When the Obamacare website launched, it was a lot like the Nuggets.  Load errors, mental mistakes, and only 6 people actually showed up because George Karl got fired.  But after JaVale McGee went down (I bet the Nuggets wish their healthcare bills were free!), the 1-3 Nuggets are now 11-6.  Coinky-dink?  I think not!  J.J. Hickson has been great at the 5 fillin’ in for Shaqtin-a-McGee, but it was Timofey Mozgov who has stolen the show the past two games, with 15+/15+ back-to-back including 17/20 against the hapless Nets last night.  But a trend is a-surfacing as Hickson has been under 18 minutes in those games while Mozgov was over 30.  Hickson is still starting, but Mozgov is just being a straight Godzilla out there against opposing B-teams.  I’m not ready to completely hand over the torch – I think Mozzy Bear getting in there was just matchup-based and Hickson gets back to the 30 minute range and Mozgov to the low-to-mid 20s.  But if you need boarding and scoring help, Mozgov is available in a lot of leagues and can still be valuable with that sort of run.  Pete even put him on the radar!  Now he’s in full view.  Even 12-teamers needing the big man help need to take the flyer while they can.  Here’s what else went down last night in the hoops-o-sphere:

Michael Carter-Williams – Trip-dub!  Dub-step!  Is dub-step still in?  I dunno, but MCW sure is!  27/12/10 with 3 steals for a triple double in the 2OT game vs. the Magic.  If he hadn’t have missed that time with the foot injury, we’d be hailing him as the king of fantasy sports.  Crazy he’s up to 3.1 spg right now.  Still will be inconsistent, but the upside is uber-elite.  Also remain worried about the foot flaring up.  I’d field ridiculous offers, but not shopping.

Victor Oladipo – Trip-dub times two!  Sextuplet-double!  Or something like that…  26/10/10 with 3 steals and only 3 TOs.  Mr Multi Cat!  I think that’s his official nickname.  I don’t think people will give you fair offers for him, hold steady.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist – Broke his hand.  How many hands can be broken within a week?  NBA players need to chew on some Caltrate or something!  After the plantar fascitis flared up over the holiday, I said he was droppable virtually everywhere, and I guess he got mad and punched the well.  Well not really, he got hurt trying to drive.  What is he Paul Walker?!  Too soon, man… Too soon… I’ve seen reports it’s his ring finger so I guess that means his knuckle or something, but either way, he’ll be out a while.  Jeffery Taylor gets a slight boost, but as I talked about with El Burro yesterday, I think Anthony Tolliver will get starts as a vet presence with Taylor getting more minutes as the first forward off the bench.  Tolliver should get a look as well in the deepest of deep leagues (REL, cough, REL), especially considering Taylor only had 3 minutes last night.

Nate Robinson – Banged his shooting wrist so hard it needed X-Rays.  They came back negative.  I wonder if they had to use the kid’s X-Ray.  “Why is that really bad basketball player getting his arm X-Rayed mommy?  He get a boo-boo too?”

DeMarcus Cousins – Had a precautionary DNP with a sore ankle.  “My kankle is all kankly!”  Joked after the game he would sit out all year for a comeback commercial.  Burn Derrick Rose!  Deep burn!

Arron Afflalo – 43 points.  Yes you read that correctly.  No, that’s not his player rating on NBA 2K14.  Is it in 100 intervals?  I can’t remember after the NBA Live days… I used to go nuts on that with the Lakers on Super Nintendo!  43/6/5 slash shooting 14-27 and aided by the overtime to get 53 minutes.  Not much I’m going to do about it, you hold em if ya got em, I’m not trading anything for him.

Glen Davis – 33 points.  Another non-typo.  Man the Sixers can’t play D!  Another guy who got 51 minutes for a 33/3/3 line.  How can a PF in 51 minutes only get 3 boards?!  Sheesh.  Nikola Vucevic was out as well, but the Magic had 34 boards in a 2OT game without him…. Unreal.  Mozgov had 20 himself!

