing scoring and treys with Curry. Adding Love gives me a consistent double-double machine but the loss of Lillard does sting slightly.

    Good luck to all!

    • Prodders says:
      (link)

@WNWDOTCOM: I think those are great moves, I think you’re getting the best player in each trade, and curry + klove is a great foundation, plus all the Rubio steals. Nice work!

      • @Prodders: Thanks! I’m just hoping these will be the start of a turnaround. I was up against the top team in our 12-team H2H Each Category league last week but the 4-4 draw just made me want to switch things up. I’m still targeting John Wall to have a foundation of Curry, Love and Wall.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@WNWDOTCOM: Yeah I like them both as well. March into the playoffs!

Your thoughts on the following trade..

I Get Kevin Love and David Lee for Rubio and Drummond.

Rest of my team is Conley, Ellis, Wall, Leonard, Deandre, Ibaka, Hawes, Afflalo. I’m first right now in steals (by over 80) and blocks and this league is a no turnover league.

    Thanks.

    • matt says:
      (link)

@agarthered: I would then I’d trade Lee for another guard@agarthered: yup then flip love for a beast SF like Bron or George if possible. You seem to have bigs covered. Or keep love and trade another guy. I don’t really care for more than 3-4 bigs. Idn.. someone else can chime in I suppose. I like fwds who get high avg with counting stats. You could try a buy low with lee for Davis since he’s hurt also :-)

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@agarthered: Yeah I think Love is easily the best player in the deal and I’d take Lee over Drummond anyway. Love it

Drop Felton for Knight? 8 cat

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@Fish: I think I actually would. Youth and upside even though both have been injury risks

  11. matt says:

    Ok so I traded
    Deron W.
    Lamarcus
    Derozan
    Wesley Matthews
    For-
    Thaddeus Young
    Brandon jennings
    Mike Conley
I know I overpaid but I need PG that contribute. I have plenty of bigs like Howard, millsap, Jones,Henson, Kustofus, Gasol (IR) I have steph curry, kobe, Parsons, blake, Illyvosa,Marion, Stephenson, Crawford, Mayo. Did I give up too much?

    • matt says:
      (link)

@matt: I just don’t just derons legs. He’s hurting my assists and other counting stats. I don’t consider derozen as anything other than a scorer. LA is the only one I didn’t want to give up but its the only way he’d do this deal cuz he’s PG heavy. I made his team weaker I think? Lol I mean I hope cuz his steals, 3’s, and assists are off the charts.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@matt: You addressed you team needs, and yeah you gave up LA as the best player in the deal, but Deron is tough to trade, DeRozan indeed isn’t multi-cat and Matthews is just a ThrAGNOF at times. I like it a lot, think it was the right price

      • matt says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: it was a gamble but I figured I’m getting 2 PG for him and I got thad for LA that’s kinda howI at it.DRosen is mostly waiver wire he’s just been playing over his head.I’m betting on him crashing back down to earth soon. GLAD that someone feels I did ok! Hopefully it’ll work out for me. Thanks

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Shaqtin’ACoon: Yeah if you could get Batum for that I definitely would. I know Mayo bounced back a little last game, but his usage has been a little scary and Hawes started a little too hot for his own skin. Like it

  13. Shaft says:
    (link)

Which of these trades (if any) do you like:

    1. Brook Lopez and Wilson Chandler for Favors and Hayward
    2. Blo and Chandler for Hibbert and kawhi
    3. blo and chandler for kobe and JV
    4. blo and blake for kobe and cousins

    Thanks!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Shaft: 1) eh… coin flip 2) LOVE 3) like it a lot, almost as much as 2 4) like this one too. I still believe in Kawhi being big and Hibbert gives you a lot of the the boards and more blocks you lose from BLO

      • Shaft says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Awesome, thanks! Hopefully i can get someone to do one of them.

Separately, assuming beal comes back relatively soon, can martell webster sustain any of his value? Can he still be a mid-round guy with ariza and beal starting?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Shaft: I think Webster would be fringe in that case, getting still 22-24ish minutes at the least with Beal forcably needing to get scaled back

  14. Richie says:

Paul Pierce has to be droppable now with this recent injury (2-4 weeks) right? He’s been downright terrible so far this season.

