Selby could put up some decent numbers off the bench, but I wouldn’t draft him thinking there’s even a semi-good chance he starts. And either way he’s last round fodder at this point for standard leagues (at best). Training camp should firm up roles and whatnot though.

I can’t see myself drafting Lin in any leagues, except maybe keepers, but even then probably not. His name value is so much higher than his fantasy value there’s almost no way he’ll drop far enough for me to take a flyer on him. Since I’m not even looking for him until rounds six or seven (and even then only on teams where I’m lacking at PG) I doubt I draft him. He’ll be fun to own though, so there’s that.

That said, his upside is probably more like 7 Ast/game rather than 5.5, so long as the Rockets play him starter’s minutes. It’s a young team, so he might not realize that potential, but it’s there. I’d be more concerned about him averaging 4.8 TO/36 as a starter last year. That’s playing with Amare and the lads. Add in some youthful mistakes in Houston and the TOs could be beyond terrible. Bad enough to impact his minutes in a serious way perhaps. I hope that isn’t the case, for his sake, but it’s something to keep in mind when people draft him for 9 cat leagues.
