Don't be shellfish...Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterShare on Google+
It’s Wednesday, which means a metric ass ton of NBA games tonight. If you’re involved with daily play sites like our dear friends DraftKings, especially if you’re looking to take advantage of their $5K Clash ($1,000 to the winner, $5,000 worth of payouts guaranteed!), you may be wondering which guys to target for tonight.

I’ve got some big studs and some more affordable pieces of meat to recommend. My #1 recommendation is O.J. Mayo, going up against a Houston defense that has remained in the bottom 5 for points allowed all season. Meanwhile, Mayo is coming out of his slump, ranked 7th overall the past week with generous points, rebounds and assists during that time.

Speaking of the Houston and Dallas game, both teams are defensively lax, and other good guys to target include Elton Brand, who has been performing well off the bench, and Darren Collison, who has tallied numbers that have made him a top point guard in January.

As bad as Houston and Dallas have been with defense, no team is worse than Washington, which is why it would be wise to target DeMarcus Cousins, coming off a dynamite performance on Monday, and Isaiah Thomas, especially with Aaron Brooks questionable with illness. You may even want to tap Tyreke Evans as he takes advantage of being back in the starting lineup.

If you want to roll out with a big stud, Kevin Durant ($10,500) and Russell Westbrook ($9,100) have both been scorching, but they will cost you. However, they are going up against Denver tonight, a team ranked 8th in points allowed this season. Durant has been ranked 1st and Westbrook 12th in production over the past week. That’s a recipe for awesome.

i traded LBJ and Westbrool/millsap and batum this season/harden/wade- prob a few other big names
    now I have love/bynum/lee/irving/dirk/bosh/lawson/nash/Tristan Thompson/++
league is board heavy and my record 88-32-23 (1st) right now
yet all these trades happened over xmas holiday

talk about risk but three guys under me had some serious bigs and though i won the first part of the season, I see/think i need to add and so I gave me best keepers away for value.
yet love/irving and all the rest are pretty darn good keepers, i see irving/love being the future of nba.. and.. love wasn’t hurt when u sent the lbj deal which was a package.. ppl might think im crazy but .. games is king but in that league… 30/10/6/3 is a great night for lbj yet it doesn’t happen always, few times a week… if that now.. still the best but love, when rocking gives yo 26/10/5/2 everyyyy night and in a league that has like 4 board stats.. I said. why not
DD’s also a cat so.. love is built for that league and im now, im winning and hoping even with love out all season maybe, I could still win just bc my depth
yet like i said, 3 other teams are no joke, one has cousins/cp3/blake+

U think all that was a bad call? all in all or just a big as toss up? which i call fun!

none the less, good reads this month, keep it up! lets get some fantasy league updates! those blogs you made up at the start of the season were great and filled with info about players ,so it was double sweet

@Moez: I didn’t necessarily follow who you traded, but Bynum and Love are great keeper players. You probably inadvertently tanked this season, though.

@ChrisV: thats what im thinking.. but looking at the numbers, they would of beat me in the end with my old team
those darn rebound stats and i still have a smalllll chance i guess, if love is back for even just the fantasy playoffs.. thanks man

@Hotrod: yeah i also traded him for melo/jsmith in my other league 1/2

but for love, its all about the format
still.. seeing how love is down now, yeah bad idea lol but someone else might of got to him before me so

@BringDaRuckus: I don’t remember your team. If you need a guard, though, sure.