Evan Turner – 24/6/5 but 8 TOs and shot only 7-16 with no threes.  I just hate Evan Turner.  Nice production but, meh.

Khris Middleton – I still like him, got a start, got 33 minutes, a decent 14/4/3 line with three treys.  Nice deep league option that’s being passed on.

Brandon Knight – Started 1-9, but ended 5-15 for 15/4/6 with three threes and remarkably no turnovers.  Who were the Bucks playing, some scrub guards like, I dunno, the Celtics?  Ding ding ding!  I still like Knight a lot though, 30+ minutes again, he boards a little, bangs treys a little, should be owned everywhere.

John Henson – A little disappointing in another start, going only 29 minutes for 11/5/2 with a block.  I still like him more than Big Baby.  Narrowly over Mozzy Bear, but it’s damn close.  Still like the Bucks to develop more and more as the season wears on.

Jared Sullinger – Neared a rainbow!  12/8/2/2/1 in 35 minutes.  Kelly Olynyk is out with a bum ankle.  God was like, “Son, I told you to wear the outdoor sandals when you’re wandering the desert!”  Sully is fine as a dub-dub threat, but I don’t buy season-long production at his level the past few weeks.  Brad Stevens scares the hell outta me.  Maybe his long-time girlfriend is getting a clue about an upcoming proposal.  “Brad is playing Jared a lot, I wonder… If he… Did he… Yes, he went to Jared!”  Stevens could be married, I dunno, I ain’t fact-checkin’ that one!

Andre Drummond – Becoming the very typical line for him.  10/18, no assists because he doesn’t know how to pass, 2 steals because, well, let’s be honest he lives in Detroit, only one block – they’re down a little than was expected – and 2-6 at the FT line which actually RAISED his FT% to 32.  Hah!  Such an interesting player for fantasy – elite in Rebs/Stls, fine in Pts, FG% (the % is elite but he doesn’t shoot much) and Blks, then destroys you in Asts and FT%.  He’s the rainbow of fantasy players!  But don’t say that to his face, ruins his street cred.

Greg Monroe – May be a little undervalued.  I love Monroe.  16/6/5/1/2 and taking a page from J Smoove‘s book learning how to multi-cat.  Like in whatever-the-hell that Dougie song is about, “Lemme teach ya how to multi-cat!”  Smoove was a block away from his rainbow as well.  But Smoove can’t shoot going 7-21 (0-4 3PTM) while Monroe killed it at 8-10.

Michael Beasley – Dwayne Wade sat out with bad knees, giving Beasley 31 minutes for 23/4 ball.  The minutes will only be there with injuries and late scratches, but I have a feeling down the stretch he’s gonna get a lot of run with those factors thrown in.  Keep your eye out late in the 2nd half.

Andray Blatche – After calling him an own in most leagues, was decent with 15/6/1 last night in only 24:04.  But it’s…

Alan Anderson – … A little surprising Blatche didn’t get more run with AA getting 30 minutes.  Anderson has been in the 20s most games, but I think he’s a bit undersized as a 3, where he started last night.  Although against Wilson Chandler/Jordan Hamilton it makes sense.  I remember loving Anderson on my teams as a Raptor last year, but besides Blatche, the fringe guys horrify me on this team.  Still, a near rainbow effort of 8/4/3/3/1 is encouraging.  Maybe AA is in a 12-step program to become the fantasy asset he was in stretches last year.

Ed Davis – Of course would have a career game against me in the REL.  Just been unreal for me in that league.  21/12 with 2 blocks in 33 minutes getting the start.  Zach Randolph was a scratch with a bad toe giving the Grizz bigs some minutes. But Davis is filtering into the rotation after the Marc Gasol knee injury with 10+/7+ in the past 3 with multi blocks in 3 of the last 4.  Worth a deeper league look.

