On Saturday night, I was in a German shop which sold a variety of imports, from marzipan to steins to cuckoo clocks. As I was eyeballing the clocks on the wall, the shop keeper came up to me to chat. As my companion asked about maintenance of the clocks, he noted that like anything made in Germany, if you take good care of it, it will last a thousand years.

Andre Drummond exploded with Christmas cheer off the bench last night with 11 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks in just 21 minutes. Holy night! Come they played him, pa rum pum pum pum. Aaan-dre Druuum-moond, pa rum pum pum pum.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Sorry for the late post, folks, but James had an emergency pop up and I was neck deep in work related stuff. You don’t care, just so long as someone can sing the praises of J.J. Hickson from last night. Ahem.
Please, blog, may I have some more?People had grown increasingly frustrated with Robin Lopez. With Anthony Davis back, he saw a mere 15 minutes the day before, and in the past week, he was only averaging 7.5 PPG and 3.3 RPG. Well, Davis finished with 16/5/0 and a block while Lopez earned 22 points, 9 rebounds, an assist and 2 blocks.
Please, blog, may I have some more?I don’t care who you are, if you are able to get a triple double then you deserve some praise. Well, unless it’s one of those triple doubles with 10 turnovers. Jordan Crawford has been inserted into the starting lineup and has been a plus player in just about every category (not FG%). Last night he went for 27 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists and a scorching 5 of 10 from behind the arc. Last week I wrote that you should pick him up if you can handle the FG% hit. If he’s still on your wire, stop reading and go pick him up. Even if you can’t take the hit, just pick him up and trade him to someone else. He will be a valuable player this year. Here’s what else happened around the NBA last night:
Devin Harris – Got the start, yay! Played only 14 minutes, boo! 8 points, 1 assist, 1 steal, yuck!
Please, blog, may I have some more?I never thought I’d talk about him again this season, unless he got a DUI or something, but Lamar Odom had a pretty good night with 6 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks. The game before, he went 10/5/1/0/1 and before that, 5/9/2/2/3.
Please, blog, may I have some more? With Kyle Lowry and Andrea Bargnani out of the line-up due to injury concerns, Jose Calderon started for the Raptors and finished with a triple double (18 points, 10 rebounds, 14 assists), plus a block and a steal. Eventually, Lowry and Bargnani will come back and there will likely be no place left for Calderon besides the bench, but for me, Jose will always have some value.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Jared Dudley did right in Phoenix last night, scoring 22 points and adding 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals with 2 3pm in 43 minutes. The 22 points were a season high, and after starting the season looking kind of like a Dud-ley, the past two games he’s looked sort of Stud-ley (hey that’s the headline!).
Please, blog, may I have some more? The Power Forward situation in Phoenix is dreadful. Luis Scola returned to the starting line up, and only managed to play for 13 minutes. Thanks to terrible shooting, he finished the night 4 points to go with a rebound, assist, steal and block. Markieff Morris, meanwhile, had 11 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals.
Please, blog, may I have some more?In Kyrie Irving’s first game back from injury, he helped the Cavs beat the Lakers. Surprised? You shouldn’t be, because the Lakers stink right now. Now a confession… the headline was lying. Now are you surprised? Irving punished the Lakers going 28/6/11/1 with four 3PM and shooting 11-21 from the field. Now that he has shaken off the rust, we should expect him to score 100 points in his next game. Sorry that’s irrational me. Rational me says if you own Irving then be very happy, and if you traded for him, then make fun of the owner that traded him to you immediately. Like right now. DO IT NOW. Yikes!