    • mike says:
      (link)

      @Richie:

I’m feeling the same way, maybe time to pick up Garnett if he’s available? I watch too many movies, I know, but it feels like an injury to Pierce could make Garnett go all HULK SMASH

@Jesse: Lowry is just so damn brittle… Since it helps your team needs I’m fine with it, but I think you might be able to get more

Would you trade off Rubio, Batum, and Sullinger for Paul George is that just too much?

    • teeque says:
      (link)

      @teeque:
      Here is my team:

      NBA 12 teams 9 cat:

PG: Rubio, Lowry, Dragic, Pat Beverly
      SG: Batum, Kyle Korver
      SF: Josh Smith
      PF: Lebron, Sullinger, Randolph
      C: Pekovic, Valanciuas, Dalembert, Sanders

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@teeque: I mean Sullinger is just filler, but I think it’s a bit rich. Of course George is best player but I think it’s overpaying a bit too high.

      • teeque says:
        (link)

        @JB Gilpin:

What would you counter him with based on my team? Would you do Batum and Lowry and Sullinger?

And to think i sold Anthony Davis low! Haha! Kinda dodged a wrench there. Also, Drummond won me my matchup last week. Was down 7 categories to 4, and ended up winning 6-5 and won by 2 Defensive boards and 3 FGM. Anyways, as usual I’ve thrown some trades out there to a couple different teams. What do you think?
1- My Cousins and Ellis for Durant and Jameer
2- My Drummond, Sullinger, and Tyreke for B Lopez, Pau, and Matthews
3- My Drummond, J Green, and Cousins, for his Dirk, Ibaka, and Wade

@Jake Van Zuiden: Also, I’ve been trying to register an account on here but it keeps saying I answered the Anit-bot question incorrectly or I entered the conformation code incorrectly. What up with that?!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Jake Van Zuiden: Nice! 1) Yeah if he takes it run with it! 2) Pau’s ankle is a little worrisome but I still think you win. 3) Another winner if he takes. Re the account… you mean like a forums account? you can ask Grey on that one if you’ve ever hopping over to Baseball

      • Jake Van Zuiden says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Another thing; Does Asik become a must add player when he gets traded? I mean he should go back to 10+ boards per game right? Also, do you buy what Evan Turner and Aaron Afflalo are doing? Should i maybe target them or will their value go down greatly with a high chance of being traded?

          • Jake Van Zuiden says:
            (link)

@Jake Van Zuiden: Also just got offered his Favors and Turner for My Lillard and Sullinger. Take it?

            • JB Gilpin

              JB Gilpin says:
              (link)

@Jake Van Zuiden: Mannnnn that one is dead close. I think I’d hold because I think Turner goes down and Lillard is best player

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Jake Van Zuiden: Must add? Nah I mean a ton depends on where he lands. I buy neither, Afflalo is a big trade target and Turner isn’t this good. Martin I buy though

  18. TR says:
    (link)

I got offered two trades and need some help coming to a decision on both.

    I was offered:

His David Lee for my Drummond
    &
His Stephenson & Beal for my Kemba & Hayward

    It’s H2H points so multi-cat doesn’t matter to me

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@TR: I would want Lee, and think it’s selling Drummond at a great sell high. I am worried about Beal’s leg, I wouldn’t do that one

      • TR says:
        (link)

        @JB Gilpin: thank you!

  19. JJ says:
    (link)

In a 12 team, 9 cat league. I got alot of point guards (Irving, Hill, Knight, Brooks, Beverley, and Stuckey) and I desperately need another Big. Thinking about dealing George Hill for Vucevic… would that make sense?

    • TR says:
      (link)

@JJ: Hate to be a jerk, but I’m not sure anyone who knows basketball will accept hill for Vucevic. Vucevic is just too good and too consistent

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@JJ: If you could get Vuc definitely take it! Virtually no chance it will get taken though

  20. Barenrewn says:

    Trade request advice:
Westbrook and Kobe for Harden and Hibbert, Cousins, or Favors

Still in negotiation but I’d get the Harden side.

    1) Would you do this?
    2) Should I ask for Hibbert, Cousins, or Favors?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Barenrewn: Yeah if you need some help up front I like it. Cousins has the most upside and would likely be my choice, unless you needed blocks direly.