Jon Leuer – Was riiiiiiiddddddiiiicccuulllooouusss!  10-13 23/9 with three blocks in 30 minutes.  Got the PT with all the injuries, but man… Ran with it!  The Suns bigs could not play worse defense.  Not too much of a takeaway as Z-Bo should be back by their next game, but if more injuries go down, Leuer would be a guy to look for in deeper leagues.

Kosta Koufos – Somehow got overshadowed even though he’s the big to own, flirting with a beautiful rainbow himself of 14/12/2/1/2.  I like KK a lot.  Maybe a good nickname would be “The Double Strikeout!”  At least it’s not three strikeouts…

Gerald Green – Only 24 minutes off the bench for 6/0/3/0/0/0 shooting 1-8.  Worth a stash in the deepest of leagues as Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe haven’t been able to stay healthy, but I’ve been saying he’ll be cuttable as soon as he’s back on da pine.

Morris Brothers – This time Marcus was better, usually it’s been Markieff, let’s throw the whole thing off!  Suns bigs were brutal in this game… Moving on.

Al Jefferson – If only someone said he was a great buy low!  19/12 with 3 blocks shooting 6-10.  I love you big Al.  Perfect big to usher the terrible Bobcats into the 2014 awesome Hornets.

Gerald Henderson – I think gets the smallest of boosts with MKG out.  Means he could move to the 3 at times.  A very boring 16/3/0/1/0 last night but shot 7-11 and could step up.  Gus Ayonin’!

IT2 – Crazy line of 24/0/3/4/0.  Usually you just fall into a rebound!  Also had no TOs.  In the box score it just looked funny.  Love what he’s doing and think he keeps it up.  You never are hoping for it, but I think a Greivis Vasquez injury (or, more optimistically, a trade) would make IT2 a dynamite fantasy option.

Derrick Williams – Yaaaawwwwwnnnnn.  What is it, “yawnstipating” I think Grey calls it?  5-10 13/0/0/1/0 in 27 minutes.  A PF without a board in 27 minutes?  Big Baby musta taught him how to box out!  Just never been a fan.

Golden State Warriors – Came back from 27 down, including a 42-15 4th quarter, to beat the terrible Raptors.  The shooters got hot at the right time and the rest is history!

Jonas Valanciunas – 8/6 with a block getting 27 minutes.  So effing annoying.  I think Rob Ford is running this team and calling the rotations while cracking out in his den.

Amir Johnson – Got benched to “motivate” and it “worked”.  16/10/1/1/1.  Worth looking at your wire and seeing if what he did last year helps you now – think he’ll be close to that.

Marquis Teague – Hold the phone D-League, he’s staying up!  Mike James has an injury and my ridiculously, terribly, horribly conceived FAAB buy of Teague in REL might pay off a little.  It was more for the future, but whatever!  This literally has no merit for virtually any other league, but Kirk Hinrich always gets hurt so someone will have to play when that happens…

Giannis Antetokounmpo – Has already grown an inch this year and might pull a David Robinson and be a 7-footer after being drafted as a 6’9 guy.  People grow while in the NBA?!  Hilarious!  Not much of a takeaway right now, but think that’s as good a place to sign off…

Next Game: I’m back with the Yahoo highlights!  I’ve got Pacers @ Jazz in what should be an utter beat down.  The biggest thing will be looking at how Trey Burke can keep improving on his ascent into the starting role and the good stats he’s been putting up.  Thanks for stopping by and good luck in the full Wednesday slate of games!

    Hey JB,

    Drop Jordan Hill for Mozgoz?

Would you offer any of: Teague, Lawson, Knight, IT2 for Kobe? He would probably want one of those higher tier guards.

Would offer Knight for Pau? Knight for Pekovic? Owner needs a guard

    Thanks

@The Fantasy Dick: Nah I wouldn’t yet. Knight I would, and IT2 I would. I’d take both of those bigs for knight right now still

Reggie Jackson played 30 minutes for the 1st time since opening night! Rejoice! But he didn’t do much. 13/4/4 with a 3.
Nicholson played 38 minutes and went 8/4/0/2/1. Crap. He needs to play well when he gets minutes or those minutes are going to disappear.

