@Tony: Good call. I understand if halfway through a season, you realize you're team is in trouble and you start rebuilding for next year, but what's the fun of sitting through three years of fake basketball in order to have a chance at doing well in year four? Grab two studs, intelligently fill out the rest of your roster, plug away during the season - enjoy!

@Adam: gotya. All i know is you have to have guys who put up MAD fantasy-pts.... and MOST of big name studs are kept, they hold onto these guys with a death grip, because if they get thrown back in they realize they're not getting them back.... I know last year I took like 3 younger/rookie/2nd year guys in the draft, that were OK and in the future will be studs, but i dont wanna sit and wait 3 years on players, with price tags rising each year ya gotta win now.... i think im going to go balls out on a player or two and buy them spending most of my stash to compliment Curry and David Lee and see what happens. thanks man

@Tony: For what it's worth, on ESPN's Mason & Ireland show yesterday, Chris Sheridan expressed his belief that the NBA will have a season (in some form) this year. Seemingly, it comes down to what happens this weekend. I think you're head's in the right place when strategizing for the draft. Buy a guaranteed performer like Rose or LeBron or whomever. Buy two big guys and trust yourself (and Razzball!) to find you great, cheap deals to supplement the couple studs you splurged on. That's kinda what you're already doing by taking George over West. I don't think George will be more productive than West next season, but I also don't think West will be three times more productive than George either.

@Adam: Yeah I think the greedy B-ballers and the Greedy owners have to hash something out, its ridiculous how these guys fight and they’re all raking….

Keepers: So i keep Lee, Curry, darco and george and that puts me at $92 so i’d have $118 to spend at the auction.

I read your post on George are you pretty high on him? I cant decide what to do with David West either. I hate kicking a guy back in, he’ll go for probbaly $5 than that in the draft, i watched it happen last year, prices are inflated bc there’s so many owners and not enough quality players to spend your money on.

I’m actually thinking about keeping what you said, taking my $118 to the draft and going wild to get a guy like D. Rose. He went for $66 last year like I said. If I spent that on him i’d still have almost $60 to buy my other 3 players. You only have to buy 8 with that $200, then there’s a supplemental snake draft where we have an order based off last year of how we draft to complete our teams…. I know $60 doesn’t sound like much to get 3 more players, but I’d rather have a D. Rose caliber guy. What do you think?

@Tony: Good to hear from you, Tony. Foolishly, I DO kinda think we’ll have some basketball this season. I’m just about the only one that feels this way, I know, but there would be such a heavy profit dump from a lost season that I have blind faith that both sides will become more – not less- flexible as the days tick away. That said, I’m guessing we won’t have an 82-game season. Re: keepers – Yeah, you kinda have to go with Lee and Curry at those prices. Then, I think DarCo and Boy George get you the most value for your dollar. Then you can call your team Young Yeller because everyone on your squad plays in yellow jerseys. Oddly, David West has popped up several times in Pacers rumors.