  21. Michael says:
    (link)

    Hey JB

    My Lawson for Kyrie?

Also how would you rate these guys?
Blatche, Snell, Psycho-T, Aminu, Xavier, MKG, Vince Carter

Waiver wires so thin with all these injuries…
Picked up Farmar couple nights ago thinking I got him for Sunday which would help me with some steals/assists, but that failed miserably. Dropped him for Psycho-T. Now I’m second guessing my pick up and I need to make a move tonight as I got him for one more day.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Michael: Yeah I’d take Kyrie, would be a great move. I like Blatche the best of those right now with Pierce out for a bit with the broken hand

      • Michael says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: 2nd after Blatche? Waivers pretty low so I might not be able to acquire him.

        • JB Gilpin

@Michael: Ehhh probably Psycho with the upside of the starting role, but not in love with any of them

            @JB Gilpin: Thanks!

  22. Brendan says:

I’m looking to add Henson. Would you drop any of these players for him? My weakest area is FG% but I could also use a bump in Blks, Reb, and 3PTM. Henson helps me in three of those.

    Glen Davis
    Lou Williams
    J.J. Hickson

    • matt says:
      (link)

@Brendan: I’d have no prob droppingwilliiams or Big baby for Henson. I think henson is a must item in standard for now. Especially if he keeps getting 30+mins every night!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@Brendan: Yes, yes, and nah. Agree he is a big help for ya and agree with above!

  23. matt says:

What do you think is this strong? Just think with kobe back!
    Teague
    Harden
    Lebron
    Dwight
    ZBo
    Gortat
    OJ
    Henson
    Channing
    Trey Burke
    Illoyvosa
    Nene

  24. Bobby says:
    (link)

I’m basically just getting tired of Deron’s kankles, needing a big man and trying to sell high with what I have, H2H pts….What do you guys think is the best deal :

Klay and H. Barnes/Deron/W. Chandler for Aldridge ?
Klay and H. Barnes/Deron/W. Chandler for Drummond?
Klay and H. Barnes/Deron/W. Chandler for Blake Griffin?

Too risky, too dumb? Wait it out a little longer for Deron? Thanks!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Bobby: I hear ya on Deron… If you could turn Klay and Barnes or Chandler into Aldridge I’d do that in a heartbeat. I know Deron is killin ya, but Barnes and Chandler are not nearly as valuable. I like the other two as well, but Aldridge would be the big haul if it could work out

  25. Prodders says:

Weekly lineup, which three would you play please?

Hawes (3 games, sore knee a concern?), Leonard (3), Frye (3), Chandler (4, but been doing little), Evans (3). I have Curry so I probably have enough threes, so that’s not a big factor.

    Cheers!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@Prodders: I like Hawes Leonard and Evans, agree Chandler isnt doing much and 3s are his best

      • Prodders says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: God, that’s what I went with. FIngers crossed Hawes doesn’t regularly miss games.

  27. MB says:

Would you trade Danny Green for Bynum? I just don’t think Green’s value will ever recover, especially with San Antonio’s other options. Bynum is risky, but I rather have his upside. Your thoughts?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@MB: Agree entirely with the assessment. Bynum is riskier and any day now could miss the year with his knees going bad, or be a 15/10 2 blk threat every night. I’d take the upside too

thoughts on the following two trades:

    1. i give lawson/mclemore for kahwi/ilyasova
    2. i give favors for jrue holiday

Are any of these worth doing? Thanks!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@hamtime: 1. As much as I want to say buy Kawhi low, I don’t like it, Lawson is too big. 2. It’s close, I think depends on team needs.

  29. Chris says:

14 team keeper and Anthony Davis was dropped. I’m in 8th, 6.5 games back of the last playoff spot, so there’s time to catch up. How high would you bid to get him? One would think that nobody better is going to get dropped this season.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Chris: Ummm, whaaaaa?!?!? In a keeper?!??!! Yikes. I would hope no one better is going to get dropped! I’d spend all my FAAB if there’s no restrictions on keeper rules. I’d have to know budgets and inflation if it relates to the FAAB bid if he doesn’t become an automatic keeper if you only keep like 5 or something.