You know it’s a deep league when… your excited at the possibility of getting 10 minutes from Otto Porter. If he gives me 1 steal I’m going to be stoked. I don’t mean per game. I mean 1.

    Hey JB,

Who would you drop for Mozgov: Chalmers, Amir Johnson or Harrison Barnes (if you’d drop anyone)? I’ll probably use that spot as a streamer since I’m getting killed with injuries so far.

    Thanks!

Anyway, I was offered bledsoe and vucevic for my dragic, wes matthews and brandon bass. (brandon bass? i know but it’s a 12 team H2H and the other owners are maniacs on the waiver wire.) Should I pull the trigger on this? I really need big man help since marc gasol went down and i’m holding on to him.

Apparently you’re not the only one who hates Turner. The refs in last night’s arcade-like Philly-Magic game made some preposterous calls against E.T. — he didn’t touch Afflalo on his 3-point attempt that tied the game late, and after he b*tched he got called for an offense foul on a drive where there was absolutely no contact either way, which fouled him out. It was hilarious. Maybe Doug Collins was onto something when he benched him in his very first Summer League game.

After my klove and teague (in) for cp3 and kawhi trade, my team (10 team h2h) will be:

    Teague, Curry, KD, KLove, Hawes, Oladipo, T-Jones, G Hill, J Butler/Brewer, Frye/Henson.

Think the scrubs at the end can cut it? Or would you trade one of the better players for a tad more depth? E.g. KD for PG plus a mid-rounder, Hawes for a mid + late rounder. The waiver wire is now devoid of anything promising.

    Cheers JB!

    • Prodders says:
      (link)

@Prodders: Also, on the wire, who’s worth a flyer?

Waiters, Garnett, J Hill, Shump, Amir J, Bbiigggg Bbaaabbyyy, McLemore, Blatche, RJackson, Taj Gib, Kirilenko.

      Amir maybe?

Would rather a small but possible chance of mid-round value, than a solid chance of late round value, if you see what I mean.

      Thanks again.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Prodders: I think you’ll be OK at the back end with stars like that. More guys will emerge from the wire as well… I think the small with upside is Waiters, but he’s been jerked around a lot. I like Amir and Blatche and Hill the best without position concerns. But still think Waiters has the best upside of them all. Any time!

      • Prodders says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: cheers. Not sure why they aren’t keener on developing Waiters… I guess by the sounds of it there was some infighting. Super glad to have drafter rainbOladipo (excellent!), so fun to own and I think he has 2nd round potential as long as his fg% is ok.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:

Ugh, Danny Green and Wilson Chandler are killing me. I haven’t been able to watch much of Chandler, so I don’t know if it’s rust or a bad system for him or what. The Spurs play at a decent pace, and have a gorgeous offense, and yet have zero elite fantasy players. DAMN YOU, POP!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@Clyde Prompto: Chandler is playing good D actually, so I think they’re letting him use his energy there. Effin Popp! Both very frustrating.

      @Zack: Yup I would

  14. JB:

I’m staring at a few guys on the wire to add to my bench/ utility slot. Likely gonna dump DERRICK WILLIAMS, Ive seen enough of the empty lines (albeit, in only a couple games) as we discussed last week to already want to move on. So, how would you rank these guys in a deep 14 team, H2H, 11 Category League (standard 9 + FGM/FTM). Assume that I need overall production with emphasis in scoring, 3s, steals:

    1) Mike Dunleavy – Snell’s emergence. Butler return in a few weeks, but, still seems like a decent short term play. Think his last 3OT line was an aberration, not the norm.
    2) Marcus Morris – he and Markieff alternate productive games, now Green coming off bench too. Has friendly fantasy game.
    3) Jeffery Taylor – been gross of late. Major opportunity to steal a job, but needs to fend off Tolliver and get outta dog house.
    4) Jodie Meeks – Kobe return imminent. See his PT and production taking a major hit, but been solid to date.

