Before I get into draft stuff, I wanted to give everyone a head’s up that Steve Nash has a boo-boo and is likely to miss four or so weeks. More news as it develops. Now on to draft stuff…

Due to some last minute procrastinators (I can relate!), I ended up commishing two of the Razzball Commenter Leagues, both of which drafted last week.

After another solid game of 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks, Marcin Gortat is looking like quite the deal from draft day. On Friday, he went 16/16 with 3 blocks, and on Halloween, he went 10/9 with 5 blocks. Before that, he had 14/11 with 4 blocks.

In the preseason, people were asking me if they should take Serge Ibaka in the third round or the fourth round, as if those were the only two options. Sure, he’s great with the blockin’ and all, but I do not consider him a well rounded Center.

In terms of actual acquisition versus projected round/value, James Harden was one of the top three players in any draft I participted in. People were anxious to get a hold of the great bearded one. Why? Well, last night was a reason why.

A reader stepped up to open up another league for the Razzball Commenter League, so for those of you who were just waiting, and waiting, and waiting for an opportunity, one has arisen:

You’ve heard it elsewhere but hear it again here, Kevin Martin is now on the Oklahoma City Thunder and James Harden and his beard are now with the Houston Rockets. Also in the trade, Jeremy Lamb goes to OKC and Cole Aldrich plus other guys head over to Houston.

Eric Bledsoe played a whopping 43:38, and in that time he hit 22 points with 11 assists, 9 steals and 5 rebounds. In the preseason, he has averaged 13.1 PPG, 4.6 APG, 5.0 RPG, and 3.0 SPG. Do with those numbers what you will.

The Sixers had to have been impressed by the performance of Jason Richardson last night, where he did what the Knicks deep threat couldn’t (more on that later) and scored 6 of 12 from downtown, finishing with 23 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and a block.
