Playoff spots, berthed! Like a dog having its litter under the porch, the Barking BassetHounds and Martyball both clinched playoff spots with the Hounds moving into a 1 game lead. We need to eschew the Baha Men’s 1-hit wonder for the Hounds theme music! Both squads are shoe-ins for bye weeks, with a pretty clear 6 vs. 7 race for the final playoff spot between me and Breaking Batum. I’m gonna slip his team some of that Ricin! Too mean? Here’s how the rest of week 18 went down in the REL:Please, blog, may I have some more?
Through another All-Star Break shortened week, and Martyball and the BassetHounds don’t wanna be separated! Both with 5-4 wins to remain tied for the #1 seed, while the race for that 6th playoff spot heats up. We had one of the hottest weeks on the wire post-trade deadline with some owners making it rain with their FAAB, and here’s how the rest of week 17 went down in the REL:Please, blog, may I have some more?
We’re through the break and nearing the REL playoffs, with the dogfight for that #6 playoff spot heating up. I have the Slam Dunk champion on my team, do I get any bonus points?! Those relentless BassetHounds and Martyball both remain tied at the top, now 11 games over the field. Looking like our bye week winners and spots 3-5 are fairly locked up! But you know what happens when you assume… You make a Brandon BASS out of you and me! Here’s how the rest of week 16 went down in the REL:Please, blog, may I have some more?
We have a new fearless leader! The Barking BassetHounds with a 7-2 win catches them up with Martyball – IFBL for a tie at first. And we thought Marty would never be caught! On the other end of the playoffs, now there’s 7 teams within 4 games of each other vying for the #6 playoff spot. It’s class warfare! The fatsos up top gliding in and all us poor people scratching and clawing to stay alive! Here’s how the rest of week 15 went down in the REL Dynasty League:Please, blog, may I have some more?
And the league tightens up! Our once dominant Martyball has struggled of late, losing 4-5 to me two weeks ago and picking up a 3-6 loss to Mr. Green in week 14. Super Green! Martyball is still our #1 seed, but only a 2 game cushion over the BassetHounds and down to a single-digit lead over spots 2-4. That #6 seed for the REL playoffs is wide open! Here’s how the rest of week 14 went down in the REL:Please, blog, may I have some more?
Woooo! Huge upset in the REL as my team of crapsticks somehow managed to eek out a 5-4 victory over the almighty behemoth that is Martyball. Talk about lucky timing! Even with the loss, Martyball has a huge lead on the field, with a 3.5 game lead over 2nd and a 9.5 lead over 3rd. Martyball is just trying to make it interesting! Here’s how the rest of week 13 went down in the REL:Please, blog, may I have some more?
Wise man once said, “if nobody talks about a fantasy league, it no longer exists…?” Well, I certainly wish that was the case for the REL league! But alas, even if it’s a little late for this glorious Monday, we take a look back to our Razzball Elite League with our first place dominating Martyball – IFBL putting up the immaculate 9-0 victory. An unstoppable run! Here’s how the rest of week 12 went down in the REL:Please, blog, may I have some more?
Drama drama drama! Another big trade with Stephen Curry getting moved AGAIN put the league in a furor, with it the talk of the town. The REL water cooler at the REL office had all sorts of rumors going around. “Is it fair?” “Which team wins?” “Is Slim’s beard from taking too many beaver tranquilizers?!” In the end, both teams felt like winners, it was a joyous week with hoards of FAAB adds, everyone is happy… well, everyone except for me and my luck and scrubby team. Here’s how the rest of week 11 went down in the REL:Please, blog, may I have some more?
Martyball still illin’! A 6-3 win keeps him 6.5 games ahead of the pack, but Slim had a monster 9-0 win to vault him into 4th. Reppin’ Razzball well! Unlike me… Built for the future! I could us a Back to the Future right now… Another week with some big FAAB bidding and the playoff seeding looking like a 7-team race for 6 spots – here’s how week 10 went down:Please, blog, may I have some more?
Christmas was brutal for me in the REL League in year 2, but brought sugarplums and more class warfare to the top of the league, as teams 1-7 had winnings weeks. We’re still catching up with Martyball, but they only mustered a 5-4 win against Like A Josh – IFBL and showing some cracks in the armor. Week 13 is circled my man! Here’s how the rest of the REL went down in Week 9:Please, blog, may I have some more?