    Appreciate the take…

    • Slim

      Slim says:
      (link)

@EL Burro: If I were to gamble on one it would be Marcus Morris. I agree with every bit of your analysis.

BTW i look forward to your comments in the daily roundups. Especially the game analysis. Thanks.

      • @Slim:

Cool, thanks for the take. I tend to agree – I like Marcus’ game more, Phoenix has a way more wide open offensive system, a “fantasy friendlier” division and of course, his youth upside. However, Marcus still seems to be lacking on consistency, which has more to do with the minutes. Part of the issue is Horny’s rotation – he generally only likes to use Marcus for about 22-24 min per night to get Green, Tucker, Markief and Chandler all some burn. Generally, it feels a lot like the Lakers assemblage of bodies — production is spread throughout with a different guy stepping up nightly, in turn, making it a bit of a cluster fudge for fantasy.

Here are his last 6 games MINUTES wise (24, 23, 17, 22, 23, 26). With those limited 22 minutes/ game, he’s still averaging 12 pts / 3 boards / 1.5 3pm /0 .8 steals /0 .5 blocks . If you extrapolate that production out over 30-32 minutes, we’re talking about a must own guy in 12-14 team leagues, but hasn’t happened yet. Not sure it will, unless injuries happen.

Long winded way of saying,…I’m waiting to see if Dunleavy starts next game on Thursday night vs. Heat… check latest on Butler below. That may sway me a little. Generally, hate Dunleavy’s game. So, I’m a little torn…

Regarding my “game” comments, appreciate that. I do watch a lot of basketball and being raised in a gym, am happy to contribute whenever possible. You do a solid job yourself. Sharing is caring.

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@EL BURRO: Agree I think Morris has the most upside. The Suns bigs played AWFUL last night, and Marcus was the best. Well maybe Taylor has the most true upside, but I’d need to see how the rotation pans out in Charlotte. Yeah that news byte is why I said Butler is droppable in all 10 and 12 teamers to some commenters chagrin. Toe injuries derail you in hoops, especially when I saw it needed an MRI. A toe MRI?! I knew it was bad. Always love you comments as well man, adds a great asset to the Razzball Hoops experience!

          • @JB Gilpin:

            Word. Thanks, JB

Like I said before, you got a great handle on this NBA fantasy stuff. Keep up the awesome work and I’ll continue to add some color whenever possible.

            • @EL BURRO:

JB, you and I disagreed on Aminu the other day (I liked him in place of “GOD” for 4-6 weeks as an ADD; you didn’t). So, I made a point to watch tonight’s game to watch for myself… vs. Dallas.

UPDATE 12/4: Thru 3 quarters of play, Aminu has got starters minutes (26 min) + 14 pts / 16 boards/ 3 steals. Looks pretty damn solid. I would pre-emptively grab in most 14-16 team leagues now before the game goes final.

              • JB Gilpin

                JB Gilpin says:
                (link)

@EL Burro: Yeah Aminu killed it today. Just no front line rebounding from the Mavs. Sure he’s the add now of the 4 you listed before and over Taylor, but he’s not a nightly dub dub threat in my opinion. 14-16 team add, yeah I buy that

                • @JB Gilpin:

Yeah, I actually added him after the Brow’s injury based on pure speculation – hoping for playing time. He might not be a nightly double-double, but I’m very encouraged by the involvement and the aggressiveness on the boards last 2 games… Still thinking he could be a 12-14 pts/ 7-8 boards / 2-3 steals+blocks combined nightly.

@EL Burro: I’m with ya, I’d say only 8-9 Pts bc he’s just not a good offensive player, but buy the rest of those projections which is still valuable for sure. Especially in the deeper leagues like yours.

@Aj: Yeah I think I’d take Anderson unless needing boards n blocks. But to kinda counter what Prodders said and what I wrote yesterday, Anderson and that toe issue is a slight concern too. I think in a vacuum I’d take Anderson but would want the guy that fit my team needs.

      • Prodders says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: True that… throwing in my amateur 2 cents worth too much today, I was locked out of my apt and had nowt else to do for a half hour!

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:

@Prodders: Haha well glad we could entertain!

i’m trying to trade out my bledsoe and boozer for steve blake and drummond. do you think that sounds fair? bledsoe and boozer has good upside but i’m looking to trade out for more assists on my team.

    • matt says:
      (link)

@Kevin: be prepared to punt FT% with drummond. Hopefully you don’t own dwight also cuz you’d be screwed

      • Kevin says:
        (link)

@matt: i also own dwight. hahah. if i’m going to lose FT% with dwight, might as well make it worth it elsewhere with drummond, right?

        • matt says:
          (link)

@Kevin: I guess to each his own..lol I own dwight and wanted drummond also I just can’t afford 2 sub 50% ft shooters on my team. It’s roto though not h2h cat

          • Prodders says:
            (link)

@matt: if punting ft% then maybe it works. Personally I’d keep Bledsoe and trade away Boozer and Dwight for Boogie or something.

    • Prodders says:
      (link)

@Kevin: barely more assists, and I think you’re giving up more than you’re getting. I’d rather have even Bledsoe alone than those two guys. He’s been close to sacred first round territory.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Kevin: I think the trade is pretty even because I like Blake a lot. If H2H you can shoulder the FT% but Roto you can’t have both and expect to win, bc you get the 1 in pts there

  19. TR says:

I have too many shooting guards and not enough bigs. Who should I target? And what do I do with kawhi? I gave up Holiday for him awhile back and am having some buyers remorse

    Irving
    Hayward
    Gay
    Griffin
    Lopez
    Kemba
    Lee
    Burke
    Mayo
    Joe Johnson
    Kawhi
    Knight
    Oladipo

Top free agents are both J Crawfords, Ariza, and Tristan Thompson

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@TR: Yeah I don’t ya for the Kawhi remorse… I would stand pat and hope it turns around with some injuries or a less “Popp” rotation. I think grabbing Thompson would help, but you don’t have anyone droppable… I’m afraid of Mayo, maybe offer him straight up for Valanciunas who I think is a great buy low would fit

      • TR says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: @JB Gilpin: This league only has 8 teams so JV isn’t owned. Also looking at Ilyasova, who isn’t owned. He helped carry my team from the cellar to playoffs last year

        • Zandy says:
          (link)

@TR: I’d drop mayo for JV then and also joe Johnson for ilyasova and it’s problem solved – just my opinion

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@TR: Ohhh yeah that changes some. Tough to drop JJ right now with all the injuries and what he’s doing, I’d lose Mayo for JV

  20. Aldo says:
    (link)

just got offered Big Baby for my Harrison Barnes. Not gonna take it, but I want to counter it with Harrison Barnes and George Hill for Rudy Gay… is that enough for Gay?

    • Prodders says:
      (link)

@Aldo: probably, but a Gay is such a fg% killer that I’d only do it if you’re punting.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Aldo: Yeah it’s very close, depends on Gay owner.

      • Aldo says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: awesome thanks man! I’m about to offer the trade. But first here’s my team…

Beverley, Stuckey, G. Hill, H. Barnes, Josh Smith, Ibaka, Frye, Mozgov, Knight, Irving, Jordan Hill, Beal, and Jimmy Butler

Would it be a smart idea to sell Barnes now since Iggy will be back soon?

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Aldo: Yeah I think that’s a good move, I like the trade for your team. Overall you need to find a few more asts though :)

  21. Bobby says:
    (link)

Got offered Aldridge for my Klay and G. Hayward?? What do you guys think?? I know it’s a bit uneven, but they are both inconsistent and I’m struggling with all the injuries. H2H points btw. Thanks!!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Bobby: If your roster comp needs it I might, but I’d probably hold in a points league, but I’m not as versed in Pts! I feel like Klay would be big in H2H Pts

10 Team weekly 8cat H2H, prob not starting any of them for at least 1.5 weeks, who is the best bench stash wilson chandler, stuckey, pierce, waiters or bknight

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

      @Zandy: I def think Knight

      • Zandy says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Thanks jb! just trying to get a little color, why all the love for knight? Seems to me like a guy with poor fg% and ft% does a little bit in a bunch of categories but not a standout. Do you see him as anyhting more than late round value?

Seems to me like at best he avgs 14 pts, 1.5 3s, 3.5rebs, 4.5 assists, 1 stl on 42% fg with 77% ft

        • TR says:
          (link)

@Zandy: He’s young and seems to have solid potential, and considering the Bucks have no one else that can do anything, he’ll all get all the time and opportunities he needs.

          • Zandy says:
            (link)

@TR: Isnt that what he had his past 2 years in Detroit where he played like 32 mpg?

            • TR says:
              (link)

              @Zandy: I give up

            • JB Gilpin

              JB Gilpin says:
              (link)

@Zandy: I think there’s more talent around him, sadly, in MIL than in DET. And he’s really young with a change of scenery. I would push up the scoring and way up the asts on what you put on there earlier

  23. Is Kanter, Tobbias or Sanders worth a claim with a drop of either Kirk Hinrich or Tyson Chandler? 12-team head to head each category

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:

@Wnwdotcom: Ehhhh, they’re all about in the same range. I’d probably hold your two

  24. Lmnop says:

Bledsoe, Brewer for my Rubio, T. Evans? H2h.. I have to many injured players. Beal, Davis, Butler, Parson. smh.. Need points bad!

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Lmnop: Sheesh! Injury bug got ya… I don’t think that’s enough to give up Rubio even though i know you need points. I’d look for a better trading partner

        @JB Gilpin:

        Thanks!

  25. Shaft says:
    (link)

    JB/Slim,

Terrence Jones was kept under 25 mins again tonight. Is this going to be a trend with McHale or is it just a function of Parsons being injured and playing a small lineup against the Suns? Is it time to start thinking about dropping him for Sullinger, Hill, Henson or Plumlee or another Big on the wire?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Shaft: Sorta a blend of the two. Yeah I think Sullinger is a good add right now, but just a temporary fix, I like Henson if you need blocks

  26. Sio says:
    (link)

Do you guys think Jimmy Butler will be back soon? And will he be any good? He’s been out for more than the 3 weeks projected and he’s still on the wire. Would you drop a guy like tristan thompson who’s getting pts and boards but not much else for jimmy b? need more defensive stats. other players on the wire are: redick, meeks, blair and mcroberts.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Sio: There was a report he’s still gonna be a while – I’m avoiding right now. I’d hold TT after a big game tonight.

      • Sio says:
        (link)

@JB Gilpin: Just saw the box score! Yeah holding on to thompson defnitely. Putting butler on watchlist. I think he’ll go off though coz hinrich doesn’t really look to score and he’ll be the only source of back court pts for chicago. Turf toe is a big downer though. Connective tissue damage tends to linger for months.

        • JB Gilpin

          JB Gilpin says:
          (link)

@Sio: I have no connective tissue in my brain and its lingered for 25 years!

  27. Bren says:
    (link)

Would you rather drop knight, Tobias, beverly or big baby to stash Larry sanders?

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@Bren: If I had to pick one I think it’d be Tobias since he can’t heal his ankles. But I’d hold all 4

  28. hamtime says:
    (link)

would you trade lawson for kawhi straight up?

lawson has been solid, but could be a good time to buy low on kahwi. thing is, he really has been unimpressive.

    • JB Gilpin

      JB Gilpin says:
      (link)

@hamtime: Nah, I think Lawson was ranked ahead of Kawhi virtually everywhere (at least in my ranks for sure) and Lawson has been great (minus the FG% today!) Def hold
